One of our favorite wines and places in the Dry Creek area. Such a relaxed atmosphere, and both my husband and I love their reds. Their whites are pretty exceptional as well. We are members and planned a trip with friends to the Sonoma area, but had not originally planned on stopping by. However we realized that it wouldn’t be the same without some Dutcher and they gladly took 10 of us in at a moment’s notice, which made my birthday weekend all the more special!

My brother in law and his spouse took my wife and I on a tour for our 30th anniversary in 2010. They had lived out in California and would make annual pilgrimages to different winery’s. We were fortunate to go to some great places(St. Francis, Benziger(awesome biodynamics), Hall, Silver Oak) to name a few, but my wife and I loved the Dutcher Crossing group. The staff was eager to show you their reason for working there. The wines are great(we are in a club and order extra at times). I am a beer and scotch drinker, love to sample the malts. However, I became a Zin junky and their«port». My wife is the merlot and Cab person. Just none like it. thanks Kali and group.

i will be honest. we don’t even like wine that much. we love food and wine that goes with food so its pretty hard to convince the husband and me on wine tasting alone that we like the wine. dutcher crossing was perhaps the most enjoyable and tasty wine tasting experience we have ever had. the guys working the tasting room were great to talk to and in the end we were totally sold on the proprietors club membership! the wines are delicious and the prices were very reasonable. plus they love dogs! win win!

The grounds and tasting room are very attractive without seeming too staged. The wines are good but alas they are too expensive. I can find equal quality elsewhere in Dry Creek and Alexander Valley for less money. Tasting room gets crowded and staff can’t keep up. I saw a few customers frustrated with waiting for help buying bottles instead throw money on the bar to cover their tasting fees and walk away empty-handed.

We’ve been wine club members here for a little over three years and couldn’t be happier. The wines are priced very reasonably(we receive six bottles of reds-only twice a year), and we’re consistently impressed with their offerings. My husband and I visited the winery last week for a tasting and to enjoy their amazing views of the Dry Creek Valley. They were quite busy on a Saturday around 3pm, but the tasting room manager immediately gave us a warm welcome, cleared an area for a tasting, and introduced himself even before we told him we were club members. We were really blown away by their most recent release, the 2014 Chenoweth Vineyard Pinot Noir. It is still very young and will need decanting if you want to drink it now, but with the cherry and earthy notes, I can’t wait to see what this develops into down the road. Don’t forget to take a minute and go out onto the back patio to take in the views. There are several picnic tables under a pergola, which would be perfect for a picnic.

I’m a fan of this winery but tried to go there recently and it seems it’s now by membership invitation only. I enjoyed their wine when I could go.

Amazing wines at a very reasonable price. The winery is just beautiful and the staff is professional and so friendly. One of the best in the area for sure. A must try if you haven’t yet. Can’t wait to go back

What a pleasant surprise it was to discover this winery. The wines we tasted were all very good to exceptional. Many of their coveted wines are only available for sale to wine club members, and because they are one of only a handful of wineries with grape contracts with Maple vineyards, I had to join the wine club. Maple vineyards, in case you did not know, consistently produces the best Zinfandel grapes on the planet. I trust that any winery worthy to receive their coveted grapes has an equally worthy winemaker. That proved to be the case here. The staff was was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines. I highly recommend this winery!

This place is nice for its picnic tables and view. For the wine, I thought it was just ok, nothing to my wine preference though. Service is good, and lots of cool antiques to look at. Got a get great back story from our sommelier.

Exceptional reds here. Really good, especially for fans of zin. Everything about Dutcher Crossing is pretty terrific actually, from the bucolic setting in the center of Dry Creek Valley, to the large, relatively-new tasting room where you sip surrounded by cathedral windows that open on to vine and mountain views, to the friendly, helpful staff. We loved this winery –there are some really good, drinkable wines, particularly reds here. They have such a beautiful situation under a leafy arbor set up for members. We got a tasting card from Bella(also a fun spot to taste in the area) for a free tasting, since they have a complimentary relationship, which made coming here even more convivial. After hearing so much about Dutcher Crossing wines from friends, such a nice surprise to find a place producing such consistently big tasty reds to be so friendly, easy going, and welcoming.

Exceptional wines and great customer service. Prices were a tad high, but again the wines were good. The grounds were pretty. Definitely recommended for a visit if you’ve never been before. Our pourer was Krissy and she was very kind. We will definitely be back for another visit.

