Very excellent. I got the creole chicken. The crab cakes was an added surprise they put it over the top. Very excellent

Egg sandwich with slaw. OMG! So good. Slaw has walnuts, apples and feta cheese! Sandwich is so fresh! Wedge salad and mushroom/beef soup. Wedge is more like a half head of lettuce! Soup is savory, rich full of flavor! We will be back.

Great food and service. It’s usually hard to have a good dinning experience in Georgetown and this place did not disappoint. I’ve been here several times and I’ll continue visiting. Our servers have always been sweet and efficient.

I ended up at this restaurant for a spontaneous lunch on a Sunday. I didn’t have any expectations, so it was a very nice surprise for me that the food was really awesome. Very good combinations of taste. I loved the Mac and cheese with lobster. I loved the Brussel sprouts. And their cheesecake is really awesome! And not unimportant, also the wine was good, as well as the service. 5 stars and I will be back for sure!

My Wife and I went there on New Years Eve. The place is very nice and clean and the wait staff was very friendly. The menu was a bit deceiving it attempts to be upscale. My wife had the lobster with pasta and cheese but in the end it was just Mac and cheese with some lobster and she was not happy with it. I had a meatball dish and a wedge salad and it was bland. The cook attempted a gourmet wedge salad but fell short it was a pithetic display and very dry. Not a lot of food for the price.

Service was good, the roasted brussels app. was just okay. We got the pork tenderloin, gumbo, cheese and meatballs and peppermint cheesecake. All was good, it was the small portion sizes that left me not satisfied. You should get more food for the price. Also my pork tenderloin was supposed to come with something else(rice or orzo, I believe) and without notice, the chef decided to give me mashed potatoes since they felt it «fit the flavor profile better»… I would have rather them give me a choice… overall the place is lovely and worth a trip to G-town to experience it.

Highly disappointing guys. The food is awesome. That is why I drove over 40 minutes. Only to be turned away at the door by a waiter who told me it was closed until dinner. Not only did the internet have hours listed as being open. There was a sign on the door saying that they would close 3pm on Sunday, January the 3rd. I arrived 20 minutes before 3 only to be turned away. This also leaves me in a bind with not really enough time to find somewhere else to eat and park before I have to pick up my son. Not impressed guys!

We ate here on Saturday 11⁄21 with our friends and we were immediately greeted by Kayley who showed us to our seats. She was a such a sweet and lovely person! Our friends had been here before and have talked non-stop about the food and we were anxious to try it. The charred Brussels sprouts, eggs Benedict, cheeseburger and the two porkbelly sandwiches were hands down the best we’ve had. The location is in a cute little area in Georgetown and the restaurant is comfy and reflects the homey and old-times of the area. Drinks are served in mason jars… which I love! The mimosas were great but I recommend trying the poinsettias and cucumber cooler. Thank you Kayley for being so wonderful and playing along with my British accent. Your story of your Aunt Suzanne was hilarious and made our lunch a lot more enjoyable. You are simply AMAZING!

We finally came back to this place! We came back from dallas for the first time after getting married since trying it a year ago. The pork belly sandwich is amazing as always. It was not on the dinner menu but the waitress put it in for us anyway! We also had our second favorite lobster Mac n cheese. The fried chicken dish was great, too. Look forward to coming back when we drive thru Austin next!

Outstanding menu which changes regularly I’m told. We had steak crostini with blue cheese and kale and grilled Brussels sprouts for appetizers and both were very good, and I don’t like it normally. The stuffed pork tenderloin was tasty and seasoned perfectly. Scallops got a rave review as did the shrimp and grits. Lobster mac and cheese was a favorite of the vegetarian diner. We will be back. We are waiting on the black cherry bread pudding!

3 of us ate here on a Sunday evening. The building is a fun mosh-mash of different rooms in an old(large) Victorian house right off the square. 2 of us had salads that were delicious. We also had bread that came with a very different dipping sauce. It was not the standard olive oil-garlic-black pepper sauce, it was far more complex. We could taste olives, red pepper flakes, garlic, black pepper, tomatoes, oregano, thyme, and something sweet. It was spectacular! Entre’ 1 was seared duck breast. I am told it was very good. I didn’t taste it, it was to rare for me. I acknowledge that is MY problem, it WAS properly cooked. Number 2 was the fried chicken thighs with mashed potatoes, zucchini, and green chile gravy. Diner didn’t really care for the gravy. Number 3 was the shrimp and grits. Shrimp were a little over, and there was a lump about the size of a ping pong ball of uncooked grits right in the middle. Just ordinary, nothing really special. Yes, I will go again when we are back in the area. I will try the blackened catfish enchiladas.

