Right as I stepped inside this bar I threw out any high expectations out the window. There’s a dark atmosphere with plenty of seating. Actually, the entire place was empty except for the bar area. I don’t have any problems with dive bars but this one lacks character. I ordered my whiskey then the girl working the bar asked me if I needed a chaser. Politely, I declined because I wasn’t there to get wasted. After asking me two more times she gave me a cup of water. Obviously, that girl didn’t understand the meaning of no. They had no idea what product the bar kept stocked. We asked for very simple drinks that are hard to screw up. Overall, the customer service was the main focus of this review.

Extremely a divey bar and back around the corner is where the entrance was at. My girl friend and I went here after midnight when we were looking for a place that may have a battery phone charger. Left stranded, alone and desperate for some help or shelter, we decided to see what is up with this Club Chung place. We would have not seen this spot if it wasn’t for us walking on that street past midnight and seeing that it was named a club, we decided to check this mellow club out. To our surprise, the inside is unlike the quiet outside. There were glowing lights hung up on the ceiling, karaōke bar and a very friendly Korean bartender, who was attentive to our needs. Let’s just say it was a horrible night for my girl friend and I. This bar helped lift our spirits and comforted us. Their grilled shrimp and bell peppers were simple. I could have diced up those ingredients, peppered it and grilled it myself. However, desperate times being stranded without our phones, calls for not picky times! Service was great.

We just finished our«il cha» and needed a «e e cha» to kill 2 hours before our rendezvous with lil slimey bastards, aka, grunions, and suddenly, visages of Club Chung’s «Open» sign appeared in my peripheral vision. SCOOORE! One may not fully comprehend the gravity of my excitement… The hype for Chung has been building for months as I’ve haunted this place since Feb. This was destined to be super shady, never open(trust me, I’ve tried 3 separate times), kickass Korean bar/club/noraebang/joint like Café HQ… Until we walked in. [x] Nobody here at 8:30pm Saturday. [x] $ 300 «table» minimum [x] $ 50 «bar» minium [x] No «nubile» hostesses for $ 300 We, the only possible customers til … 11pm? ran the hell out. alas, we were doused with unwanted spraying champagne at the eventual second stop so maybe we shoulda stayed? Or not.
