The ice-cream here is really good; doesn’t own my soul but definitely worth carelessly wasting half of your daily calories on one scoop. What gets me here is customer service. So while you stand in front of the, all bare-souled and vulnerable, ready to sin just contemplating the flavor to do it with it, they go all Jack Bauer on you: «What is it that you want???» Jeez. As if I am not in the Southern creamery deciding between hershies’ delight or strawberry cheesecake flavors but on Alaskan American-Russian fishing ship buying frozen herring illegally during an Arctic storm. Lighten up, people. I want a little bit of smile along with the sprinkles, please.

We used to love this location but its slowly been getting worse. Tonight we got 2 gotta have its and a love it and were charged $ 25. The 2 boys were talking so low… we couldn’t understand them and the one was whistling over the ice cream as he mixed it. Furthermore… they don’t even sing anymore when you tip them?! No thank you have a good night… nothing.

I was in today. While my wife ate her ice cream, I watched the lady behind the counter work on making her brownies. A family came in to order ice cream after we were seated. The employee making brownies was also running the register. She was taking money, stapling receipts, and dealing with customers all while wearing her gloves. I watched her go right back to putting her hands into the brownie pain. I hope you like a side of E. coli with your brownies.

In general, Cold Stone ice cream is entirely too rich for me. With some flavors, I get a lovely taste in the first few bites but the rest are so over the top that I lose the flavor entirely. Recently, however, I decide to abandon my typical selections of creamy vanilla, white chocolate or cheesecake and chose a coffee variety with a few unique toppings. Viola! Bliss. My daughter had an even more tasty(less filling) mix of pink lemonade and watermelon sorbet. I don’t think a more refreshing combination exists! This location is perfectly placed in the bustling shopping malls of White Oak Crossing. It is an excellent stop between running errands. The staff are always patient, friendly and helpful. Enjoy a few free samples before you decide on the small(like it), medium(love it), or large(gotta have it), and be sure to add in a few of the extensive mix-ins. What’s missing? A nice rich cup of coffee, that’s what… Oh, well. Still plenty to enjoy here!
