Worst McDonald’s ever. Cold food slow service and they don’t seem to understand how to turn off the incessant beeping for whatever food they are ruining

You would think that a McDonald’s situated in a tourist town this close to the Washington Metropolitan area as this one would have caught up with the rest of the Mid-Atlantic area. No all day breakfast and only one teller, even though the line stretched out to the parking lot. They ran out of breakfast items and handed out incomplete items. We had to ask for everything, syrup, butter, utensils, etc. Because they were all behind the counter.

We expect quick food, but often times we only complain it wasn’t fast enough. Well I’m traveling and had a hankering for some fast good … and wow, was it! My past few experiences with McDonald’s have been frustratingly slow. The drive in line at this McDonald’s was very long, so I went inside, only to find it was crowded as well. However, I am not sure how they did it, but soon I was in the front of the line and even as fast, my food was delivered. This good mood will probably lessen the damage to my arteries, building Karma is a constant in life.

First of all, no problem with the food. My Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit as very good and the Fruit & Maple Oatmeal was ok. This location is one of the worst laid out McDonald’s I’ve ever seen. It’s a modernized McDonald’s rebuilt to look more modern. Seating is far and few between with the new style seating, when eating here I noted many people got there orders to go. The ordering area is crowded by a poorly placed long table. The soda fountain area was quite messy. The building needs about a 15 foot addition in the front to accommodate additional seating. Overall, an forgettable experience.

Smaller of the 2 McD’s in this area — other is south end of town on Steinwehr Ave(US15 Business). This one gives a definite priority to drive-thru. Often walk-ins stand at the counter waiting to order while multiple vehicle orders are taken and completed. Food is the usual McD fare. All size sodas, iced tea or coffee(regular type) are $ 1 all year. Restrooms are small but well maintained. No playground, but are a few tables on town(west) side of parking lot. Burger King about ¼ mile east on US30 is less busy and Wendy’s near there offers lunch and dinner. Both have drive-thru.

I will never go back to this McDonalds again. They have no clue how to run this place. It was dirty and they were so slow. The girl behind the registered seemed like she didn’t want to be working and rather than help her co-workers get people’s orders out she kept taking more orders and over crowding the front. Then she didn’t know the difference between a meal and a sandwich. If I could give this place a negative 5 rating I would!
