They charged me $ 2.00 more than the normal market price for my burger, which is outrageous for a person trying to eat on a budget.
I like to order the Bacon Double Western, no bacon, because I find that bacon and BBQ sauce don’t mix (crazy, right?) and figured out how to make it a better quality burger — ask for the cheese melted onto it, and fresh onion rings. Mm, tasty!
Then I got my total, and it was nearly $ 8.00! For just a fast food burger (not in the combo)! Normally it doesn’t breach $ 6.00! I am not wealthy. I never write reviews. I have been wanting to start. I wanted to start with a positive, but a negative one will do.
The employee was a good guy. Not very friendly but rude either. He was fine. But the prices set by the manager are crazy! I found out that that combo is more than $ 10.00!

Its weird to review a fast food restaurant.. . but after doing a full reverse in their drive through today I had to. I have worked in the area several years and have come here for lunch every few months. Last time I went through the drive through, I ordered a Santa Fe Chicken combo (small). Pulled up and realized a SMALL combo is nearly $ 13 with tax.. . uhmmm what?!? Am I all of a sudden NOT at a fast food chain? Well, the deed was already done and I paid for that meal. I had totally forgotten about their pricing until I pulled up today. The cheapest combo on the menu is just under $ 9. I can go down the street to The Habit and get a great combo for about the same price but with a much better burger. I will not be returning to this location due to their pricing alone. Absolutely ridiculous!

***Really bad customer service and shitty food*** The drive through service sucked. The lady tried to overcharge me and got upset when I confronted her about it. She had attitude and had a second attendant take over. Then when the second drive through attendant handed me my drinks he purposely failed to secure the drink lids causing the drinks to spill when I took control of them. The burger was assembled really sloppy and the bread was stale. I had another bad experience at this location in the past and thought it was just a bad day for them. The consistency of bad service just formed my option that this place straight up sucks and should be avoided at all cost. I love eating burgers all the time but this experience has made me want to never eat at all Carl’s Jr. s’.

I went to the Carls Jr location on Woodruff Ave and South St in Lakewood, CA with my family. There was nobody there. I ordered the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich and it was terrible. It had a skinny little dried out chicken breast and was cold. It almost looks like they cut the breast in half. My sister and mom also got the same thing and their’s also had a skinny dried out chicken breast so it wasn’t just random. I have been ordering this sandwich for years and is one of my favorites so I know what it supposed to taste like. When a store skimps on the expensive ingredients and are inconsistant you loose customers. I noticed there were some people there taking notes and not eating anything. They looked like they might be management and were evaluating the store. I wonder why. I will not be coming back to this particular location. The staff was nice though.

This place is so awful. I ordered a famous star and they forgot to put the meat on the burger. I would never go here ever again.

Ladies and Gentlemen CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. I went by almost at midnight to get a spicy chicken sandwich and the cashier, Her name is Ninfa, wanted to swindle me of $ 2.00… Really, Ninfa? It may be late, but I know how much money I need to get back. I honked from the drive though and you admitted you short changed me and you did not even say sorry! At least have the customer service spirit and say «Sorry».
The chicken sandwich was worth every penny, but your attitude needs to be checked on.

I was charger for a large drink when I ordered a small. I hate cheese in my burger. So I ask for «famous star with no cheese». I was charged for a famous star with cheese, then removed the cheese.

I have a suggestion to Unilocal.Could it be possible to have an option of a «0» star? Some places deserves a «0». Especially this one. Bad service, bad food, bad everything! Been here 3x. Sorry, but this location just sucks at doing business. They don’t know customer service.

Worst service ever. Been here 3 times coz its nearby my house and 2 out of 3 visits they got our orders wrong. The Hispanic lady whom I think the manager didn’t even apologize when i came back to return the order she messed up instead she argued with me. I ordered the gluten sensitive guacamole thick burger, instead she gave me the regular one. I came back piss to return it and she has the audacity to tell me I didn’t say low carb burger after I showed her the picture of the sandwich I want. Gluten free! Gluten sensitive! She turned her back and told the cook to wrap the thing on lettuce and never said a work to me again. No sorry. She gots to go!

Hubby went out to get us burgers Sat night. The place we usually go was packed so he went here. Major mistake. The new all natural burger, meat was cold and tasted like it had been on the tray for ever between the biggest bin. Ever, all bread no meat. 1 tiny slice of tomato, 2 pickle chips, and 4 slices of lettuce.
Service here is hit or miss sometimes good with decent food, but lately so far down hill with quality we will wait at the other place for decent food.

I was deliberately scammed at this restaurant!
I had a coupon, buy one Mile Hight Bacon Burger, get one free. Except my «promotional» or «free» burger was just a Famous star with some bacon bits.

— The Mile High has fresh baked buns. my free burger had plain sesame seed buns from a plastic sleeve. i. e…Famous Star
— The Mile High has red onions… my free burger had the plain yellow onions. i.e. Famous Star.
— The Mile High has a thick ¹⁄₃ lb. patty that looks hand pressed and taste like high quality meat… my free burger had a thin gray disk that was tasteless. i. e…Famous Star.
To deliberately scam their customers, confirms the the lack of the ethics behind the counter and the dysfunctional culture instilled by the management.
If I could give minus stars, I would.

Drive thru staff was HORRIBLE. Inattentive, rude, and didn’t even listen when I placed order. Got two out of two WRONG.

Poor service! We went through the drive thru which said 24 hrs open but nobody was answering. So we pulled over to the window and the woman manning the drive thru gave us an attitude! What poor customer service! She must be at the back sleeping!!! That midget should be fired from her job!

Dirty and smells like grandmas house!

Make sure you check your order I have been going here for 20 years last 3 years my orders been wrong be specific on your order specially drive trough.

I haven’t went there one time and got what i ordered it always comes out wrong, the employees talk really loud and the place just feels very uncomfortable i wouldn’t go back there.

it feels kind of dum writing a review of a fast food joint, one of like three trillion carl’s jr.‘s on the planet, twenty of which you drive by every day, which doesn’t matter because they all suck anyway. «yes, but how might this one suck?» you ask yourself as you pull into the driveway, tempting fate, gambling with your appetite, even risking perhaps two or three sick days from work if you have indeed found the 24-​hour drive-​thru to hell.
ok, it may not be the river cocytus, but this is easily level 2 in your dante inferno guide. slower than congress and equally as efficient, this carl’s jr. is bizarrely dysfunctional and unable to get out of its own way in regards to food or comfort. i stood waiting at the front counter for my meal while the girl who had taken my order apparently wandered around the dining area with it and seemed surprised to find me still standing where had first met. lunch in hand, i found an out-​of-​the-​way table and opened up the double western bacon burger to find it basically dry of barbecue sauce. back up to the counter where another girl reaches back and pulls out two little containers of sauce, apparently pre-​poured and set aside for the people who actually notice. back to the table: fries are meh and the coke is too sweet and a little flat. however now that i finally got this burger the way i want it and i’m enjoying it, here comes my cashier with a mop and bucket, slathering the floors and filling the air with ajax and mop water. mmm, nummers. muchas gracias.
so that’s where that meal ended and that’s how this carl’s sucks.

Wow… I generally a fan of Carl’s Jr when I’m on the run, but this particular location was by far the worst I’ve been to. First off, service was real slow. I was on the way to the airport and wanted something quick and I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes at the drive thru window… and I was the only car there the entire time. Secondly neither of the burgers my girlfriend and I ordered had any sauce on them. At first we were both wondering my our burgers were so bland… no sauce will do that for ya.
Stay away if you can!
