We ate lunch here today. Placing order went fine. The Thai chicken salad was very good. The Asian Sesame salad had minimal dressing. It appears the sesame dressing was poured straight onto the middle of the salad and went straight to the bottom; still was not enough to spread the flavors around when I stirred the salad. We have eaten at the Panera in Modesto and it was very good, definitely a much better experience than at the Gilroy location. The other mark-down for Gilroy is the table(only one available) had been cleared, but not thoroughly cleaned; I had to wipe the table for beverage residue and crumbs.

We’ve been here a couple of times. Really, noithing we had was particularly good. Today, though I saw two disabled ladies ignored by staff. These women, one quite old with a walker, and another younger lady in a motorized wheelchair, had to fend for themselves to get the chairs moved so they could sit. I was next to them, so I moved the extra chair to another table. Then, they were missing part of their utensils. Hey — management: teach these kids(and they are ALL kids) to open their eyes. If someone comes in on crutches, or with a walker or a wheelchair, make sure it is in the job description to ask if they want help getting seated! It hard for able bodied people to navigate the tablemaze. Check on them during the course of the meal!!! In other words, get a clue!!!

So I’ve been dining at this Panera for about 4 years since I moved to California. The food is delicious and the staff are kind and friendly. I’ve enjoyed meals here with family, friends, and a good book. I’ve also utilized the website to order pick up food and had a good experience. But today someone went above and beyond and I wanted to point it out. Madeline was the cashier that rang up my late lunch order today around 3:30pm. I order pick 2 as usual and asked for a suggestion on change of bread for my sandwich. She said tomato basil and it was great. I ordered a drink to get the $ 0.99 pastry. They had a few new pastries a «monster cookie» I tried the sample it’s divine. I’ll get to next time I want to treat myself. I order the other new pastry I saw a frosted heart-shaped sugar cookie(to go for my niece). She packed it all up and I ate my lunch in peace. I had an appointment I went to and placed the cookie in my purse, forgetting to place it on the seat so it wouldn’t get broken or crumbled. After my appointment I saw it was broken heart. I went back and Madeline was there I told her I’d broken the cookie and needed to purchase another of the same color for my niece as I had already sent a picture with a little I love you message. She packed me one and I promised to protect it on my way. She insisted I take it free of charge. I told her no my mistake I’ll pay. She laughed and said if I couldn’t give a broken heart to my niece she couldn’t either. I thanked her and asked her name so I can fill out the survey and write a review. Thank you Panera and Madeline(unsure of the spelling).

This was my first and last time ever at Panera and honestly first impressions are everything! I had no idea what to order since it was my first time eating at the restaurant but the waitress was so impatient with me kept trying to hurry me up to order and answered me with such attitude. Her customer service was the worst I had ever received. I wish I’d remember her name.

JUSTONEOFMANYENCOUNTERS… sigh As soon as I picked the cup up, I knew something was wrong. I actually contemplated this was a joke, but the deer stuck in the headlights look on the associate’s face said otherwise. Chai tea latte was so frothy, I barely had a SIP of real chai tea in the cup. This particular encounter was just one of quite a few avoidable scenarios which played out in real life. Take a peek: Me: «Excuse me, ma’am? Hi, can you please remake my chai tea without foam? This cup feels very empty. Thank you ma’am — hands cup back — I thank you so much.»((insert sincere smile here after double expression of gratitude)) Associate: «That’s the way they are. I can charge you for another one.»((Insert blank stare here)) :-| Needless to say, I got another one, without ¾ cup of froth and there was no extra charge = ALL kindly executed with my reasoning skills. Really? Did I really have to plead with this kid to understand the logic in giving someone a BADCUPOFCHAITEAFOAM?! Yes, I did. The enlightened moment she felt may have helped her be a better barista for the next chai tea lover — I’ll just go to Starbucks or make my own next time. Here’s my point. Panera, you are a well-liked brand. Why not spend more effort training your crew? I have been to this location countless times, but I always opt to order & pay online, just so I could walk in, pick up my order and walk out without having to deal with the lack of customer service in your establishment. Great food, love it… I will stick around for that.

I always enjoy coming to Panera Bread and the Gilroy one is hands down my favorite location. The staff is always nice and the food is hot and delicious. Great place for a light meal while shopping.