Had lunch. Pricey. Limited menu. Was surprised to see a place that promotes«farm to table» serve a frozen, preformed hamburger patty(at least, that’s what my wife’s burger looked and tasted like). Really like the location, has a lot of potential. Hope they find their niche and settle in to offering a more expanded FRESHER menu.

All I can say is from the cocktail to the dessert… not impressed(and that’s being nice). It was my birthday and the 1st time I’d seen my ex-husband in 7 yrs. he asked me to dinner, he told me to pick the place, never been to Eats, but looked cute on the face. So I wanted him to take me to a special place. Everything was average to below average, very disappointed. Won’t be back.

Charming restaurant nestled in Georgetown. We dined outside on a crisp fall evening, and we enjoyed our visit for sure! Wine selection is large, and we enjoyed a glass before dinner. Brussel sprouts were recommended, and we shared them as a table. They were pretty tasty, but I have come to love brussel sprouts a la Uchi-with fish sauce and other magic-so these were just okay. I was exited to see zucchini noodles on the menu. The cheese-stuffed meatballs and zucchini noodles were lovely-a wonderful choice:) Bread pudding is the way to end the meal-glorious! So decadent and tasty. All in all, a glorious meal:)

I don’t often give 5 stars but this place was absolutely delicious. I went for Sunday Brunch and got the pork belly Eggs Benedict. The pork belly was crispy, so much better than Canadian bacon. The biscuit was so much better than an English muffin. I’ve been gushing about it for weeks(and since I took first bite). My husband got the chicken fried steak. The chili gravy on it was fabulous. The potatoes served with it were really tasty. We even loved the zucchini noodles(not usually big fans of zucchini). The cocktails were great. I can’t wait to go back for dinner soon.

Had lunch on the porch, very clean, waited and sat right away. Host gave us some suggestions. Had fired chicken thighs, garlic mash potatoes, and zucchini strips, only thing wrong with the plate was I needed more. Chicken fried prefect and moist on inside, potatoes great garlic flavor, just was a little cool, needed to be warmer, zucchini was not over cooked and seasoning salt and pepper. Great taste! Next pork belly sandwich, you can tell this was braised a long time, good balance of meat and fat, seared crispy on outside, fried egg crispy outside and yolk good and soft, greens with it fresh and washed. With a great balsamic dressing. Also had goat cheese appetizer, I have to say when I got it and cut into it, it looked like a dried out corncake, was I wrong, great goat cheese taste, crispy outside, moist inside, with a nice salad on the side. Fresh tea served in mason jars! Server was Brady, knew menu well and suggested the thighs and pork belly, great job taking care of us. Parking was a little tough, but if it’s good you find a way.

Stopped in here as our first choice was closed. So glad we did! Food was superb. Pork Belly sandwich was incredibly tasty. My new favourite place in Georgetown. Not cheapest place but also not too pricey. Especially their lunch menu. Recommended. Staff friendly too. Nice way to spend my Birthday lunch!

I came here for lunch with a coworker while in the area. It’s located in a c. 1895 Victorian cottage and is adorable! The place is super cozy, the staff is nice, and there is outside seating. Everything on the menu looked amazing and the prices were a little high, but still reasonable. There was a variety of soups, salads, and entrees. The lobster mac and cheese caught my eye, but my coworker and I each settled on a half soup and half salad with tomato basil soup and they’re version of the house salad. The food was delicious!!! The soup was a small bowl, more than a cup, and the salad was pretty large too. The salad had all kinds of goodies, including figs, avocado, nuts, and tomatoes. I loved this place! I don’t rate many places 5 stars, but I literally wanted to order everything on the menu.

Overall we had a lovely time at Eats On 8th. We came in for brunch on a mild overcast Texan day — perfect patio weather. We elected to sit outdoors at the extremely spacious sidewalk patio(approximately 12 tables with room to spare) which is considerably large when compared to outdoor eating options in the Georgetown Square. Service was friendly and professional. Food takes some time to come out, but that’s not a bad thing — it just means more time for you to socialize if you’re with company. For starters we had the Duck Fat Fried Potatoes. Now THAT was incredibly tasty. You simply have to try it to appreciate it. For our entrees, we had the Eggs Florentine and Chorizo Hash. The dishes weren’t light by any means, but you could definitely categorize it as creative, rich comfort food. The portions are sizeable, so you will certainly get your fill. Coupled with mimosas, we had a lovely time. Not sure if they were understaffed, but we had some moments between dishes getting cleared. However, each time they did check on us, it was genuine and sincere. Looking forward to eating here again. We were so impressed with our brunch, so we asked to see the dinner menu. Everything looked so tasty! Definitely looking forward to bringing my dog next time for the patio dining. There’s so much space outdoors that you don’t feel cramped at all.
