My friend recommended we meet here for drinks one Saturday evening. We arrived around 9pm and the place was fairly empty. On any other day, it would’ve been kinda sad but since we were all meeting to chat and catch up, I was glad it wasn’t packed. We sat at one of the lounge areas in the corner and ordered some drinks. I watched the bartender make my Moscow Mule and he was awesome! My boyfriend had The Famous cocktail and it was great as well. The bartender even poured water with an ice cube in the glass to chill the glass prior to pouring the cocktail in. Love the attention to detail. We didn’t order any food but my friend had the tacos and said they were pretty good for $ 7. The atmosphere isn’t that exciting but I would go back just for the drinks. Parking: 90 min free parking structure behind on Maryland.

They sure know how to make their drinks at this place! One of my favorite spots to get a nice cocktail in Glendale! The place is spacious enough for groups and the bar is large enough for those one on one sessions! I asked if they can make a Sazerac, which I don’t recall to be in their menu. They made it pretty darn close and enough for me to keep ordering it! Side note, I really like their garlic fries with aioli sauce!

Visited 6÷2÷16 We couldn’t stay for Happy Hour because they would not allow my underage child to sit with us. He said if they served food, then it would not be a problem. He was really nice about it. I did notice how dark it is there. Nice sitting area by the entrance. Major choices for beer(not my favorite). Other drink choices though. Happy Hour menu looks interesting.

Weird shape to the bar but a very cool vibe. This bar was very well lit. More than any other bar I’ve been to. I was able to see what everyone looked like before the lights come on at 2am and youre shocked by what the person you’re talking to actually looked like. Beer options are kind of limited. I didn’t know any of the beers so it forces you to try something new. Which isn’t always a bad thing. But it’s also not always a good thing.

I love the historical theme. Its like a Glendale Historical museum and bar all rolled into one. The bar tender is cool. I Live in Glendale and this is the first time here. I LIKETHE music. The Cherry lime Ricky is a great drink. Its a great spot. Locals who have lived here for their lives would apperciate the place.

Seating is pretty poor for a bar with a kitchen open until 1. Has more of a lounge type feel that isn’t conducive to fast service or ordering food. However they had a couple interesting beers and the food was decent. The disco fries were the better of the items ordered. The pretzel was disappointing but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy the wings. Overall pretty average experience nothing wowed me.

If you don’t know what type of drink to have or you have certain conditions like your tummy hurts, they have an alcoholic beverage for it! ;D Also, they have Connect Four and Jenga!

I had my 35th birthday here and it was awesome! They had yummy drinks and the bartenders were super sweet. My boyfriend had spoken to the manager to reserve a section for my guests to be able to sit and it was taken care of.

If you want to get hella drunk after work, this is your place. They put so much alcohol in such a tiny cup. It’s ridiculous. This is very much a huge gathering hub for people that work nearby. If you get tired standing around drinking, you can hop by next door to the moose den and play some games.

Would definitely visit again. Great atmosphere for a low key night. Not too loud so conversations are possible :) great food and overall good service. Loved the lighting and intimate décor.

This bar is legit. The employees here are awesome and really know their drinks. The specialty cocktails are bomb but if nothing catches your eye, let ‘em know what you like and they’ll make you something really tasty. Guarantee it! They’ve got some creative tasty food here too as well. Great place to grab a little bite, drink a few high quality drinks, watch a game in the background, and chill brah! Enjoy! PS… don’t expect drinks to be cheap. Maybe $ 12 for a cocktail. You get what you pay for here though.

My coworkers and I come here often for Happy Hour because this is one of the best spots in Glendale for drinks. Meter parking if you plan on leaving early or structure parking at the back(about $ 2-$ 6 with validation). This is not your average, low-key local bar because the décor takes you away from reality. Dark and rustic ambiance surrounded with wooden tables and stools and a friendly bartender with a curly mustache greeting you with a curious smile. Very period. They have sports game on TV early in the evening and random genres of music playing in the background throughout the night. On certain late nights, they have live underground bands of all sorts to eccentric DJs jamming their tune. Place is never packed so you’ll often find seats for a group of 2 or more(which I like). Their drinks are beyond amazing. Workaholics crave about this place because the bartender knows his drinks and loves making them. You can tell from the menu that Whiskey might be one of his favorites, and he makes them with such delight. If the exotic drinks on the menu don’t interest you, then tell him what fancy your pallet. He’ll fix something up just the way you like, and he never makes the same drink twice. Such an inventive guy. Prices vary depending on your drink and it ranges from $ 6-$ 8 during Happy Hour, and $ 10 for regular. This is a bar and not a restaurant so the caveat is that you are not going to get gourmet. But the little that he offers on the menu(fries, sliders, pretzels, etc) are perfect for everyone to share. Don’t plan to come early with your buddies because place opens at 5pm on the dot. Stressed out from work? Now go get a drink at the Famous.

