Perfect meal for a lazy Sunday. The pastrami dil is always on point and the portion of fries is never in doubt. All washed down with an Orange Bang makes it perfect! Just add great company!

The Hat has the best pastrami and chili cheese fries. The drinks are all you care to drink at this Hat location. The grilled cheese is really good, too. You can also order pastrami atop of you chili cheese fries.

Good burgers, good food, good value! And, they definitely don’t hold back on their fries. Small fries are plenty for 2 – 3 people.

Omg! The size of a small fried is enormous! That alone could feed a small village in Africa! The pastrami is excellent! Since this is my first visit it’s awesome and delicious!

Great pastrami, excellent chili cheese fries, and huge portions are a given, but they’re also really accommodating and more willing to work with good allergies than i had expected. Great job, The Hat! A fantastic place to get a good, huge meal at a reasonable price.

This is my go-to spot whenever I have a hankering for pastrami. The servings are generous and the food is delicious, what more could I ask for? An order of small fries is a joke, they throw in that small tray and pile on the fries. Yaaasss, my kind of place. My favorite is the pastrami burger, aw yeeah.

I’m forever yours, The Hat. Forever. I’ve been going to the Hat since I was little so this review is being penned by a Hat vet. My main choice is their Pastrami. It’s not greasy and the thin, abundant slices make for a delicious sandwich and/or over their famous chili cheese fries. I also like their beverage choices(orange bang and piña colada, too) and even the cool row of condiments. There is something for every variety and persuasion. When you walk into this Glendora location, I can assure you you’ll see every age, every color and creed. Plus, the restaurant has that golden age feel of the 1950s and 1960s that is nearly extinct in this area(look at all the construction). With inflation, the prices have gone way up since my younger years, but the quality is the same. The bites at the Hat are etched in my mind: fresh, well-made, delicious hot dogs, fries, burgers, and sandwiches. The Hat is one of my favorite places in Glendora. I’m pretty sure it will be one of yours too!

The Hat is one of those wonderful Southern California institutions that I must indulge in from time to time, I have been to other locations(Monterey Park and Brea) but I have been a steady customer at the Glendora location for years. Spacious parking, plenty of seating inside, picnic tables outside, a drive thru, clean and very good food keeps me coming back year after year. You order at the counter. You then go find a table and wait for your number to be called. No, this is not a full service restaurant, Usually the wait for your food is reasonable. Your food is cooked to order. Not the typical fast food joint that cooks up large batches of burgers which are left to dry out while basking under a heat lamp. When you pick up your order, you also need to help yourself to the packaged condiments that are available in large bins. Ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, etc. I have had hot dogs, hamburgers, chili cheese burgers. pastrami burgers, pastrami dip sandwiches and tons of fries. I have never been disappointed with the food. The portions are huge. One small order of fries is enough to be a side order for three adults. This is no exaggeration. I recently went with my family I had the pastrami dip since it had been awhile since I last ordered this. It was better than I remembered. The pastrami was sliced paper thin and very flavorful. The fries were really good. Yes, they are frozen but they taste very good. Oh, try the Orange Bang. I usually have iced tea but I got the Orange Bang last time. I am now a fan. We did make a rookie mistake during this visit. We ordered a large order of fries for three people. We did not even come close to finishing that order of fries. The staff are very efficient and not rude. I cannot say they are friendly since they basically take your order or give your food and say very little. I highly recommend this location of The Hat. Check out other reviews or their menu to get an idea of what else they offer.

It was my first time visiting this hat location. It was very clean they had just opened up for lunch. My fiancé highly recommended the French fries with chili cheese pickles and tomatoes. Wow!!! These things were massive!!! Definitely enough to feed four people. Very tasty I love the pickles added to it. We also got a hotdog each. He got his with chili & I got mine with mustard relish and onions. It didn’t have the flavor, I’m used to. I wont get the hotdog again but they do have pretty good pastramis, cheeseburgers and tamale pie’s. And the french fries with gravy sauce is pretty amazing too!!! You won’t be disappointed with those either. All in all, fast good hot food, when we have another cheat day in the future, well probably come back.

