Nunca había sido fanática de la comida Italiana, la consideraba harina, harina y más harina! Ahora que he estado en CAPRI Granger tengo que decir que mi visión a cambiado totalmente y con creces. Es deliciosa! Y su servicio excelente. Muchas gracias y felicitaciones

The entrees were amazing! We both ordered one of the specials, and the lobster stuffed tilapia was our favorite. However, the appetizers and wait staff seemed to have gone downhill since our last visit. An altercation broke out between the servers in the middle of the dining room. We will try again in the future but are hesitant to recommend it.

Very disappointed! I’ve eaten there several times before and always had a delightful experience. This time the service was slow & my pasta dry and bland. My dates salmon was undercooked. The Italian mgr I was told is no longer with them… Beautiful building but we won’t be going back!!!

Outstanding food. We’ve been to Capri over 25 times and never had a bad meal. All the pasta dishes include fresh pasta and the sauces are well balanced. The service was questionable for a while, but they have brought in more attentive and professional staff lately. I hope they are here for the long term! It is never very busy so reservations are not a necessity.

Just had a delicious meal at Capri. In town for a Notre Dame event and the pasta was fantastic. Had the tagliatelle with chicken, asparagus and sun dried tomato in a cream sauce. Two big puffy homemade rolls came alongside. The service was excellent and the place is very tasteful with old movie posters and 40’s music. A very nice evening!

You will have a hard time not getting a great, relaxing meal here at a fair price. Highly recommended. Owner/chef/manager is a gem. Give it a try.

First time, on a Monday evening, didn’t want to fight the grape road crowd. My wife and I had the place to ourself. We both had a wonderful meal. What a great place to have a meal for a date night. I will be back to try everything on the menu.

Delicious Italian food. Reasonably priced with giant portions for sides of pasta! Beautiful décor and personal touch from the owner Gino. He often walks table to table to greet guests and get opinions on their meals and drinks. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is a secret gem hidden in Granger. The caprise salad is made with homemade mozzarella and it’s the best I’ve ever had. The special was the seafood ravioli with lobster and scallops it was divine. My wife had a herb crusted salmon that was spectacular. The desserts tasted like they were made by angels. It was the best cannoli that I have ever had. This restaurant is definitely some place you should visit by far best Italian in Mishawaka South Bend. Just plain fabulous

We were lucky to find this, driving through to Chicago, a very pleasant surprise. Elegant décor, light music, great service. Upscale menu and quite tasty appetizers(we had shrimp and lobster bisque and goat cheese-arugula-red pepper biscotti). Crusted pepper Salmon special of the day was delicious. Choice of wine was right on. Italian cooking is not just pizza, thank goodness.

Another great meal last night. The homemade 3 meat lasagna was fantastic. The service as always was friendly and attentive. Eating at Capri is always a nice experience. They have a great menu with many wonderful and homemade items, a beautiful dining room featuring a real wood burning fireplace and a really impressive bar that is great for a pre-meal drink or just to stop in for a relaxing cocktail. Even though it is just off the main road, I would encourage people to experience this underutilized gem. An added bonus: the prices are very reasonable.

It’s no surprise that there are some decent Italian restaurants in Michiana. What is a surprise, at least it was to us, is that the best one is in Granger. Not at Heritage Sq., Granger, but Granger proper. The owner is from Roma, the ambience is from a cigar magazine, and the pasta is from heaven. If you like truly good Italian food, no waiting for a table, pasta made from scratch, and an all-male waitstaff wearing vests, this is the place for you. The owner(actually partner, along with the owner of the original Capri in Indy) who was a commercial chef in Europe before coming to the States seven years ago, worked for Chicago’s Mayor Daley as his personal chef before coming to Granger. The food at this place certainly shows his expertise, and the ambience and waitstaff show the fact that he apparently doesn’t know where Granger is on the map. We like that. We like everything about this place, except for the fact that the portions could be just a little bit larger. Especially considering the size of the owner himself. We loved it, and can’t wait for an excuse to go back.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Waitress took our order and never mentioned the specials. Ordered a tuna steak, it was not fresh, tough, and smelled horrible. We had a party of 13 and no one enjoyed their meal. When we told the chef he was rude and said he’s never had a complaint ever before. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely not be going back… As someone ever so nicely pointed out(by nice I mean very rudely) they did not have Tuna 7 days ago… My review is from December 13th… I do apologize for not writing my review within the proper time lines.

Terrible service and cold food. Took over an hour to get appetizers and another hour to get entrees. When the entrees finally showed up ¾ were cold. We had to get up several times to go ask for water from the bar, because our waiter was MIA. When we voiced our concerns to the manager he became very defensive and said, «I have no excuse, but I have a party of 100 people in my banquet room.» Which, to me, sounded a lot like an excuse. Overall we had a very poor experience the service was terrible from the waiter all the way up to the owner/manager. The food had potential if it had come hot. I understand that the restaurant was clearly overwhelmed, but that’s still not an excuse for completely neglecting customers and then acting indignant when customers point out the poor treatment they have received. I would love to see this place to succeed, but it’s not going to happen without some serious changes. We won’t be back.

I actually didn’t know this place existed until I came out of Big C Lumber and saw the sign, «Capri». I decided to try it and took my son there for his 38th birthday. If you like Italian, this is very good, but is definitely a high-end restaurant, with great atmosphere, very good service, and excellent home-made food. My wife and I had the spaghetti,(from scratch), and it was the best. The three of us each had a drink, and got out for about $ 100.00, including the 20% tip. I really like my own home-made spaghetti, but would go back here if I feel like having some excellent Italian food.

It’s sad to say that Capri has been on a steady decline in recent months. I’ve heard great things about the Indy location, but it seems like they just don’t care here. We won’t be back unless there is a dramatic change… there are better local dining options!
