I ordered a ham and cheese flatbtead. The flat bread was hard and there was 1 piece of ham. It was the most pathetic sandwich ever. For over $ 6, I got ripped off. When I went to the the counter to voice my complaint, the girl at the register didn’t seem to care. LASTTIME I GOTOTHISESTABLISHMENT

Sad to say this place has been declining. The people they have been hiring are lazy and incompetent. No one is friendly here anymore and people just don’t seem to care what they’re doing. It shows in the food and the cleanliness here. Today my salad had zero dressing on it, with the ugliest pieces of chicken and salad I have ever seen. Honestly after the last few lackluster visits here I see no reason to return to this location.

I ordered a bagel to go. I was given a bag with a bagel in it and a tub of cream cheese. Had to sit down to spread the cream cheese, and by then decided i may as well just stay here and eat it. Just go to Dunkies.

The service has been quick. The lobster roll is outstanding and all the flat bread sandwiches are a great hit with me. Been coming to this location for over 6 years and I am never disappointed

NOT loving the new broth bowls. Was very excited to try them but the broth is too strong and the flavor is off. It should have been a slam dunk. I hope they rethink the recipes.

I have been to a lot of Paneras in my time and have never experienced such poor service at one before. I have been to this particular Panera three times now. In my first two visits, I figured it was just an off day and decided not to write them off completely. After my experience last night, I decided it would be my last time. For starters, they all seem to be very disorganized and confused about what’s going on. This causes everything to happen extremely slow. After I placed my order, I walked over to the counter to wait for my food. Although it was only me and my friend who had placed orders, no one was behind the counter in the food preparation area. After a good five minutes someone finally appeared but was doing something else. Another five minutes later someone finally began to make my sandwich. At this point more people had come in and were placing orders. They placed my sandwich on the counter but I was still waiting on my mac n’ cheese. My friend was waiting on a soup and a mac n’ cheese. While we were waiting, three or four other orders were ready for people who had came in after me and my friend. After another ten minutes in whole, our orders were finally ready. It seems odd to me that two such simple orders would take such a long time. There was also no recognition or apology from the staff about it. I chose to go to a place like Panera because to me, it is high quality fast food. If I wasn’t looking for a ready quick meal, I would go elsewhere. It simply defeats the purpose. My friend and I sat down and ate our meals which as usual were tasty. We were taking our time and were talking as we were eating. All of the sudden a large amount of people began gathering around us and talking and it became every clear they were all employees. There was a manager standing up and looking frustrated that there were customers around. My friend and I asked the manager if they were trying to have a staff meeting and she said«Yes». We told her we would go to which her response was«No I don’t want to kick you out». She was very nice and explained that the rest. had closed 15 minutes prior. My friend and I were completely unaware they were closed as there were lots of other customers still around. This became very awkward especially considering the manager was going to start having a meeting next to us very soon. I would’ve appreciated it more if the manager would’ve explained to us what was going on or kindly asked us to move/leave. Other restaurants give a «warning» when it gets close to closing time. Overall the food has never been bad but the service is off. I wouldn’t go back to this location.

Good ol’ Panera bread. Reliable and, in a way, a landmark in Glastonbury’s town center. It stays open later than lots of the other establishments, and there are always enough seats in case you want to linger for a while. Even when it’s busy, the line moves decently fast. The food is usually fulfilling, and the space is always clean even with the level of traffic it gets.

We had our first bad experience with Panera in Glastonbury. My wife purchased two egg & sausage sandwiches and a bagel. The bagel was fine but the sandwiches were disgusting. The sausage was as hard as a brick and the cheese was like rubber. The eggs tasted very peculiar. The sandwiches tasted like they had been heavily microwaved.

First off the food and service are great. However, there seems to be a supply issue that needs to be addressed. The last 3 visits have all included an issue with my order. Out of a certain bread or out of egg or something else that is out. The employees all have been very helpful but they should certainly be able to keep menu items in stock.

