Solid 5 stars and I would give them more if Unilocal would let me. I feel so lucky to have this gem of a place in my neighborhood. Even if it wasn’t close by I would count it as one of those special places and experiences that I would look forward to retuning to. 1. The cocktail list is amazing. They are delicious, well thought out and creation of a true mixologist. 2. Top quality spirits made from ingredients they grow. Even many of the syrups(for those amazing cocktails) are all made by OCD. 3.The brown barn farm site is lovely. It’s oh so cozy to sit by the fire and look out over beautiful farmlands. There’s live music some nights too. 4. The owners are great. They are friendly and care about their community as well as producing a great product. This is local business and the farm to table movement at its best. I love that I have someplace truly special to bring out of town visitors to and I tell everybody I know to go. When they go, they love it and I get cred for making the recommendation. Thanks OCD.

I really enjoyed our visit to this farm distillery. I am a vodka drinker, and while their vodka was good, I really enjoyed their Gin, which I found to be very smooth, and not overly«piney» from juniper. The bourbon and whiskey varieties tasted on par with others I have had, but not being a connoisseur, you must try them for yourself. The young man who offered the tasting was pleasant and answered all of our questions. I am really impressed with the amount of ingredients that are farmed right on the grounds, crates of fresh herbs lined the walkway outside the entrance, which was a nice touch. I wound up purchasing a bottle of their Gin and will be encouraging my friends to visit.

Great products, everything made from NY products, even the barrels. We got to meet«the farmer» who could not have been more friendly and open to talking about the distillery. The woman who provided the tasting was also great and knowledgeable. Perfect thing to do on Sunday afternoon. As far as the price, very reasonable when compared to other small batch liquors. These would be kept for a special time. such as the holidays or a special drink. You get what you pay for. We will be back!

A great business offering a great product. We visited the distillery for the first time yesterday, and it was a highlight of the weekend. First, the spirits are incredible. There are a few distilleries in the Hudson River Valley. Some good, some bad, but few that have a «wow» factor when it comes to the actual spirits. Not here. I tasted the corn whiskey, honey corn whiskey, bourbon, and the un-aged single malt scotch. Each one was a wow moment. Not«good for a small place», or «neat because of the farm» wow, but«I need this on my shelf next to the Van Winkle 12 yr» wow. Each one had its own unique flavor profiles that set them apart from everything else I have tried, but still stayed true to the spirit. I bought a bottle of the corn whiskey, and plan on buying a bottle of the honey corn whiskey as soon as it is bottled. The bourbon was very tasty, and the un-aged single malt was one of the most interesting scotches I have had. I will be in line for the release of the aged single malt. They have a stand at the green market, so hopefully I will have the whole collection soon. If the experience of visiting were awful, and the workers insulted me and threw rotten onions at me as I bought some whiskey, OCD would still get five stars because the spirits are that good. Fortunately, the experience is as good as the product. The distillery is tucked away on a side street in Goshen. A tiny red outbuilding stands against a backdrop of hundreds of acres of black dirt farmland. Once inside a small tasting room has glass walls that let you see the distillery operations. The young woman working when we visited was very friendly and courteous. She explained each offering and showed us on a map where each ingredient is grown on the farm. It is a true«farm to bottle» experience as they call it, and if you are into that, OCD is as pure as you can get. If I remember correctly it was $ 4 to taste up to 3 spirits, and a few more dollars to keep the glass. The tasting is free if you purchase a bottle. The spirits are very fairly priced. I walked out from a tasting with a glass, a hat, and a bottle of exceptional whiskey for around or under $ 50. If you are in Orange County, definitely make a stop here.

As for a small business it looks cool and the place is OK. But their prices are way out of this world. For a small bottle(375 ml) of their Corn Vodka they’re asking $ 35. WHAT ??? I can get a bottle of Single Malt Scotch Whisky Glenlivet or Glen Moray 0.750 L for $ 33 + tax in NJ(when it’s on sale). And they can’t even compare their spirits to the single malt scotches. That’s why they’re not going to last here. I tried their vodka and whisky and it needs a lot more distillation than it got. It needs to be a lot smoother than it is. These guys have a lot more to do than they think. On the other side, they are very nice and polite when you talk to them. They are also trying to make a move to local bars with their products. Well… not with the prices they have right now, that’s for sure. They need to lower them if they want to survive.

I stopped in for a tasting this afternoon with my family and we enjoyed sampling a variety of spirits. I particularly enjoyed the Bourbon whiskey and bought a bottle for my home bar… I’m primarily a Gin drinker but thought I’d expand my repertoire! The distillery is in a great spot surrounded by black dirt farms. It’s very impressive that they grow all their ingredients. This is a great addition to the burgeoning craft beverage market in the Hudson Valley and a must see the next time your in the area!
