Went here with a coworker yesterday. Was not impressed. Parking: I come to this plaza pretty often knowing that there’s always tons of cars but there’s always parking, even if it’s a bit far. Service: SLOW… It took them 30 minutes to serve us food, even though the rice and curry are premade. You order at the counter and they call out your number type of deal. Not impressed what so ever. Food: Salmon Curry Plate Beef Short Rib Plate Food is cheap, I think each plate was under $ 7.00, but nothing special.

I’m kinda picky when it comes to Japanese curry. A lot of curry places(other than Curry House) have curries that taste like the curries made by House brand that you can buy from supermarkets. Eh. So I was expecting the same from this place. To my surprise, the curry was actually a very dark color… always a good sign. I ordered the medium hot, expecting to be more like mild like most other places. It was actually what I truly would consider«medium». Good start. The curry actually has a little bit of a smokey taste to it… also a good sign. My only complaint is it’s a tiny bit sweet for me. I ordered the chicken katsu plate. The chicken is beautifully fried. Golden brown color, a good indication that they don’t use old oil(or they had just changed the oil, I don’t know). Either way, it was among some of the best chicken katsu I’ve had. Portions are generous. I can easily divide this $ 6.99 plate into 2 meals. Which I probably should. Kudos for them taking the time to nicely arrange the vegetables in my takeout box. Extra kudos for having actual vegetables(zucchinis, carrots, and broccoli). Service is friendly and nice. The restaurant itself can look nicer, but it’s fine for takeout. Nice job, guys.

Tried for the first time. Fried shrimp & Karaage topping. Great value for price. Chose medium hot & it was hot enough for me. I don’t know what kind of spice they are using, but it was goood!!!

Curry was greasy and not very tasty. Guess you get what you pay for.

I’ll try to give this place as much an unbiased review as possible. The venue — You hardly can tell this place is here, there’s a sign out front but nothing on the door that says this is Super Curry the large advertisement on the adjacent looks like an advertisement and nothing else. When you walk in there’s lights that look Ike they’re going to fall off the ceiling, and there is no kind of décor on the walls except a Giant ninja face mural on the wall. The service — the staff is nice, well as nice as college age students from el-camino can be. They do a pretty good job to help you navigate through the difficult ordering process that you have to endure just to place an order for your food. Cute staff doesn’t hurt either. There isn’t much difference between this place and any other fast casual dining places except if your order takes a while, someone brings it to your seat which is nice touch instead of having those pagers like panera. The order process here is strange. There is a menu which I would normally order off of but they have a Create your own curry plate… Stay away from this process… It’s ridiculously stupid. Just take my word for it and order the normal items on the menu. Also if you want my honest opinion, the ninja ramen and the ninja curry fries are a win in my book. Why 3 stars — the environment isn’t very welcoming. The place is lacking décor, there is food out in the front display, but nothing spectacular. The taste of the food isn’t great. But it’s good enough to warrant the price they charge. Two stars from the staff, one for the ninja fries, ninja ramen and grilled beef plate. Stick with the mild or medium curry. As a fan of super spicy food… The hot lacks depth of taste and a well rounded flavor. It’s just hot to be hot. It’s like all they used is cayenne pepper and not include anything else to balance it out.

Ate at this restaurant for lunch with my son. This is a good quick eat spot. It’s clean and service was fast. Stuff was friendly. My son LOVED their chicken curry. He said«this is the best curry I ever ate». Their katsu is huge! Their price($ 6.99) is even better! I ordered shoyu(soy source) ramen(I’m not a curry fan) with shumai side order. I like their shoyu ramen as noodle is good quality and soup is not greasy at all(old yatai ramen style — my favorite). Portion is relatively small, so some people may not feel it’s enough… but it’s only $ 4.99. Can’t complain! They may need to consider offering a larger size ramen. Their toppings or side orders were already cooked and displayed at the counter. But they tasted still fresh when we ate them. For my son’s katsu curry, I was expecting to see a heavy butter with a dry, thin chicken layer kind of katsu for that price(and already being cooked), but the quality of katsu was really good. Shumai was soft and flavorful. One of my friends also said that she loved their curry. She even felt disappointed when she went to Curry House. Curry here is better(and much cheaper!). I would definitely come back here again!

Quick, cheap, the hot is actually semi-hot. Nice and clean inside, friendly staff. Curry itself is kinda meh, the fried fish(kind of taste-free) curry special with shu mai(gross), and the shrimp(the best part, but just ok). Would be nice if it was actually tasty, not just quick and cheap. Heck I’d gladly pay a little more if it was tasty!

