My family and I love this wonderful place. So many beautiful pieces of pottery from different artists. Our house and business is filled with their delightful pieces. For the last two years they have a different owner who is just as sweet and accommodating as the owner before here. The surroundings are beautiful set in the trees. We would highly recommend anyone to check it out if you want to purchase some of the best pottery from the local artists. Always support local!

Beautiful things! I always stop when I’m at the Oregon coast. The beauty of the experience is that it’s different every time. Sometimes I find the perfect piece(or pieces) and sometimes I don’t buy anything at all. Bought several Annie Dyer pieces this trip. So beautiful! Staff are helpful and knowledgable but it’s also a no pressure shopping experience. Great shop!

I would never have known Mossy Creek existed had I not been told to go there and looked it up. Just before you drive over the Siletz River on your way to Lincoln City, there’s a sign on the side of the highway that says«Pottery.» Turn right there, on Immonen Road, and drive the wooded bend to the first house, left hand side. You won’t be disappointed! The gallery is in an old farmhouse with pottery from floor to ceiling, beautifully displayed and spilling outside onto the porch and even hanging on the walls outside. With the surrounding gardens blooming, the effect is both beautiful and comforting. Dan Wheeler, an incredible potter, and his wife Susan, run the shop. She makes sparkling glass art for your windows.(We need that kind of thing in the Northwest to brighten our lives in winter!) All of the pottery is handmade and locally made as well. I’m always amazed that there’s this much talent in the Northwest. There are at least a dozen different styles of pottery represented here. There is literally something for everyone. From the small to the large, from the functional to the decorative to the pure art piece, from natural colors to wild and outlandish. Most pieces are staggeringly affordable if not downright cheap, though there are also pieces here for collectors in the know. The trip is worth it just to have a chat with Dan and Susan who are two of the nicest, funniest and most entertaining people I’ve met. You’ll want to come again and again to see what’s new in their neck of the woods.

Mossy Creek is one of my favorite places on The Coast. It is tucked back in the tranquil Siletz Bay area just south of Lincoln City. It is just a few minutes east off Hwy 101… I have been buying my Mom(and myself) gifts here for a number of years. The owners Dan and Susan Wheeler are great. Dan has Nebraska Cornhusker ties so I end up talking to him about the Huskers every time I drop by. This place is very unique. Stop in, check it out, and support the local potters. There is some amazing artwork at Mossy Creek… Go Big Red!

Siletz Bay is the kind of sacred space that quiets your breath. Where a strong river meets the ocean, there are acres of brackish marsh, birds and mist. Along its southern edge sits Mossy Creek Pottery — a vintage Arts & Crafts home on beautiful, mature coastal landscaping. Right next door is a barn-shaped carriage house used by one of the owners as his ceramics studio. Inside, works are displayed from dozens of talented potters. Hundreds of pieces of handsome art call to you, demand to be picked up and touched.
