I have known the owner for many years. He is truly a man of integrity. My family will ONLY call Emerg+NC for any damage repairs needed.

BBB wrote to me today that they have no enforcement authority but only offer a mediation forum. Judging by the company’s response to my BBB complaint: threatening action against me for ‘slander,’ Emerg+NC does not appear to be willing to enter into mediation. My complaint and review cannot have had such a deleterious effect given prior reviews of the company. As one example, a customer review on Angies’s List of a $ 31K job undertaken by Emerg+NC was posted well before mine and gave the company an «overall D» rating. Review sites like Angies List, Google and Unilocal were created expressly as a public forum to air opinion and report on personal experiences in an effort to inform consumers; those sites clear reviews before posting them to ensure they are not defamatory. Threats of lawsuits against reviewers should have no place in this marketplace.

They were at my house in under an hour and cleaned up and repaired my house after a huge flood when a contractor put a nail in my water pipe! These guys are GREAT!

Emerg+NC came out to take a look at our leak the within an hour of me calling them. Our handyman had given them our number after we asked about a leak in one of our bathrooms. Their service and professionalism was exemplary and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Hiring EMERGNC was an expensive mistake. We had water damage in January and the mitigation was fine, but the restoration process was a complete nightmare. We were actually told at least twice that our job(over $ 30,000) was«small» and«nothing» and they had bigger, more expensive projects to focus on. They lied about charges that ended up in the final bill. During our initial consult, the contractor did not document any of our plans, which caused miscommunication and unsatisfactory work. The workers damaged our hardwood floors with their equipment and our appliances while in storage. They originally quoted us 3 – 5 weeks to completion, but it instead took them over 3 months and the job still is not done, as they abandoned the project after a series of problems that were a direct result of the contractor and subcontractor measuring incorrectly and purchasing inadequate materials. There were multiple times we would schedule a meeting with the contractor or subcontractor at our home and they would not show or came hours late with no notice until I contacted them. We are paying another contractor a significant amount to repair and complete what they were either unable or unwilling to do, yet we were charged the full amount for their services. The contractors we have recently met with for repairs have even remarked about the poor workmanship. The president seems to care about profit over quality and customer service. We tried to contact him multiple times with our concerns throughout this process, but were met with condescension and an unprofessional attitude. Fortunately, I maintained documentation and have filed complaints with all relevant agencies. I’m looking forward to sharing our experience wherever I can to prevent others from losing hard-earned money with this company.
