The food was nice don’t get me wrong, the greek salad okay, but it took a god awful long time to get it. Also there’s no meal for a vegetarian. I got the plate but instead of the beef i got grilled veggies over the greek salad with hummus. The veggies were black from being burnt, and were of limited supply. Total cost: of food — $ 11.05 Left Hungry. Ehh, i shouldn’t have left my flamebroiler :/

Mixed feelings for me here. For a Luleh Kabob plate, I got a lot of food. I hadn’t eaten anything all day, and the plate gave me more food than I could possibly finish. Then again, post-tax it came to $ 12, which is a lot for a take-out place across from a community college. The food was mostly good, but it came with some fairly bland-tasting hummus and the luleh itself was too salty for my tastes. I think I’ll need to try this again, because I feel I might be missing something. I just don’t quite know where Wrap Express really carves out a niche, because while you get a lot of food, it doesn’t really feel like a great value. I figure most 3-star experiences should get the benefit of the doubt, though. I’d come back again, but I’ll probably order just a burger or a wrap rather than the plate.

There are good places, there are great places, and then there is Wrap Express. This place has outdone itself in its pursuit to become the best. They took fries, and then turned them into the most amazing things I have ever eaten. I haven’t had there meat plates or anything that comes wrapped like a gyro, but all else(especially the tacos) are ridiculous. Vegetarians, this will be your new favorite: mushroom tacos(it’s not funny how good they are). Healthy, well priced and delish. You can’t go wrong.

Gosh, I’m at such odds with this place. I love the food when they get it right, but so far of the 4 – 5 times I’ve been there it’s happened 2.5 times. My recommendation is to drop in around normal lunch hours. For some reason, it seems that is when I the best results. I think it has to do the with the carving of the beef on the spit. You don’t want to be the first customer to get the burnt edges after it’s been sitting there, continuing to cook for hours.

After I posted my review, I decided to follow up with the company and see if they had an explanation regarding my double –charging situation. They did not, except to say that it might have been mistakenly forgotten about the first time around, but that they would be sure and make it right this time. I must say that they were very earnest in their handling of the situation and completely followed through with what they promised. I cannot speak for the original situation. It happened, but I’ve been made whole(and then some). I like the food and want to give the place another shot. I suggest you give them a shot too.

Surprisingly this place wasn’t packed during lunch time. Then I remembered that the college was still probably not in session. Parking on the street is metered. Small parking lot that I never try parking in. This place is extremely modern looking. Lots of windows, electronic menu, big screen tv. It smelled fantastic! Sadly, they were super slow, although only two people working. Beef taco was to die for. Super delish beef with tabbouleh and this amazing hot secret sauce that is to die for! I ended up eating my friends taco and giving her most of my plate. Gyro plate was okay. I can honestly say that the curly fries topped with that ahhhmayzingg sauce was the best part. The gyros just didn’t taste right to me. Will I be back here? Most definitely. As long as they have that sauce and will definitely try something different.

Bonus little card thingy so you can get free food? Yes! Yummy meat combo plate that we can share? Yes! Crepes in case we’re feeling extra hungry? Yes! Parking available(at night)? Yes! Friendly service no matter how close to closing time you go? Yes! It’s just too yummy, too nice and too awesome. Wish this place was closer to DT Glendale, but anytime we can catch this place after work, we do. The different meats all taste great, and their sauces are an equally pleasant compliment to those. Last time he even threw in a free box of rice(thank you!).

