Had family in from out of town and made a reservation for 6 at 7pm on December 5th. Showed up to find the restaurant closed, no sign on the door and no phone call or email from them. Tried calling and VM was full. Had to go put our name on a list somewhere else and wait for a table.

We really wanted to like this place but the food was frankly awful. The bread is good, but the salad had a very bland dressing. I ordered the carbonara for my main course — what they serve is not carbonara. Carbonara, by definition, is an egg based sauce. The«carbonara» served here is just pasta in alfredo sauce with some precookedd ham, and not very good alfredo sauce at that. Dessert was so bad as to be comical. I ordered the«Spumoni(Deconstructed)» which was described explicitly as being topped with pistachios, cherries, and chocolate shavings. What I received was a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream topped with a few canned black cherries and a dollop of whipped cream. It was bizarre. When the server came back around I asked«Was this supposed to have pistachios and chocolate on it?» to which he replied«I made it for you like this because I thought you would like it better than the way it is described in the menu.» What?! When I ordered all I said was«I’d like the Spumoni, please.» He did agree to take it off the bill, however. Ultimately I have decided on two stars, mostly because I did like the bread and I enjoyed our booth. Also, looking through the photos on here, many of the dishes do look better than what we got. So maybe go and give it a try, but whatever you do, for the love of all that is holy do not order the fake«carbonara» or «spumoni.»

All I can say is the food is unbelievable large portions for the price it’s really reasonable .love the private booth very romantic or private like you’re in your own little world. The service was great we had 10 of us and they did an awesome job every single thing that we ate on the menu was good not one of us had a bad meal. I wish we would’ve taken pictures of food gobbled it up so fast. This is really Italian it feels like you’re a gangster’s restaurant love it. they have a pizza oven ambience is great.

Excellent service! We came in for a late lunch at 2:30pm on a Saturday, and had the place to ourselves. We were greeted promptly and quickly seated. Our waiter brought out warm bread and menus, and we nibbled while browsing. We decided on Spinach and Artichoke dip as our appetizer, which was cheesy and warm and oh-so-delicious and I ordered the fettuccine alla vodka with grilled chicken, while my boyfriend ordered linguine pesto with portobella mushrooms. Both were very tasty, but I have to say that I prefer vodka sauce to be creamier with less tomato taste. Our waiter was extremely attentive and we did not have to ask for a single refill. Which was a blessing, because I was so focused on the dip and my entrée I never even noticed if my water glass was full or empty :-) I gave them four stars instead of five because while the food is very good, there isn’t anything on the menu that sets them apart from any other Italian restaurant in this area. Their outstanding service, however, is what will bring us back to this restaurant.

Great food! Service was a bit slow and could have been better but the food made up for it. The chicken parmigiana and bread are fantastic. Also try the salad or calamari for an appetizer. Will definitely be back.

Wow. Wine super impressive… to be continued We had the Caprise for an appetizer, wonderful! The spinach ravioli and chicken cacciatore — perfect! The tiramisu is homemade but must review later as I am taking it to go for later

Good Italian food in a Dallas suburb? Seems like you would have a better shot at winning the Powerball. However, that’s just what the folks at Fede Trattoria managed to achieve. Yes the décor is over the top, but I want to feel like Don Corleone when taking in an Italian meal. The only thing missing was the white cat. The food was excellent. We had the fried raviolis and meatballs as an appetizer and they were delicious. I had the veal for the main course and cook on it was the best I’ve had in Big D. They need a little help on the wine list and signage for the restaurant is terrible. You really cannot see it from the road. Never the less, if you want a good Italian meal that doesn’t require a plane ride, this place is it. Now to buy a Powerball ticket.

Came here with my family. The service is very nice and attentive! The décor is dark and fake-fancy. Tries too hard. But we come for the food. And Unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired. The fried calamari was limp and dripping in grease(and served with tartar sauce! Just wrong). The spaghetti dish came out with a glob of marinara on top of cold plain spaghetti(cooked too long, not al dente) with a couple of rock hard meatballs.(Traditionally you toss the spaghetti lightly in the sauce first and then pour a bit more on top with the meatballs. And the meatballs should melt in your mouth). The cannelloni was edible but again the sauce was goopy and the stuffing too hard. There were other dishes but I won’t bother to take them all apart. None of the food is made authentically or with any subtlety. It’s all very heavy handed and too salty. And the wine list is just awful, mundane choices. And my wine tasted like it had sat opened in the fridge for a long time. Prices too high for the quality you’re getting. We won’t be back. The food scene in Frisco leaves everything to be desired. Disappointing.

