The restaurant definitely has a cool diner feel. It smelled a little off walking in. I feel some small changed like updated carpeting could really brighten up the place. I had the quarter pound burger. It has a sesame bun and came with a pickle. I was a bit skeptic by how fast the burger was done, if it was possibly pre cooked. None the less, it tasted pretty good. It reminded me of a burger from Portillos. The nachos my friend ordered weren’t as good. While the chips tasted authentic, there was very little cheese, and the cheese was reminiscent of the nachos we would have at school lunch. No cheese flavor. No kick. Noting. Over all I wouldn’t be really pushed to come back again, unless I found out there was something that was different or stood out in a delicious way.

Good gyros and burgers. My wife and I eat hear a couple times a month, food is consistent with good prices, better than your fast food chains for sure. Can’t understand people that say it’s expensive, only if they new what it takes to maintain a business. Highly recommended!

This is the first time I’ve ever been in this area looked like a okay place so we go to get food and we get out food to go because she said they were closing in 5mins it was pricy and I would of rather ate McDonald’s the burger wasn’t all that the fries were super plain and my boyfriend ordered a chilly dog and they forgot it so we went back In and the lady told us that the kitchens now closed. The rudest people ever! Wouldn’t recommend at all

A good hamburger place that pretty much is a portillos clone

This place is expensive but generally speaking I’ve had great food despite the price. Today though I’m totally disappointed. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and lemon rice soup. The total cost was 14 dollars. I was like woah but I’m ok if it’s high quality… too bad it wasn’t. My soup was fine but the salad was just a load of iceberg lettuce olives and one piece of feta. I feel like I was robbed. Never again.

I would compare this place to the Works. They have something for everyone. Items I have had: Burgers: Good, but Burger Fi is better and right across the street. Regardless, I would order again. Fries: Love their fries. Especially with a side of cheese sauce. Fried Zucchini: Good. Was happy to see this on the menu. Fried Mushrooms: OK. Same as everywhere else. I think these come in frozen packs, but I like them. Italian Beef: I will not order this here again. Portillo’s is the way to go with this. Baklava: I will start by saying I’m a HUGE baklava fan. I will never order this here again. All in all, food is good. Gets the job done. Place is clean with friendly service.

Decent. I work nearby so it is a good choice if you crave a burger and fries. I wouldn’t make a special trip out here.

It’s ok good. Sorta fast food place that has beer and wine. No crowd most call ahead and pick up would not make it a regal place to eat

Two word summary: just okay. Had the Italian beef w/cheese meal that was almost $ 11 and they only give you a small drink(no refills) and fries. Fries(skinny & crisp) are quite good compared to the rest of their fare. Coworkers had burgers that were tough and below par. The menu is priced too expensive ANDSTILL they’re stingy on napkins, plastic ware, condiments — everything is behind their counter. I’d pass this place up for the many other options in the area.

Had lunch here with my boss today. The people were very nice. The food was great. I had a hot dog and jalapeño popper. Mark had a yummy looking burger with bacon and side of fried mushrooms. Nice ambiance.

Had a chilli dog with everything. Crisp bite on the dog, good chilli. Soft bun. Crispy fries. Was a good lunch. Friendly servers and clean too. Would be back again when I’m in the neighborhood.

If you’re looking for fast food and are in the area, I’d definitely give this place a try. My family has been ordering from here for years and between all of us, I’m sure we’ve tried nearly the entire menu. Some of my favs: — mozzarella sticks — cheeseburger — gyro — fried mushrooms — hot dog — fries

It’s your average run of the mill fast food joint. I ordered a ¼-er with cheese and grilled onions that were not fully grilled but crunchy under-cooked but the fries were decent like McDonald’s fries but a little tastier. I could tell the beef patty was from frozen so it’s not Meathead’s or Five Guy’s or Tom & Eddies kind of quality meat. My husband had the skirt steak special that looked yummy. I wouldn’t make the trip just to come here, but would return if I was in the neighborhood.

It’s a nice little joint. On the inside, it looks like something you would see back in the day. When my family and I go, there aren’t a lot of people there, so it’s really easy to order and get your food. I’ve tried their ¼ pound burger and it is nice and juicy and cooked medium. The pricing is just right and you can get a drink, burger and fries for under $ 10. The restaurant is in a plaza so there is a parking lot for you. There’s always a spot open.

Run-of-the-mill beef and gyro joint. Stopped by this place on my way back to work looking for something outside the usual lunch suspects. Had an Italian beef with sweet peppers and an order of fries. The Italian beef was actually pretty good, decent meat and a great hoagie style bun. Unfortunately as with many of these places, the sweet peppers were quite bad, actually bitter instead of sweet. For some reason they also use a regular paper wrap for the sandwich instead of foil or wax paper, so there were bits of paper that stuck to the slightly wet bun. The fries were pretty sub-par, a mix of intermittently chewy, overcooked pieces along with harder, undercooked ones as well. They weren’t seasoned at all, so depending on your salt outlook that could be a good or a bad thing. Frying oil wasn’t exactly new, but I’ve had much, much worse in other places. Inside the place is a little run down. It looks like they’re trying to do an old 50’s or 60’s diner look, but the decorations are sparse and the space is probably way more than they need. There was an unfortunate smell nearer to the bathroom as well. It’s no hole in the wall gem, but for someone just looking for a late night quick fix of gyros or fried food, it’ll do alright.

We were on our way to see a friend’s play in nearby Glenview and stopped by here for a quick bite… so glad that we did. I think I had one of THE best hotdogs I’ve had in a very, very long time. It was perfect. Perfect sprinkle of celery salt, big tomato slices and the biggest pickle I’ve ever gotten with a hotdog… I was in heaven. Fries were perfectly cooked with a nice crunch too. Slightly pricey but it was worth it. I didn’t see the typical«2 hotdog» special that you see at most places but maybe I didn’t look hard enough. Will be back for more dogs if we are in the area!

I went in for the special on ribs and asked if the sauce was gluten free. The staff checked it out but finally just to be sure they brought out the whole huge container of sauce so I could personally check the label for safety sake — this kind of service is appreciated! And the ribs were good. In addition since they knew I was gluten free the other items that came with the rib dinner were wrapped and packed separately — again for safety sake.

Just not that great. Pricey food that was just OK at best. There’s not a lot of places like this in the area, otherwise I’d recommend going there instead. Johnny’s nearby is much, much better even though it is an italian and seafood place. Don’t waste your time or money.

This 50s-themed«diner» seems to have taken the 50s prices and accounted for major inflation. It’s not cheap to eat at this greasy spoon. 2 stars go for the friendly owner who, when asked how good the gyro sandwich was, looked at me stone cold and smiled with the reply, «THEBEST!» The menu is extensive(pare it down!) And the bathrooms are horrific. Just gross. But I didn’t come here to pee, I came here to eat lunch. If you have a hankering for a little grease and a toss back to a different decade, this is a place worth checking out, at least once, for lunch.
