Food and service were as good as I remembered. The bonus was when I was stupid enough to leave my credit card there, they mailed it to me that same day.

Wang Palace is not the place to go if you crave the best Chinese food. But, if you want above average food, impeccable service, excellent prices, and a perfect atmosphere to enjoy dinner with friend, this is it. Lunch specials are not over weighted with rice, a perfect balance of mpoteins and vegetables. And, most importantly, always served hot and never overdone. Vegatables are fresh and crispy, meat tender and tasty, and sauces perfect without being overly salty like so many places. Consistency, service, and top ingredients bring me back here often.

Horrible greasy and wayyyy too sweet. The General Tso was literally a thigh with sauce poured over it. We also got a couple of other dishes… really bad(and on two different ocassions)…This place was rotten. People should have to prove they know something about food before rating places… This was terrible. No Stars if I could… uuggh !

Hometown Chinese restaurant. The service is great and the $ 15.50 for a 3 course meal is of great value too. The wonton soup was good and also the broccoli /chicken combo. The ice cream is fabulous too.

What a great evening. 15 family and friends for dinner. They arrange to have us sit in a semi private room. I did make advance reservations. Everyone was happy with food choices. Someone got the Peking Duck with pancakes and sauce and raved about it ! The staff was very helpful and did a good job serving us even with the two small children. They brought over umbrellas for the kids, and placed them with the glass of milk ! The price was very reasonable. The food was hot when served. The waiter ended the evening with two large dishes of Icecream for all of us. We ended the evening with everyone reading the fortune cookies. Great night.

Haven’t been here in a long time! I remember why I missed this place — great food and service for a family of 4! Egg rolls and steamed dumplings were very good as usual. We had chicken lo mien, chicken and broccoli and moo shu chicken with 4 pancakes — everything was great and we brought home leftovers for lunch! Would recommend Wang Palace!

Wow. Super delicious egg rolls. They are unique, not just pork in there. They also tasted super fresh. We also enjoyed the l0 mein, fried rice, and dumplings. The dumpling were clearly homemade and we not as doughy as some usually are. All if the people working there were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Love this place for American Chinese and will definitely continue to pick up from here when I am in the Glastonbury area! Nothing super unique or put of this world but definitely a solid Chinese food joint!

Sadly, I need to update my review, as I was pretty disappointed with my last order. The beef with broccoli had very minimal meat in it. The prawns dish had probably about 5 or 6 prawns. The takeout box was half filled with lettuce, which is sneaky. Also, one of the dishes clearly used canned mushrooms. Beggars can’t be choosers, but I’ll definitely be trying a different Chinese place next time.

I have been coming here for years and I will continue to do so for many more, God willing. My typical order would be sesame chicken or beef, PF rice, egg roll, egg drop soup and of course a scorpion bowl or 4. I always compare all other Chinese food to Wang. Also, the joke«I love the taste of wang in my mouth», never gets old.

Their description says their food is «pleading to the ear», actually«sounds good»! Being a professional musician, I’m intrigued. Still trying to figure out what that means…#languagebarrier In the meantime, I’ll describe the experience of eating in, as we have never taken out here. The staff greets you immediately, and we have never had trouble getting a table. The place is clean and neat and comfortable, with proper table linens and dressed waitstaff. The music is Chinese and helps set the ambience along with muted lighting. Timing is rather quick, but you can eat at your own pace. Our water was never empty, but we were not offered more tea.(I’m sure we could have asked) The food? It’s exactly what one would expect at any Chinese food establishment. It’s neither greasy not particularly memorable in any way. It is good enough, but nothing to write home(or Unilocal) about. Price is fair & competitive. The portions are rather large, and we were able to easily split the one entrée along with an order of special fried rice, with added egg drop soup for the hubby. We even had a small amount left over! I always enjoy going here whether with a group or just the hubby. However, the actual food and dining experience though pleasant enough, is not what brings us back again & again. It’s a great location for us townies and you can get in on any Friday evening at the last minute no problem without breaking the bank. A nice added bonus is complimentary ice cream for dessert along with the Kung fu panda fortune cookies. In conclusion, if you want a basic satisfying & pleasant enough dining experience that won’t break the bank, you’ll find it here.

It’s easy to have a bad restaurant, but far more difficult to have one that rises above expectations. I have to say that this place did that for me. Stopped by for a recent lunch and found myself enjoying the food far more than I thought I would. The hot & sour soup is terrific. Very flavorful and I wanted to eat every last drop. The right mix of pepper and bitterness. The chicken dish I had was terrific too. Very hot and fresh without a sauce that overwhelmed the dish. Add some fresh vegetables and the dish was a winner. All for $ 6.50. A good deal for lunch. Been here long ago with friends and had forgotten about it. Won’t make that mistake again. It was good.

I only got take out, so I do not know much about the service of the restaurant. However, I can speak to the food I ordered, and there were some short comings. I got the General Tso Chicken with The Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The chicken was FAR from all white meat and was fatty and chewy. The pork in the fried rice was also fatty and untrimmed. The egg roll comparatively was pretty good. Now I want it to be clear I’m not running from fatty foods, if I were I wouldn’t have selected the items I had. That being said, I want to have the quality of white meat chicken and I don’t want to feel the crunch of pork fat when I take a bite of the fried rice. If they cut the corner of white meat for their chicken on got lazy with their pork, what they do with their other meats is not a question I will likely not return to have answered.

I’m a massive Chinese food fanatic and I grew up in Glastonbury which might make me biased towards Wang Palace, but in all honesty I can say that Wang Palace has the best Chinese Food in New England. This is a bold statement, but I’ve moved around up and down the Northeast, I lived in Boston for a while and up in northern Massachusetts and quite frankly nothing compares. Wang Palace is impossible to beat. First off, if you eat in the resteraunt the service is second to none. The waiters have been there for years and they are extra speedy, diligent and always very nice. Second and most importantly, the food is top notch and it still has remained so to this day. Above all I reccomend the Sesame Chicken, but the Broccoli and Chicken is great as well. The soups are what you’d typically find in a chinese resteraunt(Hot & Sour, Wonton, and Egg Drop), but something about the Hot & Sour amazes me each time. This place is excellent and if you are even the slightest Chinese food fan, it is a must.

Wang’s is a superior dine-in Chinese food restaurant. Great lunch specials that include soup, fried chips, and a generous portion. The vegetarian/vegan options of the menu are almost non-existent.

Somewhere, Beavis and Butthead are giggling away, but all juvenile joking aside, this is really good Chinese food. The wonton soup was better than most. The Beef with broccoli was a lot better than where I usually get it. The tangerine beef was delicious. The egg rolls were good, too, but didn’t have that in-your-face flavor I was expecting. Actually most of the dishes here, while really good, seemed just a little different than their fast-food competitors counterparts, whether it was flavor or texture, leading me to believe it’s probably at least marginally fresher than most places. The service was great and the place was clean, though the wallpaper made it look almost like we were dining in a hotel. We came in ten minutes before they officially opened and they not only let us in without a problem, but there was already one other person eating. By the time we left the place was packed, so it’s no secret that this is an awesome spot for Chinese.
