I have called in my order multiple times before coming to pick it up, because I have only 30 minutes for a lunch break. Today I called it in as usual and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I gave them more time knowing already that it wouldn’t be ready when I got there. After a little wait, I left work to go pick it up. As usual, I walked in and the order was barely being put together. As usual I was helped right away and told my order was almost ready. They bagged my food and then took 10 more minutes to make my to-go drinks. Then they gave me the drinks and as usual the takeout person disappeared. I was honestly tempted to take all my food and split after waiting longer for her to come back so I could PAY! Several employees asked if I had been helped and I said yes. Finally the hostess came back and rang me up. It took me 15 minutes just to get out of there overall. This happens EVERYTIME I order takeout here! When I got back to work, my bacon blue cheese salad was a container of chopped bacon. It had maybe 4 slices of strawberries and about 10 spinach leaves. It was like eating a pound of chopped bacon. I am seriously never coming here again. Not only was I extremely late getting back to work but my food was the saddest excuse for a salad. I can’t believe I gave this place another try after 3 – 4 previous visits with this same exact slow service. Don’t order takeout from here ever.

Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday, and was SO pleased we did! I had half chicken cordon bleu sandwich with Caesar salad and my husband had the turkey dinner. Both dishes we wonderful! The fruit was fresh, crisp, and flavorful. The staff is all fast and welcoming. GREATJOB!

This is a no-stars review, even though the waitress did an O.K. job. The problem is that the food gave me an acute food poisoning. At lunch time on a Tuesday,(when there were almost no customers), I ordered chicken crepes(that come with a house salad), and I used just a few drops of each of the dressings. Some bread and black coffee. About 20 min. later, I really suffered! Was that the first time«Mimi» poisoned me? No. Several months ago, after shopping all day, I dropped into«Mimi’s» for an early dinner — with the same result! A couple of years ago, I also got an upset stomach after eating there, but it wasn’t as bad as the last 2 times. During my occasional visits to Southern California over many years, I had meals at several«Mimi’s» Cafes, and the food was O.K. or even good and certainly fresh. I had been glad when I had spotted«Mimi’s» near Gilroy outlets and I visited them several times. Well, you know the results… As far as I am concerned, I need to avoid their Gilroy location forever!

Sat down for breakfast on Sunday. We were skeptical eating here, since it took them 15 mins. to see if we wanted drinks. There was only one waiter for section of 12 tables and he was the bartender too. Wasn’t his fault if management didn’t schedule enough people for a Sunday. We order the steak and eggs,(the most expensive item for breakfast). We order medium rare…, steak was medium done, dry, and tough. Also ordered corned beef hashed egg benedict. Added spinach for $.49 cents more? Was ok. The waiter/bartender did the best he could in his service to us. Will not go back again, since there are other places in area to eat, which can give us better service & food.

Let me just say their food is horrible. Do not eat here, ever. My husband and I ate there for dinner this evening. They were out of the wine he wanted, they had no bread to serve us. The steak he ordered medium rare was well well done and the shrimp I ordered were so rubbery and tasteless. We would complained but what can you do? Bad food is bad food, just won’t eat here again. The only positive thing was the waiter was very friendly.

It’s hard to find Mimi’s Café in the LA area, so I decided that this would my lunch stop with the parental units on the way to San Francisco. Service was good, and the kitchen got our food out pretty quickly. We decided to get a warm carrot raisin muffin as our appetizer, and that made the parental units happy. A rundown of our food: Farmers salad with scallop skewers — a really nice place. Scallops were cooked just right(not rubbery) and there was fresh corn on the cob with baby greens Chicken cordon blue sandwich with a mini blue cheese bacon salad — I may have ordered best. The salad was so good that I almost wished I had more of it. The sandwich is exactly what you’d expect with chicken cordon blue, just between 2 slices of bread Key lime pie — it’s not sliced like a wedge, but rather a rectangle. It’s good, but not worth $ 8. Next time if I’m getting dessert, I’m getting something else. If you can spare more time than fast food, this is a good choice.

Rename to My, My! I gathered with my sis for a quick gathering and knew I made a mistake the moment we sat down. The booth seat was ripped. Our server was friendly and upbeat but it could not cover for the lack of flavor and inability to cook. I made the mistake of ordering the seafood skewers. Aftersll, Gilroy isn’t that far from the coast. Overcooked, no seasoning and warm. They looked like they spent the night in a tanning booth. Never mind we had to constantly ask for refills. I had been to Mims in San Jose and it was not as horrible as this location. Drive further north or south and bypass this disaster of a place.

My family and I were in Gilroy over the past weekend for a funeral. Everyone arrived in town on Friday night and we wanted to find a place that could accommodate our group of 20 for dinner on Friday night. Mimi’s was happy to have us. Mind you, we were all a bit tired and also weren’t in town for the happiest of occasions, so I’m sure that we were a little difficult in that we were kind of all over the place. People were also moving around a lot from table to table to converse. I was so impressed with the staff here that I actually did pull the manager aside and thank her for the way we were treated. 20 people… some eating, some not. Separate checks… who’s paying for who… it would have made any seasoned server want to pull their hair out, but instead we were treated with excellent service, drinks and food came out in good time. Orders were correct and there was never even a hint of attitude from any of the staff. I don’t know if or when I will return to Gilroy, but I wouldn’t hesitate to return and will happily recommend it to my friends and family.