Finally a great Italian restaurant in Frisco. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is what I would expect out of a nice Italian restaurant; intimate, high end, and quaint. All this without a high price tag. We definitely will be back to try other items and desserts. If you want a nice romantic evening or a great place to go with family, this is it.

Great Italian cuisine! Very classy and romantic atmosphere. I highly recommend it. Having dinner with my lovely wife, Dianne, as I type this review. I had a wonderfully and plentiful eggplant parmigiano and she had a deliyhtful quattro formaggio ravioli.

My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, and I were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. I almost felt like I was Italian. The service was gracious. Our host(perhaps the owner?) said he could customize our meals however we wanted. This gesture makes my «on-the-side,» «no cheese,» «no eggs» way of ordering perfect. I had the chicken piccata with spaghetti and the delicate lemon-white wine-caper sauce on top. The chicken was tender and flavored just right. Half our party had the special, which include scallops. I had a bite of my husband’s scallop and was impressed. It was cooked just right. I will say it was unbelievably hot. It was unbelievably hot outside, but it was almost uncomfortable. Despite that one minor issue, it was a lovely dinner.

I was really rooting for this place. First time here… the service was good. The wine list is descent– good pour. As for the food we started with the calamari — which was a bit dry for my taste and didn’t have much flavor. The side salad was free — always nice– but I would have preferred a Caesar. For the entrée I got the gamberi fra diavolo and my wife ordered the eggplant both not impressive. The eggplant was a bit burned on the sides and with too much batter. The gamberi had too much sauce but the shrimp was perfectly cooked. All this came with $ 60 price tag. May give them another shot

Stopped in for a quick bite… wow what a great experience Everyone has been so attentive and nice(granted it is not a peak time on Tuesday night) but you can’t fake sincerity and smiles for very long… The food was great as well! We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely time celebrating the sale of our home, and the reunion of our family under one roof here! The wine is wonderful, the atmosphere is beautiful and intimate, and the service is superb! Max was our waiter and he is excellent! We ordered a traditional dish of spaghetti and meatballs which our son ate up, Rigatoni Abruzzi which has a wonderful sauce, and Costolo Breve which is very rich in flavor for beef tips! It is certainly a place to celebrate s special occasion or a special someone! Mucho Bella!

I’m rooting for this place since it’s nearby but wasn’t all that impressed on our first visit. Ordered vodka and soda and the soda had no carbonation. Sent it back for wine. Good pour of wine, so that was a positive. Maybe these menus are temporary but they are needlessly enormous and cumbersome. Crazy to review a menu, I know, but try to juggle 5 pieces of enormous card stock held together with 3 rings and you’ll see what I mean. The breadsticks were very dried out as if they’d been sitting in the warmer too long and didn’t seem fresh. How about some simple fresh bread to go with the olive oil? Appetizer of toasted ravioli was really good and came out nice and hot. We were served a complimentary house salad which was good except got very limp with too much dressing. Hey, it was free! Husband wasn’t blown away by with lasagna and son and I split the fettuccine with peas and ham. It was pretty good and very rich. However, it came out lukewarm. We passed on dessert. Again, this place is new so maybe it’s working out some kinks. The service was extremely attentive, so they’ve got that going for them!

We really enjoyed our 1st visit to this cozy Italian restaurant! They recently opened and are off to a nice start in my opinion. They do offer valet service at the front door, so ladies wear heels if you’d like. The décor is red and black with tons of black and white photos. Though it’s a bit much(almost tacky) it definitely feels comfortable and relaxed. I liked that they had romantic booths, large family tables and a bar area to give choices for seating. They start you out with fresh breadsticks, in addition to having a pizza oven and chef salad station where he will create something for you. We had beef carpaccio and Caesar salad for our apps. Both were flavorful and light enough to continue on with pasta dishes! My entrée was a chicken and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo– so fresh and delicious! My friend had 8 layer lasagna, he really enjoyed it… There wasn’t any leftovers lol =] We will be back soon!
