This place is really really cute… when they’re open. Had come here two times previously to study and really enjoyed my experience. The third time I arrived I found the place completely empty and closed, despite it being a day and time they stated that they are normally open on their business hours listed on the front. It was not a holiday or anything that they should have been closed. I found this unacceptable and will most likely not return.

Had a really really delicious chai tea latte from here! After a walking a few blocks in the cold, the warm cinnamon-y chai hit the spot!

Cute little coffee shop. The staff is very polite and the service was good. Pretty authentic Italian coffees and treats.

Not bad. The atmosphere is nice. I ordered a cappuccino which was more of a latte with foam, but I find this is a common occurrence in the US. Probably one of the better places in Galveston, but still just average. I hear they are currently switching to new management so this might all change.

Great coffee shop that’s virtually unknown. The hot chocolate is made with both dark and milk chocolate chips that are melted and then steamed milk is added, rich and delicious. A fantastic and ever changing selection of muffins and brownies as well.

UPDATE(June 2013): Since I wrote the review below I have been back a couple of times. They now have some floozy working the counter who is way overly familiar with people and who makes crap for coffee. I don’t know how they stay open, it’s always empty in there. The formerly awesome baked goods suffer from that fridge taste. I guess since the traffic is so low they sit in there a while and soak up the stale air. In any event, stay away. Three stars… went here when MOD was closed for some reason. Very quiet in here. cool looking place, tile floor, leather chairs everywhere. The coffee was good. Asked for espresso and got a very short shot, but tasty. No raw sugar, no bueno. The baked goods looked impressive, so I had the lemon poppyseed muffin. Wow! sticky lemony goodness. Free parking on the street. I think I’ll be back.
