A very fine St. Patrick’s Day feast at Ed’s! Corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes with horseradish sauce. Delicious!

Finding that, while their food is good, their prices are not only way too high for what they serve, their on-line menu is very inconsistent to the prices charged when served —(ie: fries come with a particular on-line item, but then we get a separate charge of a ridiculous price for one little order once the order is served)? Really like the food, particularly their breakfast menu, but I have no plans to order from Eds place again.

Visiting from out of town. Got the Louisiana Sausage link breakfast. Perfectly spicy and flavorful. Great little hole-in-the-wall place in downtown Glendora. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Ed’s Place! To me it’s the perfect breakfast/brunch destination. Cozy, friendly and fantastic food. I usually get the Tuna melt but the omelettes and egg breakfast plates are delicious as well. Whether sitting at the counter, in one of the cozy booths or in the outside seating area I always have wonderful experiences here. Seating is intimate so it’s not ideal for large groups but excellent for couples or small families. I highly recommend

Really good, traditional breakfast served in a cute, clean and friendly place. Attention and care in the food is definitely felt. No frills, easy going and great value. Eggs and potatoes cooked perfectly

Me and a friend happened to walk by and I’ve always been a fan and of «Hole in the wall» type food spots. This is an example why. Service was awesome. Very friendly and inviting. Food was quick and absolutely delicious. I had the Louisiana sausage plate and the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were awesome, and the sausage was super spicy the way I LOVE it. And thank you whoever made my eggs, Perfectly cooked over medium. I will be returning and next time with a few of my friends and family.

This place is very unassuming from the outside. However, the food is among the best in Glendora. I always go for breakfast and have enjoyed a variety of favorites. Their food tastes fresh and service is great. It is kind of small but they do their best to accommodate all parties. I would definitely give it a try!

I cannot review the food because we didn’t get to sit down and try it. First of all, we were completely ignored as soon as we walked through the door. The inside was full so I didn’t think much of it. But when the employees started passing us by and looking at us several times without saying a word, I began to feel like we were perhaps unwelcome. After a few minutes new customers coming in were offered the outside area getting seated before us! I tried getting the employee’s attention but they kept just passing by. All the meanwhile the servers were making chitchat and being completely friendly to the customers seated at the bar. Finally I stepped a bit in the way of one waitress, the only older one, to say excuse me and she looked pass me and began to speak to somebody behind me, then continued to walk faster as she got closer to me, and completely passed me by. This was beyond bad customer service. I can say with certainty that(at the very least from this one older employee) this was also racism. Now even if I am somehow wrong about the reason we were ignored, this place really needs to demand better customer service from its employees at the very least.

Normally I don’t find it necessary to review restaurants. I’m a server myself and understand that there a bad days, the last several times I’ve gone into Ed’s place for the service has gone downhill I completely get ignored and the prices keep going up. I will not be back again, so disappointed.

Have to repeat it… there is not much to screw up in the way of cooking eggs, hash browns and toast, but the attention to detail REALLY set this place apart. Eggs are cooked perfectly over hard with no burn marks, the hash browns I ordered extra crispy came exactly that way, the CFS was put on top of the gravy rather than smothered in it and the toast was perfect… great coffee and excellent, very friendly service topped off a good breakfast at a nice location. Ed knows what he is doing in the kitchen and it shows. I wish he would open once in a while for dinner. My guess is that he would put out some great grub. I missed her name but the receipt shows server #0005…great service, very friendly and has the best smile and laugh in the place. Nice job! Last but not least, the place is filled with aviation décor… not a bad plus for those of us who like planes.

I just LOVE this place. My family and I try to come here at least once a week. There food is just delicious and it gives you that good homemade cooking feeling. A must have is the chicken fried steak!!! I think we all order it when we come. There prices are also old fashioned… meaning priced just right. You won’t pay $ 12.99 for a pair of eggs. The only negative side, which doesn’t really bother me, but it does is some of their staff. In my opinion, they could be a bit friendlier. If their food makes you feel right at home, their staff should as well. Other than that, this place is one of my favorites in town.