I’m hoping this review management to make some changes. The last 3 times I have gone to this Panera this month, I have been very unhappy. First I go to many Panera breads, because I travel for my job, plus I use them for 100’s of $$ in catering. The Gilroy location has now lost my business. All 3 times I came here there are 5 – 6 people behind the counter and yet no one helps me for at least 5−10minutes. The place is empty I might add. Probably the slowest quietest panera, I’ve ever been to. Then finally someone helps me. She says you get free pastry with your panera card plus a $ 1 off a pastry. I say ok what is allowed to order. She says anything behind the glass. I say ok a soufflé. Nope that isn’t a pastry. Ok how about a cinnamon roll. Nope that doesn’t work either. Ok how about a bagle. Sorry no. I ask what is considered then, because all of those are behind the glass. She says a cookie or a scone. No I don’t want a cookie or a scone. I say I will just pay for the bagle. She then rings me up. I pay. Then she covers her mouth and coughs as she hands me my cup for coffee and she says sorry I’m sick. She is very polite I must say. I did feel bad for her. After that she made my bagle. Sadly I should have said something, instead I threw it away. I didn’t want to get sick, I have a 1 year old baby. I must mention earlier this month I also saw an employee leave the bathroom without washing her hands. This time I’ve had it. This panera has lost my business. The employees need to be retrained on: customer service efficiency Customer service on their promotions Cleanliness And probably they need to be given the option for sick days. They work with food.

Omg I had the worst food experience here the other night. I ordered the tortellini Alfredo. It was a horrible. A few of the tortellini were cold while others in the bowl were hot and yet others were barely lukewarm. How does that happen??? I asked for something else because the tortellini with inedible. The salad I got to replace it was pretty horrible too. I will never eat anything at Panera again that isn’t an egg soufflé or pumpkin muffin.

Mac n cheese… pastries. Omg I need to stay away or I would be a fatty. Love the cozy fireplace and relaxed dining rooms. Almost like an upscale cafeteria in a cozy library kind of feeling. Comfort food, salads, treats… I miss it.:)

Great customer service, love the options that change seasonally. Like coming here to «eat good» and don’t care bout the prices for the freshness and not the same old stuff.

This is location is ok and I say this statement«loosely». The couple of times I’ve had a meal –dine in, I couldn’t find a table that wasn’t sticky, especially the booths. I’ve witnessed co-workers complaining to other or about other co-workers, and the customer service is scrambled with only one person manning a register — this is every time I go to this location. However, the salads, soups and paninis do not disappoint. I just get it to go, keeps me sane.

They have the most excellent customer service. Laura, the manager, is the best! The kitchen left off the avocado on my sandwich and to compensate me, she gave me avocado PLUS any pastry I wanted, FREE! Pastries are amazing, sandwiches and souffles are delicious!

I don’t get all the hoopla about eating here. This was my first time. I got the soup/salad combo. The soup was okay. The salad was okay. Really, it tasted like cafeteria food. I wanted to buy some bread to take home, but nobody came over to the bakery to help me. So, I left empty-handed. This is a place I wouldn’t go out of my place to eat at. Just two stars, for me.

Staff here are extreme friendly, except for a few newbies but whatever. The food is always made to perfection and I’ve had a little bit of almost everything, and there’s nothing to complain about! They have a free Panera rewards program where you are able to gain points whenever you eat there and once you reach a certain amount of points, you get a free reward – whether it’s a free pastry, free beverage, or half off a certain menu item. It’s great when you are a regular;) I also love that whenever you buy a full meal such as food along with a beverage, you are eligible to receive any pastry for only .99 cents! And let me tell you, the pastries alone are not cheap! Either way, .99 cents or full price, it is worth it because the pastries are so good!

This Panera location gets the job done during our LA trips. Service is friendly by the entire team, and ample seating is available. I seem to have a have a love/hate relationship with Panera’s food. Unlike some of the newer location, this place has an open dining room with lots of natural light. Don’t forget to sign up for MyPanera rewards!

They ran out of white bread and all flat bread. I ordered a chicken noodle soup with bread. The food was very bland and the bread was rock hard. Never going to Panera again!

Panera is a healthier alternative when you are dining out. Fresh soups, salads and breads. Their pastries look delicious but fattening. The apple crunch muffins are great. Panera listens to their customers and has returned to serving a half French roll with the pick two combos. Look for calorie counts posted on the overhead menu or pick up a table menu at the counter and take your time to decide on what you would like to order. Caffeine free soda, teas, smoothies, and coffee are extra.

We ate breakfast here one morning before we went shopping at the Gilroy Outlets. It was not crowded which made it a nice quiet place to get something to eat. I got a four cheese soufflé and it was good. I was a little confused about how I was supposed to get my food at this location but I eventually found my food. They called out my order, I did faintly hear it, but I wish they would have made it more clear, especially since they brought my mom’s food to our table.
