This place is another home. I love this coffee shop. View of cruise channel is awesome. Staff is extremely friendly. Once I forgot my wallet in car and realized after buying coffe, sales person with a smile told me. «this one is on us». Parking could be an issue on weekends.

This location is extremely busy due to its proximity to the cruise ships. The staff manages the best they can with the high volume, they work very hard! I just miss the more intimate feeling. I’m here for a week on business, twice a day for coffee, and didn’t get to know anyone. :(

My wife and I were enjoying a getaway to Galveston and love going to Starbucks to relax and read. I had visited this Starbucks on my last trip there. Although we were only there for three days and went five times, the baristas treated us as if we were regulars. They made dark roast for us even when none was made. They even reserved a copy of the Sunday New York Times for us. The view overlooks a pier and the famous Elissa and is a block away from The Strand. It is so relaxing there and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend utilizing this Starbucks when you visit Galveston. The store is clean and inviting. You will not be disappointed!

I commonly come here and usually have a decent experience. This time, I have to give credit to Jessica. She was extremely helpful and outgoing. If there is someone that can bring customers back just by their attitude and work ethic, it would be Jessica. Thank you.

Restaurant ok. Coffee is the usual blends. But the men’s bathroom is a wreck. I’ve seen cleaner Exxon gas station bathrooms. There is puke all over the toilet, seat and floor. Smells of puke. Bathroom should be burned to the ground.

Good location between the Strand and Pier 21. I normally wouldn’t rate Starbucks 5 stars… but the customer service was terrific. The place was crazy busy when we stopped in, but that didn’t affect the customer service. Chris(Strick?) was awesome. He made every customer feel like they were the only one in the store.

When I am in Galveston, Starbucks always seems to become«home base» for our group. Not sure why that is but it is. Maybe because it is a decent public restroom. I like this store very much and the employees are always friendly. The one gripe I have is the layout. The building is long and skinny so you’re often saying«Excuse me» to get around people. Also there is not enough seating for the thriving business that this location does.

Everyone here is so nice! The baristas are friendly and give really helpful suggestions. The place is really clean with good wifi. Just wish they were open later in the evening!

Place is great! I can’t say anything about their efficiency since it was pretty much me and 2 other customers in the entire store since it doesn’t seem like a cruise-liner was in the area. The staff here are super friendly and have great recommendations for what to do in Galveston if you’re new to the area(like me!)

Have come here every day during our vacation here so far. Very pleasant baristas that were funny and got our orders exactly right. 5 stars!

We stayed at the Harbor House which is across the street from Starbucks, we went in the whole time of our stay in Galveston. If every Starbucks was this friendly I would go more, the staff was incredibly nice and the shop was clean clean clean.

This is a great Starbucks! Looking to kill a bit of time before a cruise, need to access the internet before leaving the country? Then this is your place to be and enjoy a great beverage as well. We make it a point to visit every time we are in Galveston!

Baristas were funny and engaging and we went on my 4 y/o’s birthday which he proudly announced. One of the baristas gave both he and my 6 y/o daughter free cake pops. The wifi is great and they offer both outside and indoor seating. Seating is a bit limited. Would definitely recommend.

This starbucks is right in the heart of The Strand’s Historical district in galveston. The building looks huge; however, when you walk inside you are underwhelmed by the limited seating. There’s probably two tables and 4 oversized lounge chairs in a narrow corridor. Also, the staff seems a bit more prone to backups but that may just have been due to the frappuccino happy hour and certain«hard to please» customers causing an issue. The outdoor patio seating is nice, but the only parking is in the $ 8 flat fee parking lot adjacent or further down the street where there is metered parking. I would suggest just waiting to get your starbucks fix elsewhere.

Starbucks locations are hit or miss… I wish there was more consistency in the way they make their product that every location. Both the vanilla Macchiato and the chai tea latte… Did not taste the same and was so sweet we had to throw it away. Unfortunately we could not return to get new ones… Because we were boarding the cruise ship.

So this location is special because of the pier & because it’s Galveston. They don’t stay open very late at all, which was definitely something I didn’t like at first, but the baristas are amazing here! They are always smiling & helpful even though this place gets super packed with people from the cruises that leave the pier. Then the 5 star was earned when someone stole my drink off the counter & they gave me a free drink that day as well as a voucher for a free drink as well! So sweet :)

Starbucks is Starbucks, so this review is not for the quality of coffee.(Incidentally, I think Starbucks over roasts their beans, except for the Blonde Roast.) I visited this establishment for the first time to soak in the Galveston Mardi Gras environment. I’m working all weekend, but thought at least I could be in festive surroundings. I called ahead and the manager, Chris, was delightful. He gave me directions(from Houston) and even met me outside to assist me with parking.(The streets are more crowded than usual due to the holiday.) The location is near the Strand on Harborside Dr., surrounded by historic buildings. There is outside terrace seating for people watching. The WIFI is strong and there are sufficient outlets for working. I brought my headphones, but it was lovely to see(if not hear) the heavily-beaded party’ers while I worked. I prefer independent coffee shops but find that if I need reliable WIFI in a pinch, Starbucks is a safe bet. This location actually has the atmosphere of an independent coffee shop with the reliable WIFI Starbucks provides. Mission accomplished! And shout out to Chris for being so friendly.

Beautiful location, close to water. Ok, beautiful is an exaggeration and I don’t think you can see any water. But I think it’s interesting how it is shaped like a house and you have to take steps to get inside it. Lots of medical students study here.