Ed’s Soups are the best; apparently the flavor of the day is Ed’s surprise, so call(626) 336‑6630 to find out the soup treat of the day and also, their Shakes, GREAT! This has been the Captain’s Report on a pleasant visit with friends. Captain~

My friends and I finished up a hike and were starving so we headed over to Flappy Jack’s for breakfast. The line at Flappy Jacks was WAY too long and we were WAY too hungry so we looked on Unilocal for help. We found this place and weren’t sure what to expect, but reviews were good and we were starving so we decided to come here. We were so glad we chose to check Ed’s Place out because we were all blown away by the food. I shared two dishes with my friend. We ordered the top sirloin steak & eggs: new york steak, two sunny side up eggs, country style potatoes, and biscuit & gravy. We also ordered what I believe was the Hobo omelette(sans bacon) with hash browns, biscuit and gravy. Everything was amazing. Even looking at the pictures I took of the food makes my mouth water! After everyone was finished with their meal, we all wanted a small portion of a Belgian waffle. So we ordered one waffle and split it between four of us. Even the waffle was as good as it gets. Soft, but slightly crispy at the corners. I’m drooling just thinking about it. I can’t wait until I have the chance to eat here again!

Came here a second time for breakfast and continued to be impressed by the excellent service. Wow, we are treated as part of the family! I love the 1940’s décor and music… A blast from the past of WWII. A couple tables outside if you want to enjoy the weather. We’ve tried a few different omelets and the California burger. My friend said, «I’ve been to Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant and this burger beats his hands down with flavor for ¼ the price!» Their fries are amazing and I’m not a big fry person. Small restaurant… Look for the umbrellas and that’s it. The menu says«you’re found us» because if you blink, you’ll miss this gem. Both times I’ve come in there are a lot of people in and out(great sign).

Cute place for breakfast and brunch! It has that old coffee diner place feel and that is kind of what I picture when eating your typical bacon eggs and hash. Although, I went a different route and tried their Benedict($ 8.95 right now) and it was pretty good! It satisfies my craving of Benedicts haha. I got home fries as a side and let me tell you– they have the best home fries! It’s not cubed like most diners, they’re more like slabs of potato and just crisped to golden brown it was perfect. As for service, it was very feel at home type of deal, but still catered to your needs. My suggestion: try the Benedict

Ed’s place is such a cute little dinner tucked into downtown Glendora. You could blink and miss it! They are strictly a morning/lunch place but they serve breakfast all day! They have about 8 booths to sit in and the atmosphere feels like you have been taken back 20 – 30 years. The old wooden panels on the wall, old airplanes and photos. This place is so adorable! They also have options to sit along the bar or sit out side. Despite the limited seating I have only had to wait 10 – 15 min at most to ever be seated even on a Saturday or Sunday during prime brunch hours. The breakfast is classic delicious diner food, prices are cheap and this place is a favorite for my hubby and I!

This place is really a Hidden Gem! Tucked away in a small front in old town Glendora, a small diner style breakfast joint. Ed’s captures the 1950’s style all the way down to the music. Reminiscent of a time gone by, with grandparents with their grandchildren too young for grade school enjoy breakfast together, to the old timers sitting alone with a newspaper and coffee at the counter as you walk in, this place will provide the perfect niche for the old soul like myself. As for the food; All the servers seem friendly and provide quick excellent service. They all seem to be well known by the locals. I ordered the steak and egg special, ’twas quite enjoyable, considering I was craving breakfast food inbetween my lectures at school. Overall the food was great, and coffee was a bonus as well. I’d definitely recommend this place; but not to everyone, I want this place to stay a small hidden gem for my own enjoyment

This place is ok. The staff is nice. And the is place very cozy. Very down home feeling. We ended up here after being told there was an hour wait at Flappy Jacks. My son is diabetic and needed to eat ASAP. We sat at the only large table, so if you have more than 5 in your party, beware. Better for parties of 1 or 2. The décor has is an airplane theme. Not very eye catching. But I assume most ppl that come here are locals and long time customers. Ok the food. I got the chorizo scramble– eggs scrambled with chorizo & topped with jalepeno, rice, beans and tortillas. I was warned it was spicy and it was! Son got a two eggs, polish sausage, hash browns and biscuit. His plate was cleaned in two minutes. Portions aren’t that big. None of the items on the kids menu has meat!!! So I had to get babygirl a regular breakfast, which was just enough for a 7 yr old(Like I said. Portions aren’t that big) I sampled her home fries and they were good. My sister got pigs in a blanket and the sausage were the big, hearty links. She said they were tasty. Kids received free refills on their drinks. My portion of the bill came up to $ 30(Wish the wait at FJ’s wasn’t so long…) I’m rarely in this area so I don’t know how much my review counts. But our visit was ok. If you’re a local, stop by. Not worth venturing out to.
