Had lunch at Wildfire today and the food is amazing and delicious. Our waitress Trish was outstanding and was constantly checking on us. It’s a must to eat here as you will not regret it.

If you live in Austin and don’t mind a 20 minute drive, on a lazy afternoon or for a special celebration then WILDFIRE café in Georgetown is the place for you. The wait staff is well trained and knowledgable about the menu. The menu selections are well varied and cooked to perfection. I have driven to Wildfire 3 times now and the experience each time has been super! The pork chop melted in my mouth, the smothered chicken special was juicy and the hamburger(Del Rio)…to die for! I ordered the stir fried vegetables as a side and put a few on the top and they intensified the flavor. The Ruben sandwich is wonderful but side the sour kraut and add it at the table… lots of moisture… but yummy. Then there is dessert; all are scrumptious but the carrot cake is «over the moon good!» The best time to go is late afternoon, during the evening can get crowded but, they do take reservations. It’s a great place with linen table clothes/napkins, tea candles and nostalgic soft jazz/big band music playing in the background… Oh ya, they also have a nice full bar as well.

The atmosphere is a large part of the charm. There was not a whole lot of «walking around» room, but the coziness was fine. Service was not memorable, meaning nothing stood out to me, either good or bad. The food was pretty good. We had the calamari for the appetizer, it was good. I have had much worse and some better.(That is a dish I use to «judge» restaurants if they serve it.) The main courses we had at our table were the cobb salad, couple of burgers, pecan crusted chicken salad, kids meals– chicken strips for both. The food was good, as was the presentation. I read some reviews about food temps and not being kid friendly, etc. and I did not experience that at all. Our experience was just fine. We will go back for sure. I am slowly but surely making my way around the notable spots in Georgetown and so far, all but one of them(I won’t mention them here but they are in my reviews) has been really good. This is another place near the square that will likely not disappoint. It is worth trying at least once for sure and you will probably go back.

A party of 10 ate brunch this morning and what a delight. Food and service were both great. Never felt rushed or that we were an intrusion. The mini scones and delightful fruit plate were not only beautiful, but delicious. Look forward to dining again and perhaps having something other then the wonderful French onion soup. Highly recommend trying this restaurant.

The rolls and butter they start you off with were very soft and tasty. My wife loved her chicken and dumplings, she says they tie for first place with The Texan Café in Hutto, I thought they were excellent. I went with the chicken cobb salad, it was fresh with lots of ingredients, had to be careful eating it so it wouldn’t fall out of the bowl, and that prevented me from fully implementing the 5 second rule. The chicken was good but not great, minus one star for that. The service was topnotch, we’ll be back for more.

I love this place, I had not been in quite some time and forgotten how great it was. Bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer and then Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp, Yellow fin tuna, salmon and scallops yet again YUMMM! Their bread is really good too, no need to drench it in butter like some places do, taste great without it. We also got a Filet Mignon and it was perfect! They wine selections seemed to be limited on range of Chardonnays but they do have lots of options. The serving team were all great, with everyone ensuring empty glasses and plates were taken quickly which was nice. Our waitress was good, but could probably work on speaking a little louder/less scared when giving the specials, but I’m sure she is new and still learning. All in all a TERRIFIC dinner! I know why this place is still going strong.

We loved our brunch experience! We are new to the area and have had brunch at a popular place up the road, and today we went to try it for a second time but didn’t want to do the 45 minute wait for our party of 5. I had heard great things about Wildfire and was excited to try a new place. I called them to inquire on the wait. They informed me that there was not yet one and took our name. When we arrived a couple minutes later they greeted us by name :) As we walked in we were welcomed by the servers working… already wowed by the friendliness! Mark, our server, did not disappoint. He was friendly, attentive, and was great to accommodate our special requests. Having two little ones, I was nervous since it seemed like a more upscale place. However I was so relieved when they brought a kids menu and two coloring books and crayons! I also loved that after the food came that Mark asked them individually how they liked their food after they started eating. We eat out frequently, and this is the first time they’ve ever been asked… loved it! Our adult brunch entrees ordered were the Eggs Oscar, Eggs El Paso, and the Migas. Before our food ale out we were brought complimentary scones and fruit. Some of the best scones we’ve had! Everyone at the table loved their food, including the littles that ordered spaghetti and fettuccine. We will definitely return. Thank you Wildfire for a wonderful Sunday brunch experience!

