Food was looked great since we saw a lot of it coming out sitting so close to the kitchen. Tasted just as good as it looked. Portions seemed on the bigger side since some breakfast places make there’s on a smaller side like your not hungry. Lots of choices to pick from.

Maryland omelette was excellent. I added hollandaise sauce and worked out perfect. Wife’s strawberry shortcake pancakes were beautiful. She couldn’t finish them but only because of the serving size. Service was good and it was fast and delicious. Prices were fair and definitely got our money’s worth.

I heard good things about the Breton Village location, and since my friends and I were in the area we decided to check it out. It wasn’t the best decision :( The good: Our waitress was so nice and sweet. The location is nice and well kept. And the bad: My friend ordered plain pancakes, and didn’t like that they were basically fried on the outside but still doughy on the inside. Not fluffy like pancakes are supposed to be. My other friends ordered the strawberry and blueberry pancakes, which were VERY sweet and overflowing with the canned fruit. As for my meal, I ordered the traditional eggs benedict with a side of tomato basil soup. When I was served my food, I immediately noticed how messy my plates were. My side soup was spilling on the side, and wasn’t even orange/red in color that tomato soup should be… but it tasted all right. My main dish was super messy… and the eggs were overcooked. The hollandaise sauce was just ok. The english muffin wasn’t even an english muffin, and it tasted like it was frozen beforehand. The ham was fine, not too fatty. I really expected more of the food, and presentation really matters for breakfast since most of the meals are made of simple ingredients. Hopefully someday they turn it around, but otherwise I won’t be coming back.

Went here for brunch and had a 20 minute wait time. However, the food came out promptly. We ordered a scramble, skillet, and the pecan rolls. The pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls there are amazing, especially warmed. Everything was delicious and service was fine. I do wish their menu offered some more variety for breakfast items, but i appreciate the quality of what they have.

They have delicious orange juice here. Also the service is quick and intuitive. I would highly recommend the skillets. They do breakfast sooooo well. The location/building is really nice. Definitely a place for Sunday/Saturday breakfast. Will be busy but it’s very worth it.

My husband and I went here because of previous reviews and we were NOT disappointed!!! Our server was wonderful and the Food was fabulous! I had the Crab Cakes Benedict, the lump crab meat was delicious and hollandaise sauce was tasty. My husband ordered the Meatlovers Scramble, which he raved about as well. Took a BIG cookie home for a treat and it was yummy too! We will definitely return! Also like in previous reviews. We were on our way somewhere else and the wait was too darn long… I think we will opt for this choice over another, time and time again!

Food was okay. I had the tradition eggs Benedict. The eggs were overlooked but the ham was very good. My daughter had the meat lovers scramble which she said there wasn’t a lot of meat. Hubby had the western omelette which he said was good.

I’ve eaten here several times and have loved it, but it seems to have really gone downhill. The flavor of the avacado chicken salad was good, but the sandwich was mostly lettuce. The Terra veggie chips were ALLCRUMBS! It was served on a small round plate so that when i went to pick up my sandwich, half the chip crumbs spilled onto the table. It should have been served on a large oval plate. My husband’s toast was served to him completely dry. Now i know why it wasn’t very busy.

We were going to go somewhere else but there was a long wait so we came here instead. Next time we’ll just come here & skip the other place! Food came quickly and was so good! Our server Todd was friendly and efficient and was good about making suggestions. I had Blueberry Cheesecake pancakes and my nephew had a cheese omelette and some wheat toast. We both loved it! I live in Traverse City so I’m used to the original Omelette Shoppes and this one is just as good!

Probably a better restaurant than our visit can attest. We each had to repeat the details of our order and she still came back to the table ask us what we wanted before entering the order. She was completely scatterbrained as our orders were 30 min in the making, not complicated, and they were still prepared incorrectly. Three reminders about my OJ that sounded so good as others reported here on Unilocal and she never brought it to the table. The manger new about the fiasco because he had to help her at the register but he never came by to offer an apology. The bad service made the food uneventful.

