Pizza Amoré “The Wood Fire Way”

You’ve gotta try this place out! The pizza is soooo good! Their homemade buffalo sauce is great too! …and the cannolis are also fantastic. It’s all great. The owners were there, very nice people. They were super friendly and accommodating.

We ordered from them on Good Friday for our annual family Easter Egg coloring. An aside here, my mom has celiac’s and I have a severe dairy allergy so there were a few things we had to order specifically for our dietary needs. We ordered a large cheese with traditional sauce, a godfather without banana peppers, a medium gluten free veggie pizza and an antipasto salad. First, the salad. Oh my, the salad. Absolutely no iceberg lettuce! The salad was HUGE and so good. The gluten free pizza was amazing. We’re not normally fans of flat crust pizzas but everyone ate up this pizza like it was their last meal on earth. Even good reheated. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from here again.

Probably the best pizza on the Island… and ironically one of the best priced as well. Extra Kudos to them for honoring our Vets with a 10% discount. Delivery on the Island.

I am a pizza lover and I was traveling thru from Vegas n we stopped to get some pizza n I must say I enjoyed the flavors n only thing I was not a fan of was the pepperoni They used I like the thin crispy kind and I also tried the pizza cone! Very interesting to try but not something I would buy again however innovation is the key so A for affort lol

After having their pizza from the food truck on many occasions, my husband and I decided to venture to the island to visit their store front location. At first glance we thought, uh-oh…are we in the right spot? We pulled into a gas station lot thinking we may have made a mistake. Upon entering we found a seperate part of the building that housed 2 eateries, one being Pizza Amore. The staff was friendly and we had a hard time choosing from their great selection of specialty pizzas. Ww noticed a big comfy couch and big screen tv, and I thought it was just like being at home. The pizza was delish… everything I had grown to love from it’s mobile brother, and more. We tried the baked wings and they were pretty good. Much different that their deep fried counterpart, but I enjoyed them just the same. We will definetly go back!

I would give it zero stars if I could. I called and ordered food for delivery for a girls night, the woman said they had no delivery person so I said I would pick it up. She said a half hour. I got there and a half hour later and it wasn’t near done. She said it would be about another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the kid making the pizzas said my order was done, she yells, no, I’m still doing the sandwiches! She said it would be another 5 minutes at least. I was not happy. 2 small pizzas and two sandwiches, not that hard. Got the food home and it was terrible. Sandwiches were dry, the meat was cold, not baked, just terrible. She gave me a coupon for a free pizza for the wait, I gave it away. Terrible food.

This is the pizza I have been looking for. We drove from Tonawanda just to get this pizza. We had the WHITE pizza and the PROSCIUTTO & ARUGULA Pizza. Both were great. We will definitely be back.

This IS the pizza I have been waiting for, not only on Grand Island, but in the greater Buffalo area. When they say they use a wood fired pizza oven, that is just what you get– no gimmicks here. The subtle smoky flavor perfectly pervades the crust and the toppings. I have been back multiple times for my favorite wood fired pie made with cup & char pepperoni and anchovies. The crust is always cooked to perfection with just the right amount of high-​heat charring on top and crispiness on the bottom. That kind of texture and taste can only be achieved by a master pizza technician using a real wood fire oven. The tomato sauce they use is excellent. The folks that operate Pizza Amore are as nice as you’ll find and work hard to make sure their customers are pleased. Don’t be surprised if you get a free cannoli or two for dessert!
I am hopeful that in time Pizza Amore will be able to enhance the total dining experience by improving the ambiance of the location. It’s a coffee shop/​pizza shop/​convenience store, but the GREAT TASTE of their pizza MORE than makes up for what the location lacks. As their ads say, it’s not gas station pizza– it most certainly is not, it is FANTASTIC, and it deserves to be served in a more upscale setting.

This is a review for Pizza Amore’s brick and mortar location in Grand Island. The restaurant is in a gas station, sharing space with a Tim Horton’s and convenience store. The interior, however, is clean and comfortable. Ambiance aside, the pizza is really delicious.
This is the first authentic wood fired pizza I’ve tasted in the area. Many locations advertise wood fired pizza but just don’t get it right. We ordered an arugula, prosciutto, balsamic pizza. The crust was chewy, crispy, and airy. The prosciutto and fresh arugula made for a balanced and fresh bite. The one downside however was the balsamic vinegar– they put too much on and it took over and made the pizza a bit soggy in parts. A balsamic reduction or syrup would have worked better.
With that said, I definitely would return or seek out their truck– the crust was just too good, and they have many more interesting topping combinations to try.

got, the margarita pizza yesterday. It was burned the sauce tasted like Ragu, I simply could not eat it. Threw it in the garbage. Really wanted a good pizza place on grand island, Im still looking,

Kids and I stopped over after the 4^th of July parade and had 3 GREAT personal pizzas, cheese, cheese and pepperoni and steak and cheese!
