Great lunch!
Great atmosphere for lunch. It’s off the business trail so it was nice and quiet. The steak was AMAZING!

Worst TLC ever! I ordered a sirloin medium well and it came out overlooked! They also ran out of sides except broccoli and spinach! Umm what happen to the baked potatoes? So I think I will stick to my side of town when I want a good steak!

I’m wondering if some of the reviews were at a time when the place wasn’t as well run as it was when I visited this last week. The manager was very much on deck and ran an excellent operation. We were seated promptly and they made every effort to go above and beyond. The food was above our expectations. Musician playing out front was very talented. We went twice in a one week period with family from overseas, and everyone in our party of 10 was very happy. I would recommend this place.

Best location I’ve been to. This one has better food and service. Even the kids cheeseburger was really good.

We enjoyed the piano man on the partio (Sunday). Good location but the food and service fell short.

We went at about 5:30−6. It was not busy at all (which is nice after a long day of work and driving). The service was excellent along with the food.
We got an appetizer and 3 meals for my whole family, it was about $ 80. So it is on the pricier side, but if you are looking for great steak, or amazing grilled chicken, don’t hesitate to stop by.
The manager was so friendly and stopped by our table to see how everything was going, everyone who worked there was so kind and friendly.

The restaurant was almost completely empty on a Tuesday at noon, and it still took 40 minutes to get our salads. We had a buy one get one free salad from TangoTab. My Caesar salad was positively swimming in dressing, I couldn’t even eat it it was so drenched. The grilled chicken on top was so fatty/​underdone the texture gagged me. When we mentioned to the waitress that it was inedible, her response was «at least it was free, right?» Not coming back here again

This was a crazy day — Mother’s Day. We ended up at Texas Land & Cattle because Saltgrass Steak House lost power (storm) and our hour wait was already getting pushed back to who knows when. So we went to Tx Land & Cattle, supposed to be 15 minute wait and that started getting on up there in wait time (which we could understand because of the holiday). Still, when we went to check on table and someone told us 2 hours (after the «15 minutes), we talked to the manager and he immediately apologized and corrected the situation and got us seated. The gals were as friendly and helpful as they could be (even though they were frazzled), the food was piping hot and very good, and I continued to see that manager bussing and cleaning tables to help out. Now that’s a good staff. Thanks, guys!

Just ate here today for Mother’s Day and there was no wait yet the place was packed! The salad was amazing and the bread was as well! I ordered the smoked sirloin and it was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and sweet. Will definitely be coming back here! I was surprised to see it was only rated 3.5 stars! Much better than any steakhouse in the area!

Not a fan of this TL&C…bad service, mediocre food at best. The best thing we had was the stuffed jalapeños, once we got them.

I hate to do it, but I have to give TL&C 3 stars… Food usually is pretty good, but the service is all over the place. I constantly see people getting irritated trying to flag someone down, and they’re usually just talking to another server over in the corner.
I’d say the food is 4 stars almost every time, but I’m leaving the 3 stars mainly for the service and price.

Updated review: Twice recently, the service has been utterly terrible. Inattentive & at times just plain rude. Cocktails made with next-​to-​no alcohol, unless ordered directly at the bar. Despite the great deal on truly tasty steak, I won’t be back anytime soon. It’s not worth the nuisance, when I can go just up the road to Salt Grass & be treated well.

Wife and I arrived… parking was full… walked in… saw 3 empty tables right inside the door… maybe 4 other people ahead of us…2 Other couples came after we had been there about 5 minutes. And where seated at those tables ahead of us. That’s when we left

Came here for dinner the other night. I had some kind of appetizer for my meal and my son had the salmon with asparagus and sauteed vegetables. His meal kicked ass. I can’t remember what I ordered as my appetizer/​entrée but it was good nonetheless. I also had a Cesear salad that was quite tasty. My favorite part of eating at Texas Land & Cattle is the sour dough bread they bring out before your meal. I think I may even prefer it over the bread they serve at Saltgrass. As for the service, no complaints. We had a young waiter who was very attentive and amiable — nice kid. A manager came by to check on us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. This place had a good atmosphere. All in all, a good experience. I’ll be back!

Mediocre service. I went with my husband when restaurant was pretty empty and hostess attempted to seat us next to kitchen. We objected and chose another booth. Crab cakes were disappointing, small, no flavor, nothing special. Never got refills on water. Smoked sirloin came precut and mac and cheese was watered down. Not planning on returning. Only good thing was chicken fried chicken, which was average. Overall experience, F.