This is a classic, old people, Georgetown place. It’s not bad or divey, but it just has that vibe. The brunch is good, you get scones and fruit, and the brunch drink specials are pretty good. The food is pretty good, but the menu is limited. I think that’s part of the old people, Georgetown MO — they can’t handle too many choices so all the menus are limited. And it’s really not expensive either(old people are cheap). The waiters are usually pretty nice, but it’s a difficult restaurant for limited-mobility people to navigate — no parking lot, so it’s street parking if you can find it. Narrow, dark hallways, and the booths are insanely uncomfortable. And the dining room is small so not a lot of space for walkers and canes.

My family and I visited Wildfire restaurant on 12⁄23 of 2014. We were looking for somewhere nice to eat on the square, and we weren’t disappointed. While I did have a few issues with my dish(the temp being one of them, which seems a consistent sticking point throughout reviews), I thought it earned its four stars. The two dishes my folks ordered, they both loved, and neither could get over how BEAUTIFULLY the place was decorated for the holidays. My father’s not the kind to «go on» about such things, so … you know it was something special. =) Other’s have commented over the price of the menu, and I will agree that it is up there($$-$$$), but it’s an elegant four star restaurant, and the prices weren’t out of line with that(you’ll pay between $ 12 – 30 for an entrée($ 12 – 23 during the daytime, $ 15-$ 30 at night). I heard that their menus are ever changing, too, though I’ve only eaten there the once, myself. All in all, I would definitely go back for a second try! I admit to not finding exactly what I wanted on the menu and when I asked my waitress if the dish I was hoping for existed, she said that while she didn’t think it _did_, she didn’t think she’d have any trouble convincing the restaurant staff to make it! They did their best, and that kind of… flexibility and concern for patron’s happiness is something rare. Too rare not to give a second chance at that all important fifth star. Come flurries again this year, I hope to have given Wildfire one more shot!

I do enjoy eating here. I have dined in the bar by myself and had great service and food! I also came here recently for a moms night out(we went to painting with a twist afterwards) and we had great food and drinks! Our waitress was new so she was not all with it, but she was still a good waitress for it being a friday night and busy! We will defiantly return!

After all of the reviews I was expecting some divine eats. Huge disappointment. The place is very cute and our waiter was very nice. My son’s chicken strip were home made and very tasty. Here is where it gets bad. My son’s food came out about 20 minutes before me and my wifes. He was ready to go by the time we got our food. I ordered the fried chicken thighs and ended up with chicken fried steak. I wasn’t about to say anything because I would have to wait another 30 minutes for my food. The plate was decent but nothing spectacular. My wife ordered the eggs Florentine. I have never seen a poached egg where the yolk looked curdled. In fact, I have never seen an egg yolk look curdled. All in all, it was not a very good meal. If you are looking for great chicken nuggets, cute ambiance, and nice enough waiter this is the place to come.

We went here on our 20th wedding anniversary. It was the one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant ever. The bone-in ribeye was topped with a succulent sauce, and I have never tasted better French Onion soup in my life! Was not gluten free though– I paid for going off diet the next few days. Worth it! I probably will take time off of work the next time we go there.

Once upon a time, Wildfire was one of our favorite restaurants. We went there on a very frequent basis for lunch and dinner. We’ve sat on the restaurant side and the bar side and always loved it. Wildfire used to have tasty and well put together food. Lunch and dinner could be had here for a range of price and it was almost always good. Now, all that’s left are the very eloquent descriptions of the offerings on the menu and food that doesn’t even rise to being called mediocre. The freshness, quality and care in the ingredients that once was present in every dish are gone. There was a time when it really felt like someone cared about what they were putting out to the customer, as though they wanted you to be impressed with the look and flavor. Now, it just looks and tastes like no one is even paying attention. The portion sizes have also dropped significantly, which would be fine if the prices didn’t go up. The service has always been hit or miss — but in the last year it has become a rarity to get decent service, and we’ve had some servers(and bartenders) who were just outright rude. We also noticed a decline in the upkeep of the restaurant/bar itself — it was looking rundown as well as showing some obvious signs(and smells) that cleaning was being neglected. Our last experience was a combination of terrible service, bad food and a bar area that honestly had a kind of sickening vomit like odor about it. We knew when we left, that after years of being patrons of Wildfire, we wouldn’t be going back. I do hope that they can find their way back to what they once were but in the meantime, we will be eating at some of the many new and great places that have popped up in Georgetown.

