I had a great experience here last week, while visiting from out of town. A group of friends came here and we all had a great evening! I ordered the Forest Fire Bowl and it was delicious, just the right amount of spicy! We had a pregnant friend with us, and the server was very accommodating to meeting her needs and finding what would make her comfortable and happy as well, which was greatly appreciated! Great food, great service.

My husband and I have visited Jelly’s before the menu switch that happened this summer with pretty great disappointment. When we saw they had a new menu we thought we had to check it out. The décor was the same as before, much like it’s sister restaurant The Grand. It’s a lovely location on the canal. The only downfall about the atmosphere is that it’s small and gets incredibly loud quickly. We could barely hear one another over the chatter. We’ve been back twice this summer and each time our servers were pretty horrible. Both didn’t know anything about the menu items even though one of them had been there for over five years. This was late summer, with the new menu roll out happening at the beginning of the summer. Both servers also weren’t dressed all that classy for me paying $ 20-$ 25 a plate. They also didn’t act very classy. Almost seemed like we were bothering them coming to their place of work. One complained to us constantly about the table next to us. Poor manners. The pad thai, amazing, though, and the reason we’ll keep coming back hoping they get a decent wait staff. It looks like others have had better luck in that area here. Hope we luck out soon.

Got the Sashimi sushi here. Looked nothing like salmon. Looked like cat food. Do not recommend the sushi.

We looked around for a place to rent that we could have our own room. We really wanted our guests to be able to walk from the resort we were staying at(Serendipity) and found Jelly’s. We rented out the upstairs(inside) of Jelly’s for our wedding reception. I cannot say one bad word about the place, food, or service. They let us play our own music via ipad, the food was good, the wait staff was very attentive all the way around. They rented linens for the tables and allowed us to bring in our own cupcakes. I wasn’t stressed at all, they made it all turn-key and easy!

The bf and I walked in last night during the July 4 fireworks display and had a very average experience: Pros: –our waitress(totally forgot her name –_-) was AMAZING. Great service, prompt, accommodating, and friendly. wonderful service that I can’t rave enough about. –the mussels diablo was delicious, and they are very generous with their mussels. actually, this place was recommended to us bc of the mussels. –they serve coke! Thank god… feels like everywhere else I’ve been lately serves Pepsi –the view is nice. Well, it was at night, and I can only imagine how nice it’d be in the day. –apple torte was delicious!!! Or tart. idk but it was great! Cons: –the burger was meh. Okay, that’s actually my fault bc I didn’t want to deal with the creamy sauce from seafood penne and didn’t want anything else. Don’t eat the burger lol. –when we arrived, nobody really greeted us or showed us where to sit. Granted it was in the middle of the fireworks show, but still. No apology, either. –the rest of the service sucked. The staff was talking loudly in the corner. So loud that it dominated the environment and made it hard for us to hear the music. This is something I’d expect at tgi Fridays, not a «fancier» restaurant like Jellys tries to be. The bf disagrees and says the chatter was so loud and distracting that it shouldn’t be expected anywhere… so I guess it depends on how much it bothers you. Overall, priced were reasonable, food was average, view was nice, and service was hit or miss. I don’t think one should compromise food and service in lieu of a nice view, so unfortunately, I’ll be passing on Jellys in the future should I need a place to eat.

The sushi and edamame is refreshing after being outside in the sun — call in your order and pick it up via boat docking! There is a beautiful view of the lake from indoors, but for outdoor seating you will need to go to Snug Harbor which is attached.

This place started out as a 5 star but slowly went downhill as the night progressed. We got a fabulous seat wedged between the kitchen door and a window overlooking a sliver of water 5 feet in front of the hostess stand. Our waiter«Lance» seemed friendly, professional, and on point(in the beginning). Apps-hummus with veggies and pita and crab cakes. Both were delicious and we cleaned those plates up. Sushi-3 rolls, one happened to be a mahi roll that had to be cooked. We got the 2 rolls immediately but the third roll… tick-tock, tick-tock. While we were patiently waiting I got to watch the comings and goings of the restaurant. The hostess. nowhere to be found, and when she was around she was completely ignoring her station. I told numerous parties that were standing in line getting ready to walk out because no one was helping them that there was a hostess and hopefully she will seat you. Then«Lance» got a table of 8 people, this is where the stars start dropping. He is in a panicked frenzy and completely ignoring our table at this point. We see our last sushi roll sitting at the pickup window and watched as «Lance» kept walking by it numerous times, he paid no notice to it or to us. I was about to walk up to grab it myself but I figured I would just watch The Lance Show. After about 20 minutes of it sitting there, he finally delivered it to our table. No apology, nothing. My friend, piped up and stated the obvious and his response was«well I’m busy» and walked away. The roll was cold, chewy, and pointless. Thanks«Lance» for an awesome experience.