This is one of my favorite places in Dry Creek. Have been a wine club member since our first visit 8 years ago. More on that later. Visited 10⁄19 and were hosted by Mario. He was enjoyable and led us through the tasting of 2 chardonnays and then 6 reds. GSM blend, 2 zins, 3 cabs. The Proprietor Reserve offerings are very good and should be my house reds, particularly for the price points. Higher priced cabs are also very good. As I said we have been club members here for years and visit every year, but don’t really feel anything special here. Possibly because the tasting room personnel is always different from year to year. No continuity at all. We feel«special» at other club wineries due to the relationship we have made with the tasting room staff – not any of that here. But, the wine is good, the scenery is the best in the area. A wonderful place to visit at the end of the day with the sun setting. Work on maintaining the staff!

We had such a nice time at this winery! The views are spectacular, the wine incredibly delish and the staff so hospitable! We joined the wine club and brought our friends back later that day! Miranda is awesome! The owner even greeted us and chatted for a bit! We also had the opportunity to meet the two winery dogs… Duchess and Remy! Highly recommend! Wine club only ships twice a year! Go out and support this fine establishment!

We’ve been members here for awhile and have always loved the wine and hospitality. Being local, there is obviously LOTS of choices for high quality boutique wine, but Dutcher is consistently a favorite. Today’s trip was particularly awesome. We were visiting for the summer wine club release party and had the pleasure of chatting with Nick(the winemaker) at the tasting bar as we worked our way through the wines. Nick’s passion for his wines, his genuine interest in his customers and his ability to make us feel like valued guests really added to the experience. From Chard to Petite and back, the wines at Dutcher do not disappoint. Cheers!

We first came here with a group of 18 to start our wine tasting and we were so happy we stopped by. Not many wineries are willing to accommodate such a large group, but since it was earlier in the day, we got two private tables in the courtyard. We tasted 5 wines for 5 bucks. I’m not a wine connoisseur by any means, but they were all great! I typically don’t like whites, but they have some of the best Chardonnay I’ve ever had. Our group went home with a few bottles of it. With the beautiful views, great wine, and younger feel to it, we decided to join the wine club. There are wine club parties almost every month and you get two bottles of wine 4 times a year. Definitely one of the most affordable wine clubs in the area. I could go on and on saying great things about the winery, but you’ll have to check it out yourself. They only sell their wine at the winery, which is another good reason to stop by!

Came here on a whim. Actually because we received a complimentary tasting from Dry Creek Vineyard and so glad we decided to go here. The grounds are beautiful and the tasting room had great views of the vineyard. Mark was our pourer and he was great in telling us about the wines we were tasting. We also got to taste a couple wines not on the tasting menu. Let me just say of all the wineries we’ve been to in Napa and Sonoma, this was the only winery where every single wine we tasted was great! They weren’t just good or average, each of them stood out. Highly recommend Dutcher Crossing and will definitely return on my next visit to the Sonoma area.

Every wine I have tasted here is truly delicious(and I don’t say that often). So good, that I decided to join the wine club here. I even make the trek all the way up here to get it because I truly love the wines. Plus, the staff is super friendly and informative. The grounds are beautiful. What more could I ask for of a winery??? :)

Great wines, beautiful view, friendly tasting room staff. You should become a member here especially if you want to have some maple vineyard zin. :-) Members can reserve their wonderful patio for a picnic lunch too.

A tip from a friend and a weekend in the Wine Country, I knew even before arriving that I would be begging(BEGGING) to be a wine club member. But first I had to taste. We stopped in on a warm afternoon in May with two of our friends. Even before we had a chance to settle in, there were four glasses resting on the counter. We started off by tasting a rose which was the perfect way to begin our sampling. We ended sipping on a bold blend, it was then I scrambled for a wine club application. Every wine we tasted was phenomenal. But what impressed me more than anything else was the friendliness of the staff who not only touted their wines, but also made a list of other wineries that we might consider visiting in the area. That was major bonus points for me! The winery also has a nice picnic area in the back that we took full advantage of and had a wine and cheese lunch while taking in the views. The tasting room at Dutcher Crossing offers any wine lover one of the best tasting experiences in Dry Creek. The staff are down to earth, knowledgable and you gotta love the fact that are into«heavy pours». The associates are friendly and work hard to make sure that the tasters enjoyment is maximized.