I love coming to this place. Being hungry is a must when you come here! I’ve gotten chili cheese fries with and without pastrami, cheeseburgers with and without pastrami, fries, pastrami sandwiches in the past. Portions are humongous! I have a big appetite, but cannot even finish their small fries when I order it with a burger or sandwich. Their burgers are good. The beef is done right, not too over cooked and is still somewhat moist. The pastrami while good, isn’t as flavorful as other places. The pastrami still has good flavor, just mild. I come here when I’m craving chili cheese fries. They are so generous with both the chili and cheese… And of course fries! I’m glad they’re open late so satisfy my fatty cravings.

We have been coming to this location off and on for a few years and it’s pretty consistent. They are known for their pastrami sandwich. They call it a dip, but don’t give you anything to dip it with. I’d like some Au jus to add even more flavors to the sandwich. It’s good, but I prefer less fatty pastrami. We’ve ordered their chili cheese fries which are a heart attack on a plate, but they are sure good to snack on! The onion rings are perfect, but be warned: The portions are huge! If you can eat an order of fries or onion rings, you should probably go for a hike afterwards. Sit outside if the tables aren’t full and enjoy the breeze!

Happened to be in the area and Unilocaled for places to eat and The Hat popped up. First thing I saw was famous pastrami sandwiches and I knew we had to try this place out. We had to try a little bit of everything. So we ordered the roast beef w/au jus, bbq beef, chili dog, and of course the famous pastrami. Oh and a small order of french fries which was huge because it fed all 6 of us and there were still some left over. This place did not disappoint. Everything was great. Can’t wait to come back & try the chili cheese fries w/pastrami.

Very nice place with good customer. The pastrami is thinly cut and very tasty. I had the pastrami burger which came with pastrami and a burger patty with cheese. Super stuffed! They are very generous when it comes to their order of fries which are freshly made so are super hot, so be careful.

$ 8.99 for a meaty Pastrami dip sandwich. Nice salty meat and soft bread. it can get a little messy. Fries and rings portions are big. Plenty to share. Drive through can get slow. It’s heart attack food so can’t eat this all the time, but damn it’s good.

So I’m coaching down in SoCal this weekend at citrus college, and what do I see when I open up my Unilocal app!?! The Hat ! Well that said I had to go because it has been a while. Ok so the food… I got the world famous pastrami dip! It is always so good, it was fresh, and delicious. I pretty much judge all other pastrami dips with this place as the scale. Only issue the price, I know it’s good but it is also 10 $ with no fries or drink so if you want a drink your up to 13 $ and fries 16 $. So it’s not cheep for being considered fast food. So I’m kinda stuck I can’t quite give it 5 stars because the price is not that reasonable for what you get.

This location is pretty cool located in Glendora on famous route 66 right off the 210 freeway. It’s clean and the parking lot is pretty big. What I like about this particular Hat is they have a drive through. So, when I came tonight with my sister we just drove through which was nice because, it was 32 degrees, thought my nipples were gonna freeze right off!!! I went against the normal and didn’t buy their pastrami I, got the turkey. Although I like their pastrami I really like the turkey toasted on sourdough bread with tomato, avacado, and pickles instead, its one of their better sandwiches. It’s not their best but its good and healthy. The price is really good around 5:65. Now the hat is its own style nowhere near as good as canters of hollywood, Langer’s in los angeles, Cole’s on 6th st Los Angeles or Capri’s in covina but its good. I also love their chili cheese fries even though I can’t really eat them anymore. The chili is really tasty, thick, and comes with really good cheese. The size it comes in is SUPERGARGANTUOUS!!! SO I hope you’re hungry! We orderd a burger for my nephew and that was comforting because he dosent eat pastrami. The HAT is just a great place to eat and chill.

More food than I can handle. Pastrami chili cheese fries enough for like 3 – 4 ppl as a meal lol I prefer wet fries with roast beef cuz I’m weird. I love gravy. I love poutine. So this is like the closest to Canadian food as Socal can produce. Potato salad is tasty but everyone is pretty much here for fries and pastrami. I’d try the onion rings maybe next time.