I have been wanting to check out this place to see what it was all about. I have driven past it numerous times. This place has been open for nearly 6 months already. The place is small, but it has a surprisingly big menu. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner! After scanning the menu, I noticed that they have a big of everything: Middle Eastern, Mexican, and even Burgers, not to mention crepes, and waffles. So I talked with the manager/owner Ruben and decided to go with the Shawerma plate. I thought that it was curious that he gave me the option of curly fries or rice. I decided to go with the fries. I would not have guessed that the two go together but they do! They gave me a BIG plate with the bottom layer of curly fries, and then sliced shawerma on top and then some garnishes and this chipotle mayo sauce on top(which I was informed that they make the sauce there). Check out my picture of it. The shawerma was one of the best ones that I have ever had; perfectly seasoned, crispy yet juicy. It kind of reminded me of nachos, but instead of chips, it was fries. They give you a side salad that was pretty good too. Overall I was impressed with everything. The indoor seating is limited but the patio is perfect for those«good LA weather» days.

Quaint, cute, and very mod space with a handful of seating indoors. Plenty of space outside. I attend GCC, and avoid this place like the plague during lunch– SO busy! As they should be. Wrap Express has some seriously delicious food. I’ve been here twice– first time tried the beef shawarma wrap. Regular sized. Perfect portion for a light, yet filling late lunch to keep me through my night classes. Plus side– these wraps are wrapped in pita bread, not a tortilla-like wrap one would assume. It was ace. Loved all the flavors and the meat didn’t make me feel sick like most red meat does from restaurants! Second time around had a chicken shawarma wrap, and the cheesecake crêpe to go. The wrap was once again, delicious. I personally prefer the beef, only because I’ve realized as of late I’m a beef kind of girl! The crêpe wasn’t really my thing. The cheese and berry filling was good, but I’m not a fan of the crêpe itself. It was too thick, heavy and somewhat soggy for my liking. I felt it takes away from the flavors of the filling. I prefer thinner crepes like the ones from Crêpe Studio in Pasadena. Rose Hip juice is also great– a must try even if you don’t order the food. Wonderful service too. The girls at the counter are sweet and happy to help. I plan on making more stops here throughout the semester… Plenty of the menu left for me to go through! ;) PS– I would consider this more a sandwich place than a creperie; I believe the«creperie» title is a bit misleading. The wraps are what they should be pimping out! :)

I enjoyed a pair of delicious chicken and beef shawarma tacos here last week and I find myself craving a sequel. The tacos came loaded with well seasoned beef and chicken, each served on a pair of corn tortillas with melted cheese in-between the layers… simply awesome. The atmosphere inside is a modern take of a 50’s diner with red and white coloring, bright and clean. Stools and window bar seating is available inside, outside you’ll find plenty of tables and chairs to seat 4. One note… the branding and details throughout felt very corporate(right down the logo’d floormat) and I was surprised to find out that this is a one-off location. This is relevant to me because I work in design and always appreciate a place that has nice graphics. From my experience, an eatery that pays attention to their brand visually, will also follow through in their kitchen. The service was top notch and I thanked the friendly cashier behind the counter for her tasty recommendation. Bottom line, I’ll definitely be heading back, and if you’re looking for some tasty Armenian Mexican fusion cuisine, you absolutely must have a taste.

I’ve driven passed this place many times and I always end up not giving it a chance. Couple days ago a friend and I were driving home and were almost going to stop by and got scared off by a couple of the reviews. Yesterday I was at a friends house that lives close by and he said the place was pretty good. I was hungry so I said what the heck let’s finally give it a try. I totally expected something different. I always thought it was a more american style wrap place like turkey or chicken caesar wraps. Turns out it’s Middle Eastern wraps with pita bread. I got the #5 Lula Kabob wrap and curly fries as the side. The wrap was actually pretty good and the large was a good size. The large order of fries was actually more of a HUGE order of fries. The portions here are definitely hefty, at least for to-go items. I also like the ranch they have here, they mix in some garlic to add a nice flavor. It seems like it could be a good spot to hit up occasionally after work. If they were open super late I would choose this place over El Tap for some after drinking grub! haha