This meal started as a 5 star dining experience. We were seated immediately and our server was very knowledgeable and attentive(until he later disappeared). Many reviews stated how great the views of the water were in the restaurant. We got stuck in between the kitchen door and the entrance. We only saw drama. Our waiter Lance gave detailed descriptions of all of the beers on tap. We started with a couple of beers and apps. The crab cakes and hummus plates were delicious! Then we ordered sushi and the night fell apart. Two out of three of our rolls were delivered right away. The third missing roll was a hot roll needing extra preparation. Soon after, we saw a roll appearing to be ours. It was placed on the counter by the sushi chefs. During the next 25 minutes we watched the hostess reassign herself to cleaning the restaurant while patrons stood at the hostess stand in confusion and anger. A party of 10 even decided to seat themselves. Three times during the 25 minutes(while our sushi sat on the counter), both sushi chefs and another server checked the paper invoice and chose to ignore it. When our waiter reappeared, and finally delivered our ‘hot’ roll; it was cold, chewy and tasteless. I inquired about the late delivery with Lance and he rudely stated that he was ‘too busy’ with his ‘other tables’. Once this restaurant hires a manager to monitor the shenanigans, maybe I will return for the delicious apps.

Excellent service, great food. Sitting area is a little small, but the food is outstanding. Not sure about the sushi, but didn’t look all that great. Blackened Chicken Penne was awesome.

Terrific food and amazing view of the water! Service is great. We love Keri! We love Jelly’s on a weeknight for a quiet dinner and great atmosphere. Great wine selection. We enjoy the cheese board, pot stickers, salmon bruschetta as appetizers and usually split an entrée. When we have out of town guests, we usually bring them here!

Wish this was open for lunch, or earlier for dinner! Great atmosphere, good food. When we get there at opening time, there’s usually no one around, and we either just wait or make some noise, where is everyone?

Great views right on the water. This was one of the few restaurants we could find that was right on the water. Great service. Our waitress was very helpful and always had a smile on her face. The food was ok. We had the calamari for an appetizer, it wasn’t really that good. I wish we would have gotten the chili garlic shrimp instead. We also got a California role and we were a little disappointed that they used artificial crap inside of it. I main courses were pretty good. I give this place a solid 3 stars…

C’mon over to jelly’s! Hostess wasn’t great, but our waitress(Jodi) was phenomenal! Try the mussels… yum! Sushi was ok, but overall a great visit! Ask for a window table… well worth it to watch the yachts pull into the harbor.

Great food, gorgeous atmosphere. The service is fantastic as well. Every server I’ve had there has been extremely friendly and attentive. You cannot beat this location. It is the best place to go and watch the sunset. It’s a great place for a date or late night drinks with friends. Food and drinks are a little pricey, but its reasonable. I had the Sirloin Strips which were very good. Drinks are good too– get in by 7pm to get their happy hour specials. Although I had a Bloody Mary there last weekend that was extremely peppery– so I would avoid that. Check out their specials. They offer some unique dishes that are very tasty– we LOVED the Thai Pulled Pork Sliders they offered a few weeks ago– SO good!

This has place has great views and similar food to The Grand. The wait staff seams to switch off between the restaurants. The manager seems nice, he’s always walking around checking on everyone. If you want a more low key and intimate setting go to Jelly’s!

Jelly’s just opened two weeks ago and is located above venerable Grand Haven restaurant, Snug Harbor. It’s right on the beach with walls of windows for a great view. Smallish interior seating area plus bar with outside seating in good weather. There’s a jellyfish tank behind the bar, hence the name. Eight of us ate there and were very happy with the experience. We shared several plates of various sushi dishes and edaname to start. All were wonderful. Entrees chosen included everything from a Jelly burger, ahi tuna, grouper, Thai chopped salad with chicken to charcuterie. Ambitious menu includes steaks, pastas, sandwiches, etc. My chopped salad was delicious and I’d order it again. Our waiter mistakenly served MAHI to the two men who’d actually ordered AHI, but the error was quickly rectified. He must have wondered what was going on when they ordered their dish rare! They offer a couple desserts, but our group decided to head across the street to the Dairy Treat stand for soft ice cream for dessert.
