The best sushi I have ever had, and great restaurant. It’s more than I normally pay for sushi but I can see why.

Such a cute spot! We had the Crazy Monkey and House special. Both were good! The miso soup was fresh and the service was amazing! We definitely will be coming back for more!

Rolls are great, but you will have to wait for sushi rolls and food. Only one waitress and one chef when came for dinner. Reasonably busy. Really friendly people who are gilroy natives. Rolls are delicious and fairly priced but depending on your patience, may not be worth the wait. Worth trying to satisfy a sushi urge, but not my go to when other options in Gilroy available.

After reading reviews on this place I thought I would try it the fish and Sushi seemed so stale the restaurant seemed dirty and unkempt and all the lady kept saying to me was she was so ready to retire soon — maybe it’s time you shut your doors now.

The owners are always so welcoming. Service is great. The food is consistently good. I wish the restaurant was in a nicer location. At least there is always parking available.

Love this place. Ladies are super nice and make you feel right at home. Fresh and friendly. Just don’t be in a rush.

I almost feel bad about posting a review because the twin old ladies that run the place are really sweet but this place is not what it once was. Yes the service is crazy slow since it’s these two 100 year old ladies running the place but what moved me enough to write a review was the three pieces of long hair we found in our rolls. The lady brought my sushi roll to the table, I was about to dig in when I saw a long black hair sticking out of the end piece, before I could even get fully grossed out I found another hair under the tempura crumbs that garnished the roll. I called the lady over and very annoyed with me she said, «FINE! DON’T EAT THEN, I MAKE ONE MORE FOR YOU.» She didn’t take the roll though she just left it on the table. When she brought out the new roll I could see another hair sticking out and I told her, «this one has hair too.» Again, annoyed with me she just left it on the table and went to make another one. The other thing were the roll prices. When ordering she would hike up the price as you were ordering, she would say, «oh these old menus, prices more expensive now.» A $ 4 starter roll would get hiked to $ 7 and a $ 12 roll to $ 15 etc. I found this really annoying since I had been there many times before and was charged the regular price. If they indeed changed the prices then they should get new menus printed so the customer doesn’t feel like you’re trying to rip him off!

Second time here. First time the dragon roll was really good. Today I got the calamari which came out in 5 minutes after ordering. Batter slid off immediately, and calamari was chewy. Dragon roll still good, although service very slow.

We have lived in Gilroy for close to 3 years and never eaten here. What a mistake. My daughter and I both very much enjoyed our meal. I had 2 different sushi rolls as well as maguro and a salad. All were very good. My daughter has a bento box snd she was very happy also. The staff was very friendly. We’ll be back!

Best sushi ever. Fresh and delicious. We are from San Diego and for sure we will come again when we are in the area.

Our new go to Sushi place. The two waitresses are so sweet and attentive. The sushi is delicious. Favorite roll is the Fantasy Roll! But actually I haven’t had a roll here I didn’t like.

My son and I just decided to try this place out because we were starving!
The service is FANTASTIC! However, it doesn’t make up for the food! We both ordered the chicken teriyaki with California Rolls and a side of veggie tempura. The tempura was absolutely awful! I’ve never tasted anything like it. Then the chicken came. It smelled a little odd, but I unfortunately tried it anyway. The first bite was strange, it was completely cold in the middle. I checked it and it was completely cooked though. I thought it was strange because it was hot on the outside but cold on the inside and cooked? So I complained and the sweet waitress immediately said, «don’t eat it, I make new one.» She literally came out less than 5 minutes later with a side of teriyaki chicken on a piping hot plate. I tried it again and the same thing. I finally concluded that it was previously frozen and just reheated. Gross! My son had the same problem. I will never eat here again!

BEST SUSHI PLACE IN GILROY!
I’m a hard to please type of customer & I love food. My boyfriend & I are foodies. We travel all over the place trying out foods. We love to cook & know good food. Especially Sushis & Sashimi. We’re both Asian + Islanders who grew up eating raw fish and know when it’s fresh and prepped right. Pearl Sushi was the freshest! We both loved everything we had! Even the Salad was fresh! And we went in a few minutes before closing time and the Twin Sisters still let us in to eat pass their closing time. Great hospitality and just overall great Sushi! This will definitely be my sushi place from now on and will let all my friends know they should try the place out if they haven’t already :)

Excellent service! Food is great too. Not sure what to get? Just ask your server and prepare yourself to have everything explained.

Our family loves coming here. They have wonderful sushi, good prices and they are very pleasant. They also have great deserts!

Was good until their sushi chef left.
Now it’s just horrible from the service to the presentation to the quality. Won’t go back as long as the sisters are preparing the sushi.

I love sushi! When we moved here in Gilroy from Monterey a year ago, I struggled looking for a best sushi place in town. We have two favorite places in Monterey area but it’s a far drive to Monterey just to have good sushi. Till I see this sushi place next to the dry cleaners where we go to. I didn’t hesitate to try since the ladies were sweet and very friendly. What can you ask for, amazing sushi, great service, & not too pricey! We come here at least twice a month or more, or I’ll have it to go for lunch at work.
Favee: rainbow roll, mango sushi roll, teriyaki salmon, & ooh those Hawaiian ahi tuna salad are sooo good! My son’s favee, Philadelphia roll.

In a former life… I believe I was Japanese… It’s kind of because the way my body craves sushi and Udon… just kidding…
So as a Japanese connoisseur of fine foods… I have my favorite places that I love to go… And quite frankly… They are all over Santa-​Clara and Santa-​Clara County… I have been to different sushi places in San Francisco, Las Vegas, LA, lots of different places… So I feel like I’m qualified to rate this sushi restaurant…
The lady that is the waitress there is so sweet… And the sushi chef is so nice… I wish I could give them a very good rating just because of who they are… but honestly, and I do have to be honest… The sushi is only fair…
There’s often a great debate about true Japanese sushi and «Korean sushi»… And if I were to classify this restaurant as one or the other it would be the latter…
As far as price goes I think the quantity for the amount of money you pay is on the higher end… As far as ambience goes this restaurant is small and relatively clean…
I wish I could give them a better rating just because I like the owners… But like I said I have to be honest… I don’t go there for sushi anymore… But I encourage you to try it and write your own review until everybody what you think…

There was only one sushi chef working but he still managed to make our rolls in a timely manner. The older ladies that work there were kind of off with the customer service. My BF and I were confused if they were twins since one would come after another and they looked fairly similar. They were nice but could be more professional and sanitary! She kept leaving her hands (one nail deformed) on our table just to chat which I did not like. Also, she kept bossing the sushi chef around about the TV etc. etc. Great place for sushi, not busy at all. Maybe we can just sit at the sushi bar next time around :)
Ohh, and I love their Sushi «reef» on the wall behind the sushi counter! They added bundles of garlic to it as a nice touch as having their business in Gilroy, city of garlic. Nice…