Great atmosphere, there’s a lot of seats but not when it’s crowded. Obviously! I love them because the have mixologist here and they are open to help create or help you pick a drink! Plus, plus! It’s also a great place to come with friends, lots of standing room if there are any seats. And it can get a little warm but overall it’s nice for groups or even for just you and Bae. Enjoy!

I came here wanting a pretzel so badly and you had none! One star lost because I was so HANGRY all night! I still love you though. I was invited here by a new friend on New Years Eve. I came with my husband and my neighbor. We arrived before my girlfriend and her group so I was able to judge the surroundings on my own and I’m glad about that. I personally prefer to judge and not have someone tell me what they like about their favorite hangout. The bar was surprisingly chill for NYE. I’m used to people being drunk, out of control and generally obnoxious on NYE, but I didn’t experience any of this. As I mentioned, at 9:30 they had no pretzels. Arrrrggghhh! As a girl that lived in Germany for 4 ½ years, when I see pretzels on a menu I get excited. So I kind of started out disappointed. Instead my husband ordered the chicken tacos and my neighbor ordered fries. I sulked and tried to decide what to do about my bread cravings for the rest of the night. I can say that the fries were well cooked, but a little too sweet for my tastes. I prefer Idaho potatoes and I’m not sure if they use them or perhaps they have a salt and sugar mixture for the cooked fries. They weren’t terrible, I’m just sensitive to flavor and something was sweet here. The bar service was great. There are plenty of seats and the bar was clean. The music wasn’t too loud so that you can’t speak to other people. They also have a few board games to play to pass the time. My group sucks at Connect Four. The girl that did the best was drunk so maybe everyone else is stupid. I don’t know. I’m coming back Famous, but you better have pretzels!

Had an amazing opportunity to have catered beverages at the Unilocal’s Home for the Holiday’s Christmas Party. The Famous provided us Strongbow apple cider which was not to strong and not to sweet. The bartender was very nice, and very knowledgeable about the product. I definitely will be checking out the bar in person.

Very cool place, drinks are interesting! Food was delicious, or We were real hungry! Price was ok. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual, bathrooms were clean. Only one toilet for men and one for women. Parking was ok at the structure.

Ever since Neat Bar left Glendale many months ago, I have been trying to find a legit craft cocktail bar in this area, but I tend to pass by this place whenever I go to the Moose Den next door or Tavern on Brand a couple of blocks away. However, my boyfriend, my brother and I ended up coming to the Famous to try the cocktails and I am happy to say that this place exceeded my expectations. Although the Famous was not dimly lit as other bars, it compensated for a large space, which worked well for this vibrant crowd. The large projection screen and several flat screen TVs displaying a funny movie while we caught up on our lives over drinks were a great addition to enhance the entertainment portion of the Famous. Moreover, an area where we would pick up a couple of board games and bring them to our table to play further enhanced that portion. As for the drinks, they were delicately made and they were strong. I had a couple of drinks, one of which is the purple cane fizz. The fizz drink was okay at best, but the potency was high! By the way, there were small plates of food available to go along with the drinks, but we didn’t get to check on the food during our first visit Overall, the Famous — a legit craft cocktail bar — is what Glendale really needed. P. S. Parking is sufficient either in the free parking structure for 90 minutes or the parking lot near BevMo.

Solid bar located in the heart of Glendale, directly across from the Americana. The Famous is great for Happy hour, and they have a wide-ranging selection of both beer and mixed drinks. The ambiance is nice, and its central location means you can easily cross the street and explore the shops or grab some ice cream at the Americana. Based on its location, I am guessing this place can fill up quick on Friday and Saturday nights, so I definitely suggest you go midweek if possible. Also the bartender, Chris Raba, is excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. You’ll know him by his signature curled mustache. Definitely recommend :)
