This is an easy on/easy off rest stop. It is always staffed with friendly and knowledgeable people. The restrooms are clean and plentiful. And, as is always the case at welcome centers, there are plenty of brochures to pick up. The staff has organized the brochures and menus in a logical fashion but if you have any problems finding things, they are eager to help and recommend! There is a little room with dinosaur information and nice little tables that the kids can enjoy. There is also a spacious grassy area with picnic tables and some shaded areas to relax/run off excess energy. A nice little pet walk area is provided as well.

You really should stop here! The welcome center sits in the middle of a beautiful green park with well manicured lawn and mature shade trees. There are multiple picnic tables and sitting spots as well as informative signs. The area is spotless! Inside there are friendly and knowledgable star who can recommend sights and routes to visitors. There are brochures available for all of Colorado. They also have free coffee and very clean bathrooms. It is easy on, easy off from I-70 just west of Grand Junction in Fruita.

If you need a rest while entering or leaving Colorado, the Colorado Welcome Center in Fruita is one of the best. Not only does it have your normal facilities(which are spotlessly clean), there is a museum and gift shop for those last minute Colorado gifts. The service is friendly and the coffee free. What more do you need?