The food is good – Panera has good quality control, so if you eat at one, you’ve eaten at them all. But the service at the Glastonbury location is hit or miss. It almost seems like they do a better job when it’s busy. Often when there are only a few customers there, I’ve had the experience of waiting several minutes to have my order taken, even though there are several people bustling around behind the counter, looking busy but unsure what they’re supposed to be doing. It’s frustrating when all I’m getting is a coffee.

Panera has decent if overpriced food. The internet service is not great, for those who plan to work here. Service can be oddly bad during downtime.

Came here for a quick dinner, but it turned out to be quite a long one… We placed our order at the register, paid, and waited for our food. It was pretty busy, around 6:30pm on a Friday, and many people were waiting. After about a half hour, we got up to ask where our food was. They asked to see our receipt to see what we had ordered. We gave them the receipt and sat back down, assuming they were now making our food. Another half hour goes by and we go back up… we had now been there for an hour and we were pretty frustrated. We saw and heard others complaining about various things being wrong with their order, so it seemed like they were having a trouble-filled night. They once again asked for our receipt, but we no longer had it as we had handed it over after the first half hour of wait time. We ended up having to go back to the register and re-order everyone’s meal. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 1 was because, although this was a frustrating ordeal, they did the right thing and refunded us our money due to the 1 hour wait. Also, a nice girl came up to our table when we were done with dinner, offering us a free dessert item. We declined, but it was still a polite and appreciated gesture. I understand everyone is human and mistakes happen, so it’s nice to see some places still do the right thing to try to make it up to the customer.

If you’re coming for the coffee and food, great. Don’t rely on their wifi, slow and difficult to get on.

I would love to have the baked potato soup back at Panera, it’s my favorite, but maybe it’s not a soup they do over the summer. I love it in general, lemonade is super fresh, lobster roll that’s going on now is stuffed and yummy! Huge selection and it’s amazing they can handle such a large menu. Can’t wait to go back!

I frequent Panera often and this location didn’t disappoint. The lobby is quiet despite the heavy traffic that was there during the dinner rush and the food was the quality to be expected. The location could be a bit hard to find as it is nestled into a plaza where Glastonbury must have zoning laws that prevent color from being used. All the stores shared to same style and color for their signage on the outside. Keeps it classy I suppose. Overall a nice location.

I never really know what to think about Panera. For what is basically fast food, they seem to have real ambitions to raise the standards both of their ingredients and their combinations. On my most recent visit, they managed to get both of them right. The sandwich in question is the Turkey Bravo, which won a lot of points for a tasty spread, Gouda cheese, and perfectly done bacon. The bread, a tomato basil, gave it a very nice foundation as well. The counter service was very brisk — for some reason there was only one person at a register, but she kept that line moving — and both the deli crew and the barrista turned the orders around quickly. Add in a variety of comfortable seating options and free wifi, and you should have a winner. On the occasions when Panera misses, they don’t miss by much. I just end up feeling like this should have been just a bit better, as if they haven’t come up to their ambitions. But as a comfortable place to eat, drink tea, and get ready for the next item on my calendar, it works.

I usually don’t eat anything here. I really just come for the iced green tea Ex large as big as I can get it!!! But not today, I got cookies too, the short bread cookies called to me, speaking words of over indulgence, buttery, soft, yummy goodness. This establishment is just like the rest of the chain. Clean quaint nice. But back to the cookies and tea. this is all I really like here, maybe one day they will have a sandwich that calls to me, or a salad, maybe even some soup that well make my mouth water. Otherwise I’m gonna stick to what I like

One of my favorite places to eat in glastonbury! I love panera bread, i go there almost once a week. The staff is friendly and service is pretty quick. I love the ‘You Pick Two’ because you can have a little of each. The lemonade is really good too! Would definitely recommend!

This is a good Panera. Not much more I can add. You know what they do and what they have.

You can never go wrong with a Panera Lunch. I am a particular big fan of their half soup/salad/or sandwich combos. I’ve been eating the BBQ chicken salad with the black bean soup lately which is a GREAT combo. For days when I’m not going with the«usual» I am never upset with anything I eat. Highly recommended. The only downfall is that is can be mildly pricey for a lunch.
