IHOP

This IHOP isn’t really a good choice for a sit down place there really slow and don’t come to ask if everything’s fine very disappointed in this IHOP because I’m always up for IHOP But I got a sweet tea and it wasn’t even sweet and they forgot my silverware there pancakes were very foamy and almost under cooked One of the workers came out and acted like she didn’t know what she was doing and stood at our table for a minute I was thinking «Lady give us our food» There was one part good about this place was one worker I highly recommend him his names Don he came over to help us when our server went some where he was a great highly recommended

Service has improved a million percent! They have turned things around and I will start coming back more often.

Here’s one for the books. Ate there the first time not long after they opened and while it was good it wasn’t great. Word has gotten out that you can no longer be waited on because they can’t get people to work. My wife and I went to try it again last week and after standing by the cash register for almost ten minutes with no one sitting in the whole place and no one coming out to sit us, we just turned around and left. Had a great meal as always at Cracker Barrel across the street. Doubt we’ll ever bother going back.

Terrible service. Not busy but they couldn’t bring menus and we sat for 15 minutes while several waiters passed our table. Never came to acknowledge our table or take drink orders.

Just came home from this AWFUL place. Saturday night and only one cook… We had a party of eight and our waitress was one of «Front Royals classy residents.» She didn’t seem to pleased to serve our party. We all weren’t impressed with her.
So now the food. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. It came out just awful. It was like trying to eat a rubber dog toy. The broccoli was way over cooked. The only thing I felt safe to eat on my plate was the toast.
Our party had 4 children and 4 adults. All of the adults said they weren’t happy with what they ordered. Now we all know and won’t be back.
Don’t waste your time or money on this place. The service is bad and the food is awful!

Note from a local. This place has been here for a while. But a few people seem to be a lot for them! Came in early Sunday, but the kitchen is very slow. Waiter was good, not his fault. But when you’re with children waiting for their breakfast, good luck! Next time it’s the Cracker Barrel for us!

I went back to this particular IHOP again with my mom and son. We were pleased with both the food and the service. The new cherry lemonade was really tasty. My son ate more sausage this time, so it must have been better. Still annoyed about their pointless children’s menu policy, but we had a pleasant experience so I’m adding a star.

Worst Ihop ever! Terrible service, horrible food, and a long wait for absolutely no reason. I don’t expect a lot from these types of restaurants but they couldn’t even meet the lowest expectations. Make the trip to Winchester if you’re craving Ihop or go across the street to Cracker Barrel.

55 min for a crappy meal. The grits came out after I asked for the check. Waitress was surprised I asked her to take them off of the check I remembered why we hadn’t been there in 10 years.

Stopped in for dinner on a fluke. Imagine our surprise when the learned that IHOP has senior night every Wednesday from 1500 – 2100. Half price off the entire guest check, not just the senior!
I had the Colorado omelet (10.79) — made with bacon, sausage and 2 other types of meat. It was huge and very filling. It come with your choice of hash browns, toast, fruit or 3 pancakes. I ordered the harvest grain pancakes. They’re always good and filling. However, they fall apart quickly and easily. Lifting the top one to put a swath of butter under it caused it to crumble. Regardless — soak them in old fashioned or butter pecan syrup and you’re good to go. I ended up leaving half my pancakes and taking half my omelet home in a doggy bag.
The Mrs had the «pan combo» (8.69) — 2 eggs, choice of 2 bacon or sausage, hash browns, and 2 harvest grain pancakes. She couldn’t finish hers — just too much food. (-:
The only less than stellar part of the meal was that her side order of toast took forever to get there. Finally told the server to cancel.
All in all — a very tasty meal for a reasonable price, even before the 50% off.
Tonight’s bill came to 12.60.
So — grab an old fart and take them to dinner on Wednesday night!

This is the first time I had dined in an IHOP in at least 15 years. I was hungry, it was late at night/​early morning, and I had nothing I wanted in the fridge. Being that the IHOP was open 24 – 7 and I had insomnia, I figured what the heck. I was not impressed. This location had only been open 3 weeks, and it seemed like the help was already tired of working there. Long wait at the front to be seated while employees walked back and forth without greeting guests.
The waitress left more to be desired. While not specifically bad, she definitely was not good. My biggest complaint was her lack of positivity. I understand. It’s late. But just pretend you want to be here.
I didn’t like the sausage. I don’t think the meat was very good quality to begin with, and it had been overcooked. The pancakes were so-​so. Across the street at Cracker Barrel the pancakes are infinitely better. Prices are the same or less at Cracker Barrel. IHOP did have a nice butter pecan syrup, but it couldn’t cover up the fact that the pancakes were simply okay. Eggs were typical greasy spoon. Conversational cursing coming from the kitchen, accompanied by the frequent use of the word «skank» could be heard in the dining room.
Food was 2 stars, service was 1 star. I like that there is somewhere to dine-​in 24 – 7 in Front Royal, so I will probably go back some sleepless night, but during the day I will always choose Cracker Barrel for a superior breakfast.
