The definition of a greasy spoon. Two friends and I popped by for late breakfast on our way home from WV. All the other diners appeared to be locals… I personally love that vibe. The food is not flashy nor pretentious. It’s your regular buns-from-bags and greasy-fries-with-fake-cheese-sauce fare. I wouldn’t recommend eating it often, but every once in a while is acceptable. The waitress was very nice and we had a good experience. Lots of interesting and mismatched art on the walls. Looks like the sort of place that serves as a sitcom/small town drama movie set.

Wynn’s Restaurant is a cute little country diner set on Main Street in downtown Front Royal. They serve egg platters, omelets, hot cakes, waffles, muffins, bagels, salads, hot/cold sandwiches & subs, dinner entrees, kid options, and desserts(such as homemade pies). The hubs and I came here for a quick breakfast, and we were able to choose any of the booths to sit. I tried their Hot Cakes with a choice of meat(I opted for bacon); these hot cakes were large, came as 2, and was nice and fluffy; little tiny tubs of Country Crock butter came with as well as a bottle of syrup. The bacon, while cooked perfectly, had a slight taste of old oil. The hubs had 2 Eggs Any Style with Corn Beef Hash; it was interesting to see the eggs and the corn beef hash being shaped(I think they may use a cookie cutter(?)) — this also came with a side of homefries(nice and crispy) and a choice of buttered toast. Service was super friendly and sweet, and this place seemed to be favorite of the locals. I’d love to come back and try out some of their dinner options, such as the Wing Dings, Tater Crust(White Fish), and the Chuckwagon Steak. +crispy homefries +Hot Cakes +friendly service: D

Super delicious. Was trying to go to soul mountain after a weekend camping trip but it ended up being to early so took a suggestion from a local on the street and did not regret it! Nice, comprehensive breakfast menu. Had the corn beef hash breakfast with home fries. HOMEFRIESWEREAWESOME. Not your typical cubed ones but slices instead. Wonderful. Service was great and the restaurant was very clean. A lot of diners similar to this one aren’t so clean. Will def come back here!

Excellent daily specials about $ 5.50. Delicious hot food. This place gets 5 stars for a small town dinner. Good food for a very reasonable price in a clean place.

Time to jump into the«wayback machine» and enjoy a real honest-to-goodness diner fresh from the 1960s. This is not some knock off or recreation: this is the real McCoy. The food is diner-esque as were the booths, chairs and floors. If you want an authentic experience of a dying American diner: come here, eat and enjoy.
