We had the amazing opportunity to work with Donte in selecting tile for our kitchen and backsplash. He was so patient and knowledgeable about his products! Donte put several samples together for us after we told him what we were looking for. We have been back 2 times, and again, he was still very patient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He offers so many suggestions and always made us feel comfortable, even though we couldn’t make up our minds. We told told him our budget and he worked within our budget to offer us amazing choices! Donte is a true asset to TheTileShop. So if you need tile, please don’t hesitate to ask for Donte! You’ll be glad you did!

We live in Westham in a house that was in desperate need of a proper master bath (2016 standards). So, we embarked on a master bath remodel… hired a contractor and an e-​designer, planned the room, and started purchasing materials (you know the drill). My search for the perfect tile (a predominately white marble with gray veining to go with grey cabinets, mixed metal hardware, and freestanding tub– classic aesthetic) took me to all the known title stores in RVA– each one sold marble in their own unique color families, sizes, and price ranges (my absolute favorite floor tile was an über fancy template tile at Best at $ 100 s/​ft– crazy!!). However, The Tile Shop had the perfect tile for our project. Their tile came in all three sizes our project required (3×6″, 4×12″, and 2″ hex), was the most beautiful looking, and came in at the best price. Additionally, I found the staff at The Tile Shop to be very knowledgable, kind, and hard working. Examples included… Paul giving me the complete tutorial on all things heated flooring, Paulina playing with my young daughters while I made tile selections, and Donte (the store manager) who really went above and beyond to place our order and then get it delivered on schedule and exactly as ordered. He ended up having to order our tile from five different U.S. locations (tricky to do so that the tile arrives from the same lot and on-​time), even attempted to polish some pieces on his own when we thought the final three boxes of the 4×12″ tiles were going to arrive late (they ended up arriving on time), and calling me late one night with great news (the exact sills we needed to finish the shower and had been on back order had just been returned, still in the shipping crates, by another customer– we were able to arrange their pick up straightaway and have the job finished on schedule thanks to Donte’s attention). Visiting The Tile Shop is definitely worth your time– I’d recommend ordering your tile early (to account for any back orders as so many of us are remodeling these days) and feeling confident in working with the staff, most especially Donte!

Decided to add a back splash to my kitchen. Major project and thus begun my search for the «right» tile. I visited all the known spots: Lowe’s, Home Depot and a few small design places. On a whim I decided to drop by The Tile Shop for a view.
I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly (pretty sure they were on commission they were very helpful) and they have a few great perks in buying from them. 1) They have a great return policy 2) I love how they keep all your receipts (so you don’t have to track them down) and they will email them to you.
I found the tile I wanted they were able to order them for my install date with no issues. Everything I wanted was ready and available for pick on my order date. They have good prices and very good selection of tile. Next home project that involves tile will include a visit at The Tile Shop.