I really wanted to like this place but it was overly hyped. I figured this place to be one of the better in Georgetown. But it was not to my liking. First of all, the queso served with our appetizer was not hot, it wasn’t even warm but a sad room temperature. The bread was hard and possibly stale. The butter was not butter. I ordered a Chicken Cobb Salad because how can you mess that up? My chicken was cold and not fresh, neither were most bits of the salad. My mom ordered the Pecan Crusted Pork Chop. Where were the pecans? The pork chop tasted bland. We DID enjoy the sweet potato slaw? I can’t remember what it was called but it had sweet potato, corn, green beans and mexican chorizo. All in all, we won’t be returning.

Not much to say about this place. Mediocre food and poor customer service. I hear the burgers are pretty good, but haven’t had one myself. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and a glass of bubbles. The server was very slow to get our order and never refilled a water glass that sat empty for over 45 minutes. When she did bother to come talk to us, it was with a flat affect and zero personality. I’m not sure what happens in Georgetown, but this is a frequent problem at many of the restaurants. I’d probably give them 2.49 stars just so I didn’t have to round up to three. It’s not horrible food, but the service sinks it, IMO.

I really wanted to check out downtown Georgetown and this place came highly recommended. It’s a very old, candlelight dinner type of place, where people dine quietly and the servers are very proper and polite :) I was considering a glass of wine but ordered dessert… everyone was raving about the Bananas Wildfire… it did not disappoint!(oak grilled glazed bananas, served in a brandy snap cookie bowl with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, bittersweet chocolate sauce and whipped cream) I kind of felt guilty… but oh well, you only live once ;) An old theatre is next door and it was sweet to see elderly couples dressed nicely, holding hands. I felt time warped back to a time when people slowed down and everything in life was simple. Can’t wait to check out downtown Georgetown during the daytime!

Was here for lunch one day after seeing a delicious sounding pasta dish through the online menu… well, it wasn’t on the real menu. Bummer. So, I ended up ordering the BLTC with sweet potato fries. It was just okay. The bread was soggy and thin and didn’t hold up well with all of the ingredients inside the sandwich. I thought Texas toast is supposed to be thick? It was definitely full of ingredients, so no complaints there. Was my first time eating cactus! Sweet potato fries were just okay as well. A bit greasy. I also had ordered a lemonade which was sickeningly sweet. They have a crap ton of menu items here… I’m not sure how they are able to make so many different things. The restaurant was pretty busy for lunch service and seems like a popular place in Georgetown. Not sure if I just ordered a not so great item or if it just wasn’t a great day in the kitchen for them. Oh well.

Came to Georgetown for a quick visit to the square and we popped in here for a bite at lunchtime. The service was friendly and we were seated to a pretty packed house right away. On first glance, the menu has got an enormous amount of selections. This is the kind of place Robert Irvine comes into and forces down the menu on because there is just too much here, and you wonder how they keep all the ingredients fresh and can go through them. My wife ordered the lemonade which was far too sweet. It probably needed almost double the water and lemon to balance it out. I ordered the chorizo stuffed pork loin with bacon collard greens and while it was ok, I wouldn’t particularly recommend it or go for it again. The pork loin was on the more well done side and not particularly juicy, and there was very little chorizo to the point of really not even being able to taste it. The collard greens were pretty good I thought, however. The prices were pretty reasonable, so at least I wasn’t let down by that, but overall the meal wasn’t as enjoyable as the ratings let me to hope for. Wildfire works in a pinch, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here.
