We are frequent visitors to the North Conway area. We noticed this hotel on our last visit and figured we’d give it a try. We were staying mid week and noticed we were the only ones there so we asked if we could be upgraded to the room with a fireplace. The women at the desk said no and seemed irritated by our question. I also noticed on their Facebook page that they were offering stay three nights get fourth free, I was told that is only for returning guests that offer would not apply to us. There was no mention of that on Facebook but didn’t want to argue. The room was immaculate and our stay was nice. Will we return here? Probably not. Customer service is key for us. We did not feel welcomed at all.

Fantastic rooms, always clean, good amenities and always a good value. Book early around the holidays and event weekends like mud football as it fills up extremely quick. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff is always helpful and friendly as well. This is a prime example of how a hotel should be run. Others should take note. Five stars and will continue to come back as long as nothing changes.

What a gem! Quaint, pleasant and just plain cozy. We booked a room through under the impression we had a room with a jacuzzi and fireplace only to arrive and find out those were«suites» and we had a standard king bed room. Was still very clean and comfortable. The mistake was not the fault of the inn and I didn’t hold it against them however my boyfriend inquired at the front desk and we were able to upgrade for only $ 10 more! Never hurts to ask! Cutest room ever with jacuzzi and fireplace right in the room!!! Location is great close to North Conway town center and national state forest area. Honestly loved every second of staying here. Housekeepers were super friendly and front desk staff very helpful and informative. Ice maker and vending machines but no breakfast. The pool is heated but was still too cold for us in September! Will stay here again for sure.

We’re frequent visitors to North Conway, but decided to change it up and try staying elsewhere. Turns out, this was the least expensive place with a King Sized bed. This is our go-to from now on. The rooms are immaculate, it’s so refreshing when the simple things are ready to go. Whomever put this place together was on point… I’m an IT professional and noticed even the wireless repeaters in the hall are Meraki and perfectly laid out… so they even know how to hire a good IT consultant which is no small feat. My wife is a professional stylist and appreciated the Rusk brand soap products. We stayed into Monday, and witnessed other rooms carpets being dried out… as they actually must have shampoo’d them after everyone else checked out Sunday. A very good sign! All 3 staffers we met were very nice. It looks like an average roadside motel from the street, but the room was actually one of the nicest I’ve stayed in… at a roadside motel price.

I perused TripAdvisor for days looking for a cheap and well rated hotel and/or B&B. Unfortunately, since we were booking for a quick turnaround, a lot of the classier B&B’s were already booked solid. Trying to avoid a total dive and a Hampton Inn type-experience, we settled on the Golden Apple Inn. What a pleasant surprise! This little gem is located in Glen, just up the road from North Conway and just a bit south of Jackson. For a little more than $ 100 a night, we booked a great King sized room with a pull-ou sofa. We didn’t go with the jacuzzi or the fireplace because it was the beginning of August, but they are available too. The rooms were very clean, the hotel is updated and modern, which is surprising because it kinda looks like a dive from the road. Its definitely got a motel feel, but don’t let that fool you. The pool has recently been finished and the grounds are well manicured(see photos). Wifi is free(thank God, is that too much to ask at some well-to-do hotels?). We enjoyed that it was a bit more secluded and off the beaten path from the hotels in North Conway. It is still convenient to White Mountains, and surrounding attractions. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars are the walls. They are thin leading out to the hallway, which means at 8am, you hear all the kids running up and down the halls getting ready to go to StoryLand or something like that. Bottom line though: I would not hesitate to go stay here again when I am up in New Hampshire.
