Salt Bar at Ipic Bayshore is phenomenal for multiple reasons, but mainly for the prowess and aptitude of the stunningly beautiful and incredibly talented bartender named Stephanie. She is one of the most genuine human beings you will ever have the chance to encounter in the service industry. Don’t be fooled by her neophyte appearance behind a bar: she can make an amazing mojito that will rock your socks off. I honestly only stay when she’s on duty because I know my friends and I will be well-taken care of. If you’re skeptical, I dare you to prove me wrong. I will buy you a round if you think I’m being paid to write this review. She’s the real deal folks. Enjoy your experience and thank me later.

So if I could give less than one star I would. Slow service. Bad bartender. Didn’t tell me the dirty martini was blended with olives and blue cheese. Yuck is not the word. Also Unilocal freebie was not honored. She had no idea what the lolllypop was and didnt bother to check. When asked a second time she never responded. Too bad this place is in the Ipic theatre. They could do so much better.

I really don’t like giving bad reviews. Really really but this was Awful. Just awful. Strike one: checked in with Unilocal And got a reward. It was something called a lollipop. No big but Asked barkeep and she said only that she had never heard of that and walked away. Chagrined, I asked again when she came back to take our orders thinking she was joking or thought I was. Wrongo. She again said I dunno. Wow. What crappy service. Strike two: wifey suggested Martinis with blue cheese and olives. Well wasn’t expecting deconstructed martini(more like put shit in a blender and macerate). Now I am not a snob and will eat and drink just about anything but this was crap. Strike three: barkeep never came to check if we were happy with drinks. Never came back period. Perhaps me asking about the lollipop was too much for her… not going back.

How do you ruin a lovely evening at the movies with your spouse? You follow it up with a trip to this bar. 1. We waited seven minutes before either of the bartenders acknowledged us. They were too busy talking to a third employee from a different part of the complex to notice us right away.(Not entirely accurate, each made eye contact with us but were too busy joking to wait on us). 2. There is no beer menu, but there are some macros and locals on tap. 3. Getting your tab takes three separate asks, the first time the bartender acknowledged your request and said it would be right up. 4. Bartender proceeds to serve SEVEN new patrons at the bar without getting you your tab. 5. Bartender comes back by to wash glasses and you remind them of your tab to which they say«I’m on it.» And then they clean a series of glasses and wander back down the bar to serve new patrons without getting you your tab. 6. You wait for the bar to clear to ask a third time. It’s been approximately 10 – 12 minutes since your second request. 7. You’re given attitude about how«busy» they are, despite that there’s two bartenders working and one is standing around doing nothing. 8. You finally receive your tab and you find out that 3 rounds of beer for two people(Lakefront Riverwest and Angry Orchard) equals nearly $ 40. 9. You are not given an itemized receipt to make sure you’re not being ripped off and when you ask for one, the bartender acts put out and ignores you. 10. You pay, just glad to get out of there and try to find a menu online(there isn’t one) but you’re pretty sure the bartenders have just stolen from you. I live on the Eastside and I can’t think of a single place that would charge you $ 6 for Riverwest or Angry Orchard. Such a disappointment and dulled what was a nice time at iPic.

I was debating whether to even review Salt — because I didn’t actually get served on my last visit. But I realized that this wasn’t my first visit with lackluster service and noticed another reviewer had a similar experience, so I figured it counts. My husband and I frequent the iPic complex in which Salt is housed. We recently arrived early before a film, planning to have a drink beforehand. He sat at the bar for a few minutes while I used the restroom. No one served him. I joined him at the bar. Two servers made eye contact(one while standing directly in front of us) and one kept her back to us while slicing limes… one bar stool away. Not one«hello,» «I’ll be with you in a minute,» or «Welcome to Salt.» The bar wasn’t busy. But they just looked like they had forgotten that, well, their job is to serve customers. They spent a few minutes talking to each other, fiddling around with bar things. Maybe they were just playing the«If-I-pretend-they’re-not-here-they’ll-go-away» game. Thankfully, Bar Louie was across the hall and more than happy to take our business.

I have been here before with a group and grabbed drinks before bowling, service was mediocre at best, Since then i had not been back till i convinced my husband to see a movie at Ipic, We attempted to get drinks before our movie. The service was horrible Sunday after 10pm. Was not served because another couple the bartender knew walked up and he took their order, even though we had been waiting for 10mins. With two bartenders and a manager in front of us. No greeting or «i’ll be with you in a min» nothing. My husband and I walked away disgusted.

Nice bar outside the theater in the iPic Entertainment complex. It is a great location to get a drink while bowling or before heading in to a movie. There are many tv’s and today there were a fair number of folks there to watch the Packers game. Unfortunately, this place is usually staffed by only 1 bartender, so service can be quite slow. Despite the crowd for the game today, the bartender/waiter did get over to our table and take our drink orders in a reasonable time. The iPic area will get a new restaurant soon as a the old Ovations restaurant is undergoing remodeling to a Big Daddy’s BBQ joint. When I inquired as to whether they had billiards, I was told when the new restaurant is opned, there will be billiards. That is a welcome addition to this fun place to hang out.
