Dinner on Saturday night was the second chance we gave this restaurant. The first one was already disappointing but it is, obviously, getting worse. The waitress was probably new but she was not attentive or smart. Never brought us dinner rolls, which made us wonder if they’d got rid of bread/rolls, until we saw her bringing rolls to the next table when we were about to pay our bill. I ordered Arnold Palmer and the drink turned out to be not right in color or taste. When I asked our waitress, she disclosed that they went out of sweet tea — so instead of informing me and asking if I would like something else, they churned out something that tasted horrible. I rejected the drink but later found she charged us nevertheless. I had to asked her to take it off. For an Italian restaurant, their pasta was terrible — watery, overcooked and mushy. They probably never change or refresh the water because one could tell pasta was cooked in very starchy water. Veggies in salads were not fresh at all — all lumped together with some terrible dressing on top. For a $ 17 Jambalaya pasta, there’s hardly any sausage. The main ingredient other than the overcooked starchy pasta, I am sorry to say, was coarsely sliced peppers and onion. Given the horrible quality of food and service, I don’t think we’d ever go back to this place.

I took my wife and baby for an early dinner ~4pm to avoid any crowds and that worked. Service was good. Probably helps that there were only a couple other tables full. All in all the food was good. We did one of those 3 courses for 20 $. I had the Caesar salad which was better than any around. Great Parmesan shavings. The chicken Picasso was hot and tasty and then the browny sundae was awesome.

Honestly not bad for a quick bite for lunch or dinner. Better than Olive Garden for sure. Lunch specials 7 days per week is great. Coke products also a plus.

When I went to this restaurant, the sheer amount of joy in the staffs face, and the environment was so delightful, it made me throw up. I went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Thanks a lot Bertuccis

This was a nice find! I had a craving for pasta and We stopped here since it was close to our new apartment. I’m vegan so I really liked the spaghetti with their red sauce. It was fantastic and their bread was amazing and warm. Our server was attentive but not interruptive. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. Decent prices and great food!

We had two salads and they were basically tasteless. The ingredients did not seem fresh and the bacon had no flavor at all. My husband ordered a glass of Chardonnay and had to turn it back because it had no flavor. However my son did love the brick oven chocolate chip cookie. I agree that it’s expensive for what you get. But we had a pretty good service and my son enjoyed his white pizza.

Expensive, but worth it. First of all, the roles they serve you are AMAZING. I always take extra home and microwave them– they taste fresh out of the oven every time. I usually get their spaghetti, can never finish it, and get another meal out of it. So it’s expensive, but not too bad considering you get more than one meal out of it.

I cannot post a negative score. If I could I would… Having tried again and again to understand how a national franchise that advertises delivery service ONLYDOESSOWHENTHEYFEELLIKEIT!!! The food is actual fine. But this has to be one of the most mis-managed franchises in the area. Rudeness of the staff aside, I really wonder how this place stays open. I have never written a really negative review before and I do hope the owners see this. If you cannot staff for delivery orders then just stop offering delivery service!

Either most of the reviews here are untrue, or we are one of the lucky few: regardless, this place was very nice for my family and I last night. We ordered Chicken Domani and Chicken Parma and both turned out magnificently. Not only were they very tasty but the serving portion was twice that we could usually eat, so we took home leftovers for another full meal. We had no problems here whatsoever: service was(abnormally) fast(compared to other sit down places) and the servers were very generous. My only complaint/suggestion is that, if you want a refill on your drink you will have to ask: our waiters never noticed when the glass was empty so you had to occasionally wave one down. Overall, still gets a 5⁄5 stars in our family’s book.

The worst food I’ve attempted to eat in a long long time. Fettuccine Alfredo = hard(not al dente, HARD) noodles with boiled milk. Literally had zero seasoning or cheese or anything, not even creamy, just hard noodles and boiled milk. Waiter was barely around, left us with empty drinks constantly. Friend ordered the soup and said it was awful and another friend ordered a «very well done» steak that came out significantly pink in the middle. Will never eat here again.

