We used to love this place, but this visit was terrible. The smoked sirloin was very tough and had tons of fat. The crab cakes were not eatable and tasted like frozen food out of the microwave. The server was nice, but it took forever to get our food. Although, the manager took off the crab cakes, we won’t be back. The quality of the food is just not good.

This is probably by far the BEST steak place that you can find around these cities. I loved the service here, these waitresses were so kind and enthusiastic for us. I would recommend this place for anyone who is coming to Texas for a perfect steak for the full experience.

We went durring a busy time and were seated within 10 minutes. We were surprised at this after being told 35 – 40 minute wait. So after we got sat down, we looked at the menu for awhile… hoping for a waiter to show up and ask for our drink order… which never occurred. We continued to wait while other tables were sat and served drinks. Besides the hostess we were never talked to or asked how we were doing even though we saw the manager help bussing tables. I understand being busy but ignoring a newly sat table for close to 30 minutes made us walk out without even a drop of water to drink. Service is terrible. Either teamwork or training is the reason for this. I will not ever be returning again and will be telling my friends to avoid this place. I am not posting this for attention but it certainly needs to be corrected if they have any thought about the future of the business.

Went for happy hour. Drinks were great, but the $ 3 bar bites appetisers were meh… You get what you pay for I guess. The drink specials at HH were good enough for us to go back, but we will order food from the regular menu.

Low level steakhouse. We went there for a quick dinner at the last minute and it was like a step back in time. I felt like it was the 90s. The service was fine and the food was okay but it was just a very mediocre steak house. I should have listened to my friends who recently ate there and said it was just ‘Meh’.

I showed up at this location hoping for the same pleasure I experienced at the Dallas restaurant. Not as good. I ordered the peppercorn rib-eye steak, medium well. The layer of pink on that thin steak was quite thick. It was also tough to cut. The taste though was phenomenal. My mom ordered the top sirloin and there was a noticeable difference in that medium well vs. mine. The top sirloin was a much thicker cut so there was little or no pink. It was also rather dry and the taste was bland. It tasted like a piece of meat someone(not Chef me!) would cook at home. We both loved our potatoes! She ordered the garlic mashed and I ordered the loaded mashed. Let me tell you, the loaded mashed potatoes are loaded! It seems like other places skimp on the loads o’ goodness in loaded mash but they really topped the potatoes with everything you’d top a baked potato. Every bite oozed with extra everything! Before dinner, we were deciding if we would order the smoked sirloin when we noticed we could get a sample of the smoked sirloin. About the medium well, pink. It never touches the grill so that’s to be expected. What wasn’t expected was that the sample would come out cold as ice. There had been no heat applied to our meat! Gross! We told the waiter and he apologized but really, how did that happen? It had a nice layer of fat and may have been tasty but all I experienced was cold meat. I was also disappointed when I went into the restroom. It smelled like bleach. Great, they cleaned. Then I noticed an open bottle of bleach on the sink and the top from the bleach in the sink. Someone’s kid could have been in there swallowing a delicious cup of poison! Where’s good ol’ Mr. Yuck when you need him? There were also holes in the counter tops where soap dispensers used to be. Overall, upgrade your restrooms, please? It definitely took away from my experience and made me feel like the food wasn’t worth the cost.

You got to like a place when its open on Thanksgiving Day and they serve excellent steaks. We thanked the staff for being open and enjoyed our meal. Large portions so come very hungry or think leftovers. We have been to the other location in Plano and they are both excellent places to get a meat meal. And the brownie ice cream desert goes quick no time for photos.

Brice, the Bartender, was very friendly and showed us wonderful hospitality. My girlfriend and I both work in the service industry and we were both happy to see that excellent service still exists in North Texas. Food was on point as well. Cheers

It was a 45 minute wait, which was surprising, considering how average the food was and slow. Our hostess was pretty rude. After she sat us, without utensils, she was walking away, not even looking at us and said«have fun». Pretty rude. Our server, Luis, was verry cordial but at one point did leave us without drinks for a while. But overall luis was great. Food was very slow coming out. I saw why there was no sence of urgency in the entire place. The manager there was walking around, this supper busy place, as if there was one table in the place. So I cant really fault the staff for how they work, they are living up to the managers standards. Even though my wife loves the crab cakes here, and finds it hard to find good ones, we will not be going back!!!

Meh. Okay I guess. The food is 3 star at a 5 star price and service is good but clearly they want to turn you around ASAP. We come here as a family every few months and always think it is time to find another steakhouse. I think we will as I write this. If the food lived up to the price we would be more forgiving.

Havent had good steaks in a while and texas land and cattle just made in my to go list for steak. their boneless ribeye with cream of corn and steak soup was amazing and servers are very friendly. I would recommend this to my friends and anyone who wants to eat good steaks.