Eh, the food — I didn’t like it. Like, at all. I ordered a crêpe. Spinach, egg, and cheese I believe. It came packed with onions. In fact, onions were all I could taste. I had to re order the same thing so they could make it without onions. I probably won’t be coming back to any Amy’s Café since the food didn’t impress me. There could be other food on the menu that’s better, but I won’t try it. Service was great though! Our server was very friendly. Five stars for service. Two star for the food :/

I need to update my review again(points off for lack of consistency)…but the last breakfast was excellent all the way around. Super service, hot food and tasty. I SO hope they can keep this up. I really want them to succeed here! I used to love this place. Have eaten here many times. This morning, it’s a total FAIL. Cold food(and there’s not a lot worse than cold, greasy bacon!) and way too long for coffee, waitress not paying attention so didn’t get refills until we asked. She did offer to reheat — but really, I hate waiting and it should have been right the first time. Will have to look for another place to eat next time.

I have to down grade my assessment at this location. The food was normal good Mimi’s fare. But the preparation was pedestrian. My wife’s strawberry crepes were stuffed with cold strawberries making her crepes cold and not hot. My omelet that I had scrambled was flat Grill scrambled vs fluffy scrambled as I asked and hence the eggs were scorched. A professionally trained staff from HQs could fix these faupax’s. But until they do this will be a subpar restaurant.

I really enjoy going to Mimi’s for breakfast. Their muffins are always a strong choice, with the carrot raisin being my personal favorite, and the lemon poppy seed pancakes were light and moist. I was also pleasantly surprised with how tasty they were able to make the egg white omelette with feta cheese. I typically only comment on food, but I feel compelled to mention that the service here was top notch. Overall, I definitely recommend it!

what can i say i love this place, ordered a Mango Mimosa that comes with Korbel California Champagne, fresh-squeezed orange juice with Mango. and they give you the little bottle of champagne to add what you like… i used it all, i love the fact that they have fresh croissants(filled as well) and fresh muffins the service was great really attentive but not overly done, i ordered the Chicken Parmesan: Hand-breaded chicken breast, melted mozzarella, pomodoro sauce and linguine. The pomodoro sauce was so good i ask for some bread to finish it up with, the chicken was juicy and had a nice crust on it. My son ordered off the kids menu: Grilled Chicken & Vegetables Served with French Fries and he said it was really really good he even put some of my pomodoro sauce on his lol. i will for sure be coming back here.

I’ve come here many times in the past, one of which times I swore I’d never return, but here I am. Lol. My waitress Pam today has been nothing short of fantastic! She checked on me like 20 times and made sure I’ve been well taken care of. She has had a great attitude and positive energy all around! I hope she is acknowledged accordingly by upper management. She’s a sweetheart! I felt compelled to write this review while still sitting at the table. Thanks, PAM! I’ll be back!

Our party of three went for breakfast on a weekday. I ordered a quiche and a strawberry and banana crêpe. My mom and aunt shared the ham and cheese crêpe. My quiche was just okay while their crêpe looked so delicious with all the gooey cheese on top of it. For now I’m just giving it 3 stars because I wasn’t blown away by my order. I’ll try the ham and cheese crêpe next time and I’ll see whether it will turn me into a fan.

Had dinner here. Looks like they revamped their menus. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu with a salad. Sandwich wss really good. Juicy and portions were just right. DH had a french dip sandwich which he said was excellent ss well. The kids had chicken fingers and turkey dinner. Looks like they increased the portions and kicked in the juice with the meal. Glad they listen to customer feedback. Service was quick. Good job Mimi!

Stopped in here today for lunch. I rarely leave the office to grab a bite but today was one of those unproductive Mondays and I really didn’t feel like the frozen cardboard«lunch» I’d brought from home. Thus I found myself here in search of something different and hopefully healthy. At 1:00pm, the parking lot was sparse. I walked in the doors and I was instantly greeted by a rush of cool air(was awesome on this hot day) and a friendly hostess who asked me where I’d like to be seated. I was shown to my table, handed a menu and left alone. A few minutes passed … Another few … And a few more. Finally a waitress came over looking very surprised and asked if I’d been helped. Um … NO! Water would be nice. Lemon? Yes please. I also ordered the chicken salad on multi grain croissant with a Mimi’s house salad. While she was getting my lunch order placed in the kitchen, I looked around the restaurant and realized there were only two other tables filled. Both were with older folks. I’m talking over 70’s. yes I actually felt super young at that moment. I also watched multiple customers walk I the door and have to wait the hostess who was no where to be found. My server came into the dinning room several times to chit chat with one of the customers and his son. The conversation was loud. To loud for the dinning room. i could also hear way to much loud chatter coming from the kitchen. Finally my lunch arrived. It was good. Possibly a little salt but overall yummy. I’ve never had a multi-grain croissant but I have to admit it was tasty. Over all: food = 3 stars Customer service =. 2 stars «Might» return
