It’s really about expectations. After all this is decent Americanized Chinese food not authentic Chinese food. The food is fresh and reasonably tasty but nothing special. The service is good and the prices are reasonable.

Decent Americanized Chinese food. I’ve heard people complain about this place on and off for years. Personally, never a bad experience. Peter (owner/​cook) and his wife are very hardworking and always cheerful. This ain’t Chinatown SF but, to me, the food is better than any other Chinese restaurant in this area and you certainly get plenty for your $$$.