We had a very good meal. We started with a stuffed poblano pepper with chicken and cheese. We are on more of a paleo, protein diet. This was great as it was not fried with batter. Yum I liked the little kick I had a nice filet, my spouse had a NY Strip, textbook steak, beautifully grilled and tender. We sat at bar, great service. Great manager made sure our coupon was right

Food is great! Had the Cajun spiced rib eye. Great blend of seasoning and the sear and temp was great. Good value for the meal too. Service really needs to step up. Took more than 5 mins before I was even greeted at the door. Not sure where the hostess went, but I was tempted to walk out. I think hostess just needs a lot of training. She kept looking at her phone even as I walked out. Never one word. If service can pick up, I would give 4 stars.

Been coming here since middle school(am now a nearly 23 year old man). Family has always loved it, esp the father, who just absolutely love their steak. So this is kinda the go-to place for our family if we ever wanted something Texan. I like this place, it’s got a dim ambiance, although it can be a bit too dark at times. The wait times are also not very merciful, which can be around 40 min on a busy night(ie. friday night). Waiters/waitresses are usually pretty nice, and they try to keep touch with you after giving you your food. My dad’s «favorite dish» here is their«Famous Smoked Sirloin» cooked at medium rare. It’s a size-able piece of meat, although you can choose how large you want it(9 or 12oz, if you want to pay a little extra). It comes with a small bit of mashed potatoes(or other sides). The meat is usually decent, but sometimes it can be cooked unevenly. Our last visit found the meat WAYYYY too pink to be medium-rare. My father is not a super picky guy about the meat, but personally I would have liked it more cooked. One of their off days I guess. I ordered the baby back ribs, half rack. It was pretty good for 16 bucks. If you like ribs, you will probably like this. It was very tastey(I am salivating a little just thinking about it), but not much meat. I thought the flavor was also a bit too strong. I would still recommend it if you like ribs. In all, you will have a good time at TLC. The service is decent and food is pretty nice as well. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but if you are coming to eat here, hopefully you are prepared!

My last experience at a TL&C was subpar. Fortunately, my experience at this location is better. I was concerned about the service when I was seated at a booth in the bar area. When I walked in, I saw the special which was the Cabernet Filet. I knew what I wanted to eat tonight. In addition to the preselected Parmesan potatoes, I got the creamed sweet corn as my sides. After I gave my order, the waitress told me she was going to get bread for the table. My initial hopes of exceptional service was dashed at the end. Although I had made room for dessert, I wasn’t given the option. The waitress placed the bill on my tablet without asking if I wanted any else. TL&C Visits: 2 Desserts at TL&C: 0

Food is GREAT! Waitstaff was slow and inattentive. We split a few appetizers. I wasn’t impressed with the onion rings– no flavor. I had the sirloin and shrimp combo with asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Overall the food was great but the service was terrible. I waited 15 minutes for a water refill at one point. We could never find our waiter when we needed him.

When in Texas do(EAT) what Texans eat and that’s STEAK. Some friends and I ate at TL&C since I was in town and wanted beef. I ordered the Famous House Smoked Sirloin since its TL&C’s signature steak for over 20 years. Went with the 18oz as I had a huge appetite. The sirloin was well seasoned, juicy with a nice smoked flavor! Would I eat it again? Oh hell yeah ! If anything, I wish TL&C would not pre-cut the meat prior to delivering to the table. I would’ve enjoyed the sirloin even more by taking the time to cut it, stab it, and then devour it in my mouth !

The family and I had a great experience at Texas Land & Cattle last month! A million percent better than our experience at the uptown location. We went in around 6pm on a Friday night and were seated right away. The atmosphere is very inviting, and we were seated right in front of the fireplace. Our server Josh was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! Everything was super tasty. We had a coupon that we had mentioned to Josh upon seating and he remembered it and applied it to the bill without us even having to remind him. Oh. and I recommend the Texas Paloma martini, it’s a blood orange martini, strong and delicious! Highly recommend this location!

The hubs and I frequent this as they serve a decent steak and fill you up between lots of war, fresh loaves of bread and the generous portions of the entrees and sides. We learned the hard way that we do not need to order an app(although I have ordered an app as my meal before). I live the wedge salad and he loves the Caesar. Their jalapeño poppers are delicious which I just discovered. The steaks are good and have always been cooked as requested. If you go during their special«two for» menu, you get a app to share(I love the queso blanco with steak) an entrée each with salad and sides. It’s a great deal Nd I always keep an eye out for it. Service is slightly better than an Applebee’s or chilis but nothing like a high end steakhouse like Bob’s.
