The management was extremely arrogant & rude after I asked them for accessibility to the bathtub for my disabled Mother. He said there is no HC room available and if I don’t like it, I can get out and go somewhere else! This was on Memorial Day Weekend where many hotels, inns & motels are full or at near capacity. We came to Glen Allen for two purposes: Mom wanted to attend a local & annual fundraising picnic event as well as visiting our dying family friend at a local hospice which he passed away about 48 hours after we left Richmond. The vending machines were down. The pillows were cheap & small, making the nights difficult for my disabled Mom. They don’t have any accessible tools such as bathtub stool to back up should the designated disabled rooms be unavailable. The wifi connections were terrible, the management denied that it was a problem, never mind the fact that prior to this stay, I stayed at many hotels & motels, only one hotel had bad wifi connection for my Macbook Pro. Today, Knights Inn Glen Allen rated as the worst wifi connection I ever had encountered. It did not help that many guests drank, sang & loitered outside of their motel rooms as if it was a crackhead motel or something. If the management was accommodating, I might have endure the stay but they were very rude and arrogant. Never again. I would not recommend this facility to anyone else. In fact, I would recommend others not to patronize this business.

Stayed here for one night, there was no hot water and the room smelled horrible. Additionally the WiFi is weak and I dealt with continuous connection issues. I recommend to find some where else to stay, any where is better than this place

If you want a cheap room, you get a bed and free internet. This was the absolute cheapest room in this end of Richmond with a discount from Hotel Coupons. The advertised room was not available, so I was offered the upgrade room for $ 5 more. My guess is this is a marketing ploy. The motel seemed mostly empty on a Saturday night. I suspect they never have the advertised rate room available. Still, it was a place to stay on a budget. The place claims to be recently remodeled, so everything was generally in good shape and clean. I considered giving the place three or even two stars. I gave this four out of five stars, not for the luxury and amenities, but because it was cheap and they delivered on that promise well. I expected the air conditioning unit to be below the window next to the door, but no, it was in the back the of room in the bathroom area. This was a plus. The air did not blow directly on my bed and the noise was a little muffled when the fan came on. I’m typing this review from a small, but adequate«desk». I carry an extension cord with me for the extra outlets so I can run the desk lamp, computer, phone charger, etc all from the same available socket. There is a Walmart down the street which provided sodas for my fridge. The room comes with a microwave, though I never used it. For dinner I walked into Aunt Sarah’s Pancake House next door, then left and drove to Hooter’s a few miles away. My room lacked a towel rack. I also had no hand towels. I did not suffer from this, but survived. I was surprised to find a decent bottle of shampoo waiting for me. The ice bucket had no lid. There were hangers in the«closet» and a three drawer chest to utilize if I cared to. The lights were good. I had a flat screen TV with HBO. I watched a movie on FX as I fell asleep. The picture seemed to be SD rather than HD. I don’t understand why so many hotels are like that. The bed was nice. The best thing was the internet. It worked and it worked well. I had my computer and phone both running on it with no password. My internet speed test gave me about 3MB download. The breakfast was a bit of a joke. I ate it to save a few dollars, so I was happy with it. There was coffee — I had tea. There was a half loaf of the cheapest white bread Walmart sells. There were some sugar glazed doughnut things, individually wrapped. And last, and maybe the best part of breakfast, was some orange juice. I do not think that you can buy powdered orange juice, but if you can, this is what it tasted like. Don’t get me wrong. This is what I was looking for and I would stay here again. Though honestly for the $ 5-$ 10 variance in price there are a half dozen other places nearby so I might try some of the others as well.