Solid, tasty and quick… This is a good utilitarian lunch spot when you want some decent comfort food.

Can I give it zero? Ugh. When we walked in the young girl said in a dead voice, «Uh, this place is kinda uh like Panda Express?! You choose your items and get a free side of uh, curry.» We glanced over to the sneeze guarded countertop with random items such as fried shrimp, beef with onion(looked just like the Yoshinoya Beef Bowl meat), chopped veggies(which by the way looked shriveled up and. for lack of a better word. Nasty). I asked the girl if we get what we see or is our food cooked fresh and her flat response was, «No, you uh get what is here.» ?? Being polite because we were on a double date with my sis in law and her fiancé we decided to stay. The food came out cold(of course, she already warned us that we’d get what was there), and wrong to boot. Everyone who ordered brown rice got white rice and vice versa. So sad, I know this plaza that the restaurant is in(Furaibo/Marie Callendar’s plaza for those of you who know Gardena) and no food places seem to do well here. Even if this place was in a great location, sadly it would/will suffer. One positive was that the Ninja LOGO was pretty cute. But it wasn’t edible.

This place is quick and economical. But don’t be fooled. As a major curry lover its pretty difficult to disappoint my taste buds. But seriously this place will challenge your palettes and more or less, your forgiving nature. Not only is the service inferior, food is stale. A very unhappy eater. Here’s the final point. If you really want to see the super worst curry of your life, check this place out.

First time at this place was overall a good experience. Food was delicious and the prices were even better! I had the Chicken Katsu plate, very well proportioned and yummy. :) And my boyfriend got the Chili Cheese Curry Fries and that was even more amazing! Their Ninja Sauce was really good too! We’ll definitely be coming back. Super Curry was very tidy, clean, & organized. They have a good variety of food to choose from. Super Curry in all, has very good curry with great prices. I couldn’t ask for more!

I’ve had better. spend a few minutes more and go down Artesia for some Curry, or better yet, this curry was thick and not terribly good. Maybe I was turned off by the worker standing behind the register texting/playing games on his iphone. Granted, I came in at 3, which is hardly lunch-rush, but seriously? when a customer is nearby, you do NOT look at your phone. His apathy about my presence told me to deal with his more attentive co-worker at the other register and she politely took my order.

I had the Chicken Katsu Curry. It was very fresh and crispy. The portions are very good for the price and quality. It also came with a small salad and totaled less than $ 8. I will come back to try other menu items.

First time trying this place and I thought it was really good. I picked up for a few people at my office and everyone was really happy with their food. The food is not greasy and the portions are good but not to the point where you’re about to go into food coma. The specials are a good deal also. I got a special that came with ramen, ninja eggs, rice, veggies and a grilled pork for $ 5.99!. I will be a regular here! On the previous review about the ramen noodles being prepared early and then broth dumped onto it, how else would you prepare it? Would you want the noodles sitting in the broth, only to absorb it, get soft and mushy? That’s just plain stupid. And Stop complaining about your special not coming with curry, If the special didn’t say katsu curry then why would you expect it to? Of course you’re going to pay more for something that wasn’t supposed to come with it in the first place… come on now. It’s a business. They’re there to make money not give everything away for free.

Nothing special… Ordered two Saturday Specials(ramen & katsu for $ 6.99, no drink) with my husband. The girl at the counter was pretty clueless about the food. She asked if we wanted medium or hot curry so we asked for one of each. Then, she asked if we wanted Shoyu or Ninja broth for the ramen. Given that it was our first time there, we asked what the Ninja broth was like and she had NO idea. Lame. The ramen was ready first(looks like they just have the noodles prepared early and dump the broth over it) but the katsu wasn’t ready for at least another 5 minutes so our ramen just sat at the counter, getting cold… Overall, it took us about 15 minutes to get our food(we were the ONLY people in the entire restaurant). The katsu came out withOUT curry and at that point, the counter girl told us the Special didn’t come with curry but if we wanted it, it’d be an extra $ 2. Why ask us what kind of curry we want, if it isn’t included??? Anyways, we passed and just used their regular tonkatsu sauce. The katsu plate didn’t come with any dressing for the cabbage salad. Not enough broth for the ramen(didn’t even cover the noodles). Ramen was just warm, not hot. Only good thing was that the katsu was well breaded and crispy. Would not go back considering there are better choices in that plaza.