Don’t be put off by the outside of the building, especially if you drive up from the rear. This is a darned good restaurant. I bought a groupon a few months back and finally got around to using it yesterday. And had a #4 Beef BBQ Kabob which was marinated beef, an nice middle-eastern salad, some hummus, a couple of super fresh warm pitas served with garlic butter. I chose the brown rice(instead of french fries) and it was all first-rate. i had arrived about 10 and the super-friendly clerk told me that they were in breakfast mode until 11:00 a.m., but took the order and i went out to the patio to make a couple of phone calls and drink my Diet Pepsi).: A few people who came in after me began to get their lunch orders, and I was just about to go in and see what the delay was, when the waitress brought my food, a smile, and a sincere apology that I had to wait so long. Five minutes later she was back with a complimentary Nutella crêpe as a gesture to let me know they delayed me. It wasn’t expected, it wasn’t necessary, and it didn’t even get them an extra star. They were already a 5 in my book.

We pass Wrap Express everytime we go play softball up at the Sports Complex. As I drive pass, I always notice that they open pretty late(10pm) on weeknights for being right next to the college and residential area. I was pretty impressed with the little nice restaurant and their outside and bar seating. The place itself is pretty small, but why not sit outside on a nice warm summer evening? The food was pretty good. They serve up Middle Eastern wraps and plates(Lula Kebabs, Shish Kebabs, etc. For a small place they do have a lot on their menu. I’m coming back to try their crepes soon as suggested by their friendly and always smiling staff. Good service, plenty of parking and pretty good Middle Eastern wraps and plates! And thanks for not kicking us out since we walked in kind of late and close to closing. The prices are pretty reasonable considering they probably cater to the starving college students from GCC.

My addiction to Shwarmas/Doners/Durums/Gyros/Kebabs(they’re all similar) started in Amsterdam… which is where I had the best one ever! It was even better than the«coffee» shops and red light district. Haha. Kidding! Anyway, doner kebabs and durum kebabs are all over Europe thanks to the Turkish and Middle Easterners. These doners/durums are huge, tasty, and cheap. Perfect for the backpacking traveler! Anyway, how does this tie into Wrap Express? Well, since traveling around Europe, I crave these darn things all the time and have been on a mission to find one that tastes similar! Since Wrap Express claims on they’re website they serve the fusion of «Middle Eastern/European» food, I had to check it out. Oh and of course I thank Groupon($ 6 for $ 12 worth) for making sure I discovered this place! :) So the deets on the food and such: First, the service… after reading the website I expected this place to be a hole-in-the-wall type joint with friendly welcomes and so on… but not really. The service is so-so…maybe I expected too much after checking out the website. They vaguely greet you and aren’t very helpful if you have questions… but whatev, I came here to grab my food and go. I ordered the large rotisserie chicken wrap($ 6.95) and the regular size chicken shwarma($ 4.65). Both come topped with diced tomatoes, cabbage and onions with garlic sauce. I gotta say, the rotisserie chicken, although tender, was pretty tasteless… luckily it had garlic sauce and some veggies to add a little flavor. So I would definitely NOT order the rotisserie chicken again. However, the chicken shwarma definitely made up for it. It was pretty darn close to my European obsession! This chicken was tender and flavorful. Exactly what you would expect it to be. The wraps aren’t tiny, but I did expect them to be a little bigger. I’ve been other places where for the same price as the«regular» size it is WAY bigger. Wrap Express kind of skimps on the meat… and the veggies come to think of it. The«regular» size just isn’t worth it so I’d upgrade to the«large» for a couple bucks more. Overall, if I was in the area I would go back to Wrap Express for the shwarma even though it isn’t exactly my European/Turkish/Middle Eastern durum or doner kebab. What can I say, I have high expectations. :)