I had breakfast here yesterday morning with my husband and some extended family. My Loaded Potato Pancakes were delicious. Two big fluffy potato pancakes topped with Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and sausage gravy. YUM! It was also served with a side serving of fresh fruit. The other members of the family all had different types of omelettes. They all looked and smelled amazing! Great breakfast.

Food is a solid 3.5 stars. Hash browns were crispy and delicious. Bacon could’ve had a little more crunch to it but wasn’t too fatty. Pancakes were tough and had probably been flipped more than once. Eggs were eggs. What pushed it over to for stars was the coffee. Much better than your typical diner/breakfast place coffee, and they bring a while carafe to the table so you don’t have to flag down a server for refills. I will definitely be going back for my regular fix of bacon and hash browns.

I enjoyed my breakfast here. They have early bird specials that fill you up for the work day — a smaller portion omelette with toast or I believe two meat, two eggs and toast for FOURDOLLARS! Yes, about the same you would spend for a Mc Donald’s breakfast. Plus, service was super friendly and accommodating which sometimes isn’t the case when your bill is on the small side. They also give you a huge carafe of coffee to go along with it. I haven’t tried anything else here so maybe this isn’t a fair review but I was thoroughly pleased with my visit.

I was in town for a wedding and the following day a group of us stopped in for breakfast. I am so glad we did because I left Grand Rapids with the impression that it is the cutest little town in Michigan. The décor was right up my alley, kind of cottage-y and it just seemed like a great place to be. The orange juice was freshly squeezed to perfection. The omelet was just amazing and I was really glad that I got to make it out here! If I’m in town again I will definitely have to stop by again, if anything for the orange juice.

In 2012 I wrote a not so favorable review of this location and received a quick and honest response from the owner that offered to pay for my next breakfast. I declined his offer as I sincerely appreciated his honesty and desire to make things right. Today, myself and five of my co-workers held a breakfast meeting here. All of us cleaned our plates and had no complaints. The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, a majority of my complaints in 2012 revolved around the lack of fresh fruit and today, not one of us ordered anything that came with fruit or was made with fruit. Therefore, I’m not sure if I am comparing apples to apples when it comes to my experience this year versus 2012.(;

An omelette lover’s heaven! I’m more of a traditional, two-egg-side-of-bacon kind of girl(which was delicious) but the omelets being delivered to hungry patrons all around me were mouth watering. With your own carafe of coffee delivered to your table, this place knows how to keep customers happy and full. If I make it back to Grand Rapids, I’ll be back to order an omelette and cinnamon roll. Order up!

We arrived right before the after-church crowd and was able to sneak in a booth at 11am. Being that I like kitchy, vintage stuff, I liked the cottage décor with a tasteful smattering of antiques throughout. I didn’t know this until I arrived, but The Omelette Shoppe is owned by the same group that owns Sundance Grill(a fav of mine) which explained why the menu items seemed familiar. I ordered an egg white scramble and my hubby got the Mexican omelet. Our food came out quickly and the server was nice about following up with coffee refills. Our food was hot, fresh, and most important, super yummy. We finished it off by sharing one of their famous cinnamon rolls. I had thought about going on a sugar detox diet but when the cinnamon role arrived, I gave up on that idea and pigged out. Maybe I’ll give up on sugar tomorrow. Although I had a great time on my visit, the prices are a bit high for a breakfast/brunch place. Not sure I’ll be a regular here but I’ll be back when I want something special.

I’ve been there a couple of times(both times after a very late night I must admit) and the food just always sat really heavy with me. I ordered omelettes both times, and they were tasty, but overdone. The coffee is pretty good and the service is alright. It’s a pretty typical breakfast diner, good to meet a friend at and catch up but nothing to rave about.

MMmMMMmmmmMmMMMMmmm breakfast. I can eat breakfast food at any time! I had a veggie omelet that was really good — they let me exchange a veggie for hash browns inside which was awesome. I probably ate about 2⁄3 of it and was pretty full! They have a great OJ machine for fresh OJ and some yummy sweet treats in the front counter. The cookies are about as big as my head and I got my Dad a huge pecan roll that looked super yummy.
