When making yearly visits to family in the DC area, Ledo Pizza is a must-stop on the way back home. Conveniently located off I66(just before I81), this location provides the same quality as the others I’ve tried in the DC/MD area. Ledo pizza is a square pizza, but not like the square pizza you remembered from the cafeteria in elementary school. It’s baked upon a very thin, flaky crust. We always get just cheese, but I’ve tried some others they offer. I really like their white pizza but found the pepperoni pizza overly greasy. The sauce is slightly sweet, so I always heap on the crushed red pepper to give it some spice to counteract the sweetness. We are big pizza fans in my family and I have found no other chain that provides the consistent quality, great taste and uniqueness as Ledo.

I am not familiar with this chain but decided to stop here for lunch on my first trip to Front Royal. I ordered the white pizza and added chicken as a topping and a side house salad. The food was fresh and tasty. I would return.

This is a good safe choice for a family night out. The food is what you would expect from a chain eatery. I’ve always had pretty good service and have never gotten a bad meal here. Basically good hot food dine in or take out. Kid friendly environment a plus.

This place is amazing. I ordered a chicken calzone… the best I’ve ever had. I came when they were busy, so it took a while for my food to come out but it was worth the wait. The sauce is amazing and food was plentiful. If I could give it more stars, I would.

Pizza should never be cut into squares. This is for savages who eat their pizza à LA Bill DeBlasio — that is to say, with a fork. Savages! Ledo doesn’t taste bad, but it is a bit crispy for my usual taste. Every now and then I get a hankering for it, because they have very nice, fresh toppings, the aauce has an extra zing of spice, and it is out of the ordinary. But there is a reason NY is famous for its slices of pizza, and MD is not known for its squares of imitation pizza product. Reviews mentioning too much grease are spot on. Usually the cardboard beneath is stained(STAINED!) with absorbed grease. Of course, many will object all pizza is greasy. Yes, that is why you fold it in half like a civilized human being, and let the fold channel out the undesirable oil. Ledo has an okay taste, but the crust is too crispy, and all that oil will make you feel nasty.

This place was horrible. My fiancé and I came in tonight to grab a quick, tasty bite to eat after a long day out and about. Unfortunately, the relaxing meal we wanted did not happen. The place was nearly dead, one older couple was there besides us. The waitress was patient with the time it took for us to decide. Came in wanting a calzone but was disappointed with the lack of options. We ended up splitting a pizza. Pizza is pizza right? It’s hard to screw up pizza, right? I stupidly thought that. I’m really not that picky about pizza, I’ll eat pretty much any other pizza in town. I ordered pepperoni, tomato, and extra cheese. I know we ordered extra cheese, but this was absurd. Hardly any pepp or tomato, very little amounts since we paid a lot per topping. And the grease! My jaw dropped when I saw it. It was vile, I finally gave up trying to blot it. The only good thing I ate there were the breadsticks, which were absolutely delicious. Wish I had ordered only that. The breadsticks are literally the only thing saving them from getting one star. Now the service, not the absolute worst I’ve had, but no where near best. I’ve honestly had better service at Taco Bell and Papa Johns for god sakes. Never learned the waitress’s name, never had a smile. She seemed very timid about the fact that I clearly hated the pizza and outright told her so(not in a rude manner, just honest). Didn’t seem to know how to handle complaints. We left almost right after the pizza was delivered. Took the pizza home to feed to our dogs. She didn’t offer to discount our check, which I was sort of surprised at. We ended up leaving and going down the road to Subway, which is always delicious and honestly gives us better service. Don’t waste your time here, seriously, go to the Melting Pot or Papa Johns. Or, better yet, go to the Lucky Star and order one of their pizzas.

pizza just swimming with grease. Grease soaked thru crust so the entire bottom was grease soaked it was like eating raw dough. Grease in puddles on top of pizza. We sat there and used about 6 paper napkins trying to get some of the grease off.

I love this place. It has good hot food, friendly employees and it saves me a trip from going to Richmond, VA which used to be the closest Ledo Pizza around!!!

I really like Ledo. I’m giving 3 stars based on service of 1÷29÷12. I know Ledo Pizza well. Friends of mine went to U of M and would bring some back and we’d eat on campus. Later in life, I worked for a Ledo for a few months. I have eaten at this location several times, both in the restaurant and carry out orders. This past Sunday, we went in for lunch. We selected a table near the back and sat down. Silverware was already on the table and the server came by promptly. After we did place our order, I feel like we were forgotten. As far as I could see, there were only two servers and the servers were also running the front counter. The restaurant was quickly filling up with dine-in customers. We had ordered an appetizer(breadsticks and Ledo sauce). I had to get up and go ask the server about our appetizer and she said that it would be out in a moment. The sauce was cold. Well, it was’t ** COLD **, but it wasn’t even room temperature. It could have been heated up. Also, the server did not clear our used plates right away, even after bringing our order to the table. I’ll go back again, but the Front Royal Ledo needs to improve, especially for the dine-in experience.

Was in this weekend with a group and everyone enjoyed the food. We ordered several orders of Garlic Bread which were very good and several types of pizza. Two large Meat Lovers, one large Ham/Pineapple and one large Sweet/Spicy. All were very popular with the Sweet/Spicy being the least favorite. The service was very good as well. Will definitely be back. I went back recently and left very disappointed. The service was terrible and the food worse. I got the hot wings and these were likely the worse I’ve ever had. Very soggy and no crispiness at all. I’m not sure why the service was so bad this day but it’s likely turned me off to the place.

It’s interesting that a Ledo franchise should open in Front Royal, since their pizza is so much like that at the The Melting Pot, a «Fro Ro» staple. It’s rectangular, thin crust pizza with a variety of fresh toppings. We’ve been here half a dozen times or so and we’ve always gotten the Ledo Deluxe pizza, and it’s consistently good. The Deluxe is absolutely smothered with all kinds of classic pizza toppings. Other perennial favorites are the calamari appetizer, and the fried ravioli appetizer.

Ledo has pizza, subs, and a smattering of pasta. The pizza has a thin crust and zesty tomato sauce. They have a variety of toppings available. The pepperoni is somewhat spicy, but I do not recommend the sausage as it is always damp and blanched. They do offer chorizo as a topping, which is tasty unto itself, but does not seem to mesh well with the pizza or pasta. The pasta has a slightly thin sauce, but does come with a good portion of meat or vegetables, your choice. The subs range from good to excellent; it varies enough that it may depend on the chef. The last time we went, the bread was perfect. Tender, slightly crisp outside, fluffy. I like the turkey club, or steak and cheese. Hubby likes the chicken parmesan. Fries can be ordered, but at an additional cost. I do note that the fried raviolis are a good appetizer, slightly zesty as well. The desserts also look delicious when they float past, but I have yet to order one. The service can be lacking. Some of the regular waitresses take too many smoke breaks. They stand at the door in the back of the restaurant and prop it open while they get their fix. During the course of one meal, our waitress took four smoke breaks. It seems that they lack focus and management, and it is also unpleasant for the waitress to leave a pungent trail as she gads about. Overall, Ledo provides generally good — sometimes very good — food, and sub-par service.