This review is for their Crepes. Zero stars? If there was an option, I’d do that. SKIP and I say it again, SKIPTHISPLACE if you are in the mood for crepes. I Unilocaled this place and it seemed like something worth trying. I completely went out of the way to visit this place on a hot Saturday afternoon. I got there there was only myself and my dad and 2 other people. I ordered the Cheesecake Crêpe and my dad had the Strawberry and Banana Crêpe. Note: there were only 4 of us. I don’t know what was going on behind that counter but it took about 20 – 25 minutes for our crepes to get served. Seriously??? On a Saturday afternoon with 4 people, it took you guys 25 minutes? How do you handle it when school is in session across the street?!? Also, right around minute 15 my dad got up and asked for a follow-up on our order. The stocky guy with the side burns and mustache showed attitude and tone towards my father. «Well sir, we cook that thing and it takes a while. Just wait and we’ll bring it to you.» Then he heads out to his car and leaves the place. That thing?!? That thing that is taking 15 minutes to make is seriously not worth it anymore. 25 minutes later, they bring our food in take-out boxes when we had mentioned that we are dining in. Okay, that’s fine. I had a bite of my Cheesecake crêpe and I had to spit it out because it was gosh darn HOT! Were they planning to burn my tongue off? I figured, well, I’ll just let it cool down a bit. So now, my dad takes a bite of his Strawberry Banana Crêpe and damnnnitttt… it was not even real strawberries!!! It was jam! Jam!!! I kid you not, that stocky guy came back with a grocery bag that says Ralph’s and a very noticeable newly purchased REAL strawberries. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYGOINGTOTHISWORTHLESSPLACE.

Not bad for wraps! Of course I was skeptical when someone told me that the food here was amazing. Uhhh, wraps? Come on, I can wrap meat in a tortilla any day, pshhh please. I guess I looked confused, because the workers immediately asked if it was my first time, and as I shyly nodded, they went full speed through all the different items, their personal favorites, and all the garnishes that would accompany each meat. I settled for the rotisserie chicken wrap combo that came with a garlic dressing, diced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions, along with a side of curly fries and a drink. It was pretty tasty! The chicken was soft and flavorful, and the veggies, fresh. Loved the curly fries… crunchy and old-school, took me back to the elementary school cafeteria. And plus, since I already had my veggies, totally didn’t feel guilty eating these greasy morsels :) Definitely will be hitting this place up again. Also, check-in and get a free home-made rose hip juice. Free? Sweeeet.

The Beau and I came here on a hunger whim. We wanted to try something new. Luckily Wrap Express is only a 5 minute walk away. I enjoyed my beef shawarma paired with ring fries and a drink. I think that this is an awesome healthy alternative to the McDonalds a few seconds away. The staff was friendly and quick. Their iced tea is homemade and the setting is über mod. :-). They even have a television there to divert your attention from your short wait.

I don’t think I’ve tried enough of their food to really write a review, but I’ll probably be updating sometime soon because I WILL be going back. The reason that I’m writing one now is to share with everyone how AMAZING and TODIEFOR their dressings/sauces are. I was blown away. My friends and I just got large curly fries with ranch and chipotle sauce. It’s super cheap and they give plenty for three to share. The fries were«legit curly fries,» as one of my friends said, because ALL of the fries were pigtail curly and had a perfect crunch to bite into. Their chipotle sauce was a tad spicy, but still ~yummy in my tummy~. But OMG their rancchhhhhhh. It haddd to be homemade. It was amazing. I don’t even know where to begin to describe how delicious it was!!! If it weren’t for having to keep to «ladylike manners» outdoors, I would’ve licked off every drop of it. GOGETSOMERANCH!!!

The staff at this little wrap joint is incredible — they really want to make a good first impression as a new business, and it’s working! I am greeted as a valued customer each time I come in. They recognize me and even remember my previous orders! I was just made aware that all their dressings, beverages, etc. are HOMEMADE, and you can definitely taste the effort put into their creation. In my 5 years going to GCC, I have watched several businesses come and go at this particular location — but I think this one is here to stay.(I hope!) PS. Try their veggie wrap with bleu cheese dressing on it — TODIEFOR!!!
