The food is cheap, but taste good. It’s not the best in the world, but it’s far better than crappy fast food. Their staff has always been very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Once or twice you could tell some of them were having a bad day, but they were never rude. My favorite part is you can order their whole menu(breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at anytime, which is great when you take two picky kids with you.

Good food, generous portions, but the waitstaff could at least put a smile on.

Favorite late night hang out! Cheap food that gets better the later it gets with a huge menu that offers whatever you’re craving and so many dessert options! All the waitresses are friendly & funny, they all know the large amount of regulars & sometimes remember your favorite meal!

I wish I had a better experience. Our server was wonderful, my chili was terrible. Terrible. Way too salty, and maybe too much tomato sauce. It was disgusting. The fries are definitely freezer fries– $ 1.89 gets you a handful of last luster fries. Mashed potatoes and gravey had a weird texture to them. They were subpar. I finished them, but I wasn’t/and am not eager to go back. Disappointing on my part. My sister enjoyed her Smothered Chicken sandwich, but hated the chili too. I probably won’t ever go back-waste of $ 13 for a sandwich and two sides.

What is not to like… open 24 hours and better than any other diner in town. They have the best breakfast anywhere in GH — anytime of day. As far as other menu items, check out the turkey club, Bosco sticks, and wraps. More review to come as I visit.

We had some late night breakfasts here last night and we were impressed. The service is great. Their iced tea is fantastic. The prices are reasonable. I had biscuits and gravy and two eggs for $ 4.99. I would only eat breakfast here though. I’m updating my previous review because we ate dinner here and the food was poor. The broccoli tasted canned(gross).

Reasonable prices and good service, better than average food made it a great choice for a family dinner. Roast Beef sandwiches were standard but tasty and mashed potatoes were good. Burrito was pretty tame but huge. Pancakes were great. Burger a little thin — should have tried the angus version.

The«zoo» or «vous», as it is known by the locals, is the hangout and after-bar 24⁄7 joint that every town has. However, the food is amazing(not at all healthy, unless you’re ordering the chef salad or something, which is delicious and HUGE). MUST tries here are the sheep herder, fries & gravy or cheese fries with gravy(a staple for the locals… just trust me and try it), or the deep dish pies — a la mode!!! Yummmmmm!!!

Most web sites recommend the highly visible breakfast places in Grand Haven. This is a hidden gem for breakfast. Great service and great food at reasonable prices

This is Grand Haven’s original 24 hour greasy spoon diner. It’s kind of a hang out for bored teens, AA types, local eccentrics and after-bar drunks. This makes it a fun place to people watch while you eat. It is the only sit down place open in GH after 2 so usually it is busy on a Saturday after the bars close. One reviewer said that it is like a ‘one of a kind’ Denny’s or IHOP and this is spot-on in my opinion. The food is surprisingly good, but what you would expect — burgers, biscuits and gravy, omelets, reuben sandwiches, etc. They have daily and weekly specials with non-menu items, mostly comfort foods or seasonally appropriate dishes. I used to come here in the 90’s and recently returned to the area and it seems they really cleaned the place up and improved the food. The servers in my experience are friendly and attentive. It’s a huge restaurant but adequately staffed so it is unlikely you won’t be served or will wait excessively long for food even during a rush. It’s also a nice place to go late at night if you want to drink coffee and study, read, draw, get work done, etc. As I said, it is a greasy spoon/diner atmosphere, but who doesn’t love a good diner?

The Vous isn’t fancy, trendy, or cutting-edge. It’s comfortable and homey where the waitstaff remember you if you come in every couple of weeks. Prices have gone up a bit in the past year, but that’s to be expected. The real draw here, as far as I’m concerned, is breakfast. They have, I kid you not, the best pancakes in the universe. I don’t know what they use to make them, but they are amazing. The size of a dinner plate and they just melt in your mouth — and you can get them 24⁄7. Full menu available all day and night, coffee is delicious and they keep it coming with half-and-half in little pitchers and big sugar canisters.

A trip to Grand Haven is not complete without a Sheep Herder from Rendezvous! I’ve been visiting a friend in the area for years and it’s become a tradition to stop in for breakfast before returning home. Great family restaurant, no frills reasonably priced and I don’t recall ever having bad service there!

The only thing open late in the tri-cities area, the Vouz as it’s affectionately called, is awesome. The wait staff is friendly but doesn’t take lip(particularly from the after bar crowd). The food is so… dinery. Breakfast is tasty(get the sheep hearder with lightly deep fried hashbrowns and eggs over easy-just trust me), but it’s the sides/appetizers section that gets the most play. I love their deep fried cauliflower, and you can’t go wrong with cheddar fries. They have a surprising array of tea flavors, and coffee is $ 1.25. This is one of the only places for young people to hang out in Grand Haven, and hang out they do. Always colorful characters, always open.

Awesome local 24-hour place. If it’s after midnight, and you find yourself in Grand Haven, you must go here. Forget the Applebees and Pizza Hut — the local scene is right here and you can get a full helping of all the gossip about what really goes on in Grand Haven. Also helps if you’re a teen/20’s and appreciate late night breakfast joints. For the outta towner, it’s like the Dennys or IHOP, but a one of a kind