Horrible experience! My family did not feel welcome here! The staff were unfriendly and seemed uninterested. Part of the enjoyment of eating out is to interact with a good and friendly staff. We did not get this here. We waited awhile before someone took our order, even though the place did not look busy. Our food came out eventually, after a long wait. We were thinking of leaving. The food was not good. I am not exaggerating when I say I would rather eat frozen pizza. At least the price is cheaper and the taste is better. I will not be going back here again.

Good rolls. Bad everything else. Found a bone fragment in the chicken. Yum. There aren’t a lot of Italian places in Gainesville and most are terrible. I recommend Tony’s New York Pizza in haymarket. If you want to sit down to a waiter etc just go to Olive Garden or whatever. Blegh

Burnt the mozzarella appetizers, my husbands mashed potatoes were the worst, it was cold and tasted like gritty flakes. Broccoli wasn’t fully cooked. My lasagna came out boiling hot, with no warning whatsoever. The service was fine and the staff was genuinely friendly. Our complaint is about the food as that is why we went in the first place and were sorely let down. My husband boxed the food for the dogs so at least someone would enjoy it. Rather expensive dog treats. The steak was good not great. The dinner rolls were the only really good thing. We don’t plan on eating there ever again.

I had to put a star to write a review, otherwise id put a quarter or no star at all. This place sucks! It takes a lot to and have to work hard mess alfedo sauce. Dont waste your money and get your food at Wegmans instead.

We’ve been coming here once a month or so for takeout and we’re done. They charge way too much for the subpar quality food they are turning out. Two large pizzas and two appetizers ends up at about $ 60 and you just feel ripped off when you get it. The pizza is always undercooked, even when we ask for it crispy. The basil included with the Margherita is always wilted and old looking and the Margherita itself barely has any cheese on it. At $ 18 for a large what you get is ridiculous. The same $ 18 for a large pepperoni pizza with barely any pepperoni is also cheap. Meh, we just feel like we’re throwing out money away.

We had Sunday dinner at the gainsville location since it’s so close to our home but unfortunately it will be our last visit to Bertucci. The restaurant was not busy at all but the service was terrible. Everything from the water to the bread, and main dishes took forever. The worst part of it all was how terrible the food was. We ordered the shrimp scampi and the Jambalaya pasta and both were watery, the shrimp was boiled and tasted terrible. Upon informing the manager of our discontent, he had a bad attitude and tried to convince us that the sauce is supposed to be watery. All in all it was a bad experience that cost us over $ 50 for a two adult and no alcohol dinner. IFYOUAREINTHEMOODFOR A QUICKITALIANDINNERJUSTPICKUP A FROZENLASAGNAANDGOHOME!

I don’t normally choose Italian but The food was great. The server we got was really nice and courteous too. They offer you complimentary bread and olive oil. The artichoke dip was yummy and the Pizzas are ginormous and delicious. We had no idea and ordered three of the large pizzas. Way too much for 6 adults. Let’s just say we had to box it all at the end. This place is great! Especially if you love bread and doughy stuff. Lol.

Stopped here tonight because the website had a $ 5 off coupon. I ordered a small bbq chicken pizza on multigrain crust to go. The crust was dry and tasted like cardboard and there was hardly any cheese on the pizza. The bbq sauce and caramelized onions were good. The people working at the restaurant seemed in experienced and unorganized. For $ 6.50 with tax after the coupon it wasn’t bad but definitely wouldn’t have been worth full price. Pizzas at Unos and vocelli are better. In fact is only rate the pizza better than papa johns which has horrible pizza.

This is BYFAR the best Bertucci’s I’ve been too. Our server, Chelsea, was excellent! She was friendly, polite, was proactive on drink refills, and just overall awesome. The food was very good and the restaurant was very clean. This is one of the few Bertucci’s I will be returning to.