Always a great place to eat. Never been disappointed here. It’s nice to go to bass pro and walk around then go here for dinner.

The meals were oh so great the salmon was just right and the flavor reminded me of when I would grill fresh caught salmon after a day of fishing. I also thought the salads were fresh and the food combinations were perfect.

Literally, just came back from this place. My company had our «Holiday Lunch» here this afternoon, and it was TERRIBLE. We got there at 1:15 and were promptly seating (the only thing that was fast i might add). Once sat we were given menus. About 5 minutes later our waitress came and took our drink orders and appetizer requests. 10 minutes later our party of 8 were served our drinks… all nonalcoholic I might add. The appetizers and the salads came out at a normal pace, but at 2:15 we were still waiting on our actual entrees. Once delivered ½ of our party had lukewarm food. The waitress was short the entire time, and MAYBE came to our table (apart from delivering the food) 3 times. Once we asked for to go boxes our waitress reappeared and asked if we were on separate checks… after saying «No we’re all together» she asked about dessert.
1. Wouldn’t it make more sense to ask us about dessert BEFORE the check?
2. When we told her we would like dessert, she almost rolled her eyes and walked away before the other half of our party could order. Once ½ of the desserts were out we had to tell her, that 3 other guests wanted dessert.
RIDICULOUS.
After finishing our desserts, she decides to make her way back to the table and try to chat it up. My advice, if you wanted a good tip maybe be personal at the beginning and THROUGHOUT the meal… not at the very end after you have already charged us gratuity.
The very last thing that really bothered me, was when leaving… not one person said «Thanks for coming», «have a great day» nothing…
When there are 3 people at the hostess stand, I expect something.
Because of this POOR Service and half par food, I definitely will not return

My past two trips to Texas I’ve been with folks who are not too adventurous when it comes to food. Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse is a pretty safe choice, and I must say… not a bad one. I had the Cajun ribeye with a baked potato. I ordered my steak medium rare, and by no means did it get to my table that way (medium well)…but the meat was good. My buddy ordered the smoked sirloin medium rare and his came out looking that way. Overall, if you want a good steak at a reasonable price, this Texas chain restaurant is a safe bet.

I really feel like TXLC is my go to. I have been to this location several times. I can say it is always cold, so bring a jacket even if it’s hot outside. Service wise, they are okay. I don’t remember having a bad experience and most often the hostess to the waiter to the bar staff have been decent enough to cool.
Food is never a disappointment to me when I come here (knock on wood).
My fave five: Entrees
(1) Salmon Fillet
(2) Smoked Sirloin & shrimp
(3) Love all their soups (Smoked Chicken Tortilla/​French Onion/​Steak Soup)
(4) Baby Back Ribs (can you say… Tender… no lie I did not know what al of the fuss
was about until I experienced how it could fall of the bone… simply amazing)
(5) I love their veggie selection (Can’t get enough of their sauteed/​grilled green veggies
like spinach, asparagus and broccoli. Baked sweet and Idaho potatoes are both
tender and tasty. Salads are always crispy and fresh –try it with the house
dressing. Mashed potatoes are just okay.)
FYI: Their burgers are just okay. Not horrible but not memorable either.
Apps (a) & Dessert (d) FYIs:
(1a) I like the Smoked Sirloin nachos though at times it can be a bit inconsistent
(2a) Steak Queso is a winner so long as it is hot
(3a) I hear their Wedge Salad is pretty good though I have never had it (not my thing)
(1d) Hands-​down: You gotta try the Pee-​can Pie! Ohmagoodness!!! A la Mode…
(2d) Brownie is pretty good. Make sure they serve that brownie up hot beneath that
scoop of vanilla ice cream.
(3d) Cheesecake is huge but not especially special. Meh.
LEST we not forget about their amazing bread loaves. When it is hot and you have got some butter you will unintentionally carbo load before the meal even begins. It is that good. Bring your best bit of self-​control or just eff it and enjoy the whole thing by yourself.
Strawberry Lemonade is good (only one free refill).
Oh and I also was reading on the menu that their mushrooms were from Madisonville so yea for locally sourced veggies!

Not sure what happened to everone else. My review seems to be one of the few that has lots of good things to say. Maybe they made some changes.
I mean I don’t know what to say but I like it… I like it a lot!
