The smoothies seem to contain quality ingredients. I wish that they would fully blend them. I’ve gone about 10 times and each time there were large(and small) chunks of ice throughout. Very crunchy. Otherwise, the thickness/consistency is good.

I would give this place 5 stars; however the management at this 3 natives horrible in comparison to the one in Tequesta. It seems as if they’re always out of something, and I don’t even know if they’re selling cold pressed juices yet. Their acai bowls are loved by many, however I personally do not like their smoothies, for they have a weird texture, and they are overpriced. 3 Natives is a good place to eat, however I would prefer to go to the one in Tequesta ANYDAY.

Easily one of my favorite dessert places to go. Nice little shop next to Karma cream that opened up a monthish ago. Have gotten different bowls the last couple of days and still not sick of it. The acai and fruits are plenty fresh and bowls are made to order. Price is a bit steep at a little over $ 8 for a bowl but for health benefits, you can’t go wrong with these super fruit acai bowls.

The smoothies are good but not the greatest. Pretty over priced for what it was. the Acai bowl was super sweet. too much sugar, didn’t exactly feel healthy eating it. They also took a super long time to make everything. But great juice selection and close to campus.

Delicious acai bowls! They don’t skimp on the toppings and the staff is always friendly. The inside has a beach theme and the décor is really cute.

When I heard that Gainesville was finally getting an acai bowl place, I was extremely elated. 3 Natives is located right on West University Ave, a few doors down from Karma Cream. It is best to come on foot since parking is limited to only an hour at a rate of $ 0.50 per hour. Make sure to bring coins! I came here on a rainy afternoon with friends to study. Upon arrival, I was impressed by what they had done to the place. They took the original Bella Donna layout and made it theirs, by giving it a beachy feel. The couches and furniture really made it feel like home. The muted blues really gave it a relaxed feel. I ordered the Birdy bowl. It had pineapple, kiwi, banana, strawberry, granola, McCoy’s honey, shaved coconut, and peanut butter in it. It seemed amazing to me since I had never tried a bowl with peanut butter in it before, so it was all for the gains. When my bowl came out, I was a little disappointed. At $ 8 a bowl, this thing was pretty small. It was tasty, but the acai itself was a little too thick. I had to wait a while for it to melt for me to thoroughly enjoy it. The bowl size was also a problem because it made it a lot harder to eat. I would suggest maybe a wider bowl. That would give them more space for presentation and it would be a lot easier to eat. Studying there was pretty nice. There were many outlets all around the smoothie shop. The wifi was pretty fast, so it was easy to be productive. They had really cute music. When we came, there was strange country music playing, but as time progressed, they began to play oldies from the 90’s and early 2000’s. It was a nice trip down memory lane. It was annoying to have to go out to my car to pay for parking every hour, but hey it got me a little bit of exercise right? I will definitely come back, but to try their cold brew. I will walk next time to avoid the meter parking as well. If you’ve never had an acai bowl and would like to try, I recommend it! It is a nice option for a healthy«treat yoself.»

When I found out that an acai bowl place opened in Gainesville, I was so excited because if you know me, you know that I am an acai aficionado. It is right on University, walking distance from campus, but make sure to bring change for street parking if you drive there. I had the chronic bowl: acai topped with kiwi, banana, strawberry, pineapple, Mccoy’s honey, and coconut shavings. The fruit was very fresh and it was sooo good and refreshing, although I do think that for the price($ 8.25) the portion was a little small. I’ve been to other juice places where I’ve paid the same amount for a bigger bowl. They also have smoothies and wraps, which all sounds really yummy. There is wifi, plenty of outlets, and really comfy couches, which makes this a perfect place for studying or just relaxing while eating and taking in the surfy beachy vibes. Overall, a yummy and refreshing place, but definitely pricey.

I’m not going to give up on 3 Natives yet as I haven’t tried their smoothies and they may be awesome but I was pretty disappointed with the acai bowl. In my experience, the acai in an acai bowl shouldn’t be a hard, frozen layer at the bottom of the bowl. It just did not stack up to other acai bowls I have had. The fruit on the bowl was good though. I won’t be spending 8 dollars on it again. I did love the comfy couches though. I will update after I try the smoothies.

Way entirely too over priced for a very small amount and for the taste to be mediocre. Very disappointed. I ordered the Chuck Norris protein smoothie and you can go to Smootie King or Planet Smoothie and get four times as much for less the price. It’s not even that good

Food: I got a black bean hummus wrap and it was great. Garlicky, a little spicy, very fresh. I got a blue sky soda to go with it, and blue sky is always solid. A good little treat to go with healthy food. Environment: exclusive. Not a place most guys would go in alone. It’s cute but a bit too girly. Not enough good eating surfaces if you get real food. There was only a table on one side of the couch. The shelf tables were small, and the chairs were too high for the real tables. I saw a girl trip over the stairs and the manger Sid he does it too. Very sorority feel. Didn’t dig it personally. But it’s cute. Staff: here’s where my review gets choppy. Everyone was sweet but looked miserable. The girl behind the counter looked severely overwhelmed, and had to take an order then run a food item. Made the line slow. Her manager criticized her openly, in front of customers. Which is the worst, totally not something you should ever do. The only person who even spoke in the back was the manager and everyone looked plain miserable. Also I saw no tip jar? And even though everyone was working hard, both me and my friend got the wrong bread. Not a super big deal, I didn’t say anything. But maybe if the employees weren’t having such a hard time, they could have taken care of it. Tips: criticizing your employees in front of customers is a total no-no. Looks worse on management than it does on staff. A system where someone calls out orders would be more efficient here. Cashiers shouldn’t have to leave their station to serve someone a single dish. I can pick up my disposable container at the bar.

This place is amazing! I always thought that Gainesville needed a fresh raw juice and acai bowl bar, this is the perfect fit. I have gone about 4 times since it opened and am never disappointed. My first time, I took the plunge with the strawberry, banana and peanut butter smoothie. It was delicious except a little chunky and the straw was made of paper which made it slightly difficult to drink as it got soggy. However, it was opening week so I assume they were working out some kinks. Since then, I have consistently gotten The Local bowl, light on the honey and add peanut butter. It’s AMAZING. The perfect blend of sweet, salty, creamy and crunchy. The peanut butter added to it is a necessity in my opinion, it makes my bowl. Overall, I think I’ll be coming to this trendy spot many times up until I graduate in May.

3 Natives is a new juice bar specializing in acai/granola bowls and smoothies which went in across from Bank of America on University. They are based out of Jupiter and just opened up for business here. I for one am elated to see a business offering bowls like this in Gainesville because they are something I really miss from California. While their quality is high, their speed of creating and serving the bowls is a bit slow, really, and it seems they are still learning a lot about running this location; in addition, their corporate website doesn’t yet list the new Gainesville location so it just seems like their organization is lagging a touch. That all said, the staff is friendly and the bowls, at less the one I had which is called the chronic, was outstanding. The fruit used is super fresh and exceptionally tasty. The only downside really is they ideally could be even closer to campus, parking is difficult, and their hours are meager, closing around 6pm. Let’s be real, their general competition will be Karma Cream which is open way late. But as to the content of their bowls, the quality is certainly there.
