This place is very pricy… VERY, but the food is AWESOME! The specialty meatloaf is HIGHLY recommended. By the river, beautiful view and has a nice small bar with large TV if we like to catch a sport game. Overall, great experience there.

Great atmosphere out by the river. A bit of a wait after we sat down, but the steaks were worth it! Sides of garlic mash and broccolini were very good. Clam chowder among the best I have had. Do NOT order the peach Brie appetizer. Awful and expensive. Wait staff was awesome.

Great dinner. Coconut calamari was a great appetizer. The huge short rib had so much flavor. My husband had a fabulous wild mushroom risotto with his steak. We really enjoyed the friendly service. It was a perfect evening.

We had the turkey avocado grilled sandwich with butternut squash soup and the roast beef au jut sandwich with slaw. Fantastic! Not too expensive. But the reason for the stop here was the beautiful view and sound of the river. Be sure to make this a stop while in Grants Pass. Service was also friendly and professional.

Best restaurant in Grants Pass. The blackened ahi rocks, the pan seared scallops are not only delicious, but the presentation was so beautiful I took a picture — and that’s the first time I ever took a picture of food. The view is soothing and the help always friendly. And if you like sparkling wines, try the Ruffino Prosecco — happy bubbles.

Food is absolutely delicious! And you can’t beat the ambiance of being on the river while dining. Service, however, is quite slow. Took 20min to be served just our drinks. Luckily the food made up for that. Hopefully that can be improved! Definitely worth trying.

Our family was at Rivers Edge last night. We had a party of 5 people and we were there later in the evening around 8:00 on a Saturday. There was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly although it felt like we were waiting a long time for our food. Two of us had the Filet Mignon. It was cooked to perfection. My sister had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and enjoyed it. Another person had the scallops, she likes them enough that she said it’s the only thing she gets when she goes to this restaurant. My father ordered the meatloaf but they were out of it. So he got crab cakes and a wedge salad instead. They have a large variety of local wines and beers which is great. We will be back again.

My husband and I had our anniversary here and loved the wonderful river view, pretty even at night. The food was superb! I’ve never had scallops better than this — perfectly done with delicious rice patties and a tasty beurre blanc sauce.

My husband and I are fans of River’s Edge. It is a wonderful place to eat. Last night we went for dinner on Feb 13th. When we got our bill and 18% gratuity was automatically added. We were insulted and unhappy about this. This is the first time this has happened. I guess, due to the Valentine’s occasion they decided to add a gratuity for some reason. Since you cannot insure excellent service, which is what a gratuity is for, you should not be automatically adding it to the bill. This is very poor taste. I understand when you have a large group come in that a gratuity is added. People know this up front.

The food at the Rivers Edge is great. My wife and I had our date night last night before heading to the ballet«the nutcracker» in Grants Pass. We both ordered the fielt mignion. Cooked perfect, melt in your mouth perfection, the filets were served with mashed potatoes, brockleni, I had asparagus, with a wine gravy sause. I have cretizied the service in the past, food has always been good but the service was much to be desired. BUT, last night our server Katherine was AWESOME. she is very outgoing and personal along with being very knowledgeable regarding the menu. Awesome job last night Rivers Edge I think you have finally found your perfect staff. Katey, kalob, Debbie and of course the Chief.

Really shocked that the owner of this place has never even bothered to address our terrible experience there. Just shows lack of caring about the customers. Thumbs way down.

This is a great place to go especially in good weather” As soon as we stepped outside to the deck I was smiling. It was so inviting. The ambiance was peaceful and serene. Our table overlooked the river. From there we watched the ducks and other water fowl. Even though the deck was at full capacity it was not noisy. The service was very good, friendly, prompt and we were not rushed. My Fresh Pan Seared Scallops with lemon beurre blanc, coconut rice cakes, sweet carrot curls, and a hoisin drizzle was perfectly prepared and seasoned. We will definitely go there for dinner the next time we are in the area.

PYRRS In order to maintain a consistent and honest assessment of my visits to various businesses, I developed my own Personal Unilocal Review Rating System 1 star = Harsh & Disrespectful 2 stars = Low Rent Low Brow 3 stars = WhatEvs — Eye Candy gave it a boost. 4 stars = Exceptional 5 stars = The Cat’s Pajamas!!! With that said… Our server Karina couldn’t have been better.(And I grade harder than most) The food is fantastic as well as the atmosphere. If you can afford to drop a Benjamin and want a classy meal, go here. Grants Pass’s little gem for sure!!!

No one greeted us when we arrived-after two or three wait staff breezed by and said someone would be by to seat us, she finally appeared. Understandably she’d been seating others, but the longish wait seemed strange with only a few cars in the parking lot. Beautiful view from the terrace, but iron chairs could use cushions and as the evenings get cooler, bring a sweater or jacket if you plan to linger over dinner. The waiter was supposed to be the buser, but the waiter handed him our table and he became our waiter. He was charming, well-informed and timely. His suggestion for wine was great; in general their wine list has a nice selection. We ordered the crab cakes, very good, very fresh, but could have been hotter, the distance from the kitchen and the coolness outside may be a factor. Next we both had caesar salad(not entrée) which were wonderful. It was my meal that brings my review down from 5 star to 4. I ordered the chicken marsala. It arrived on a mountain of mashed potatoes, surrounded by a huge amount of brussel sprouts and topped with a thick brown gravy unlike any marsala I’ve ever had. The ½ breast of chicken was tender and not dry, but the gravy was kind of unappealing and the potatoes overwhelming for the dish. My husband who LOVES mashed potatoes, didn’t finish his either. His meal was well enjoyed, a steak with crab legs which he said were perfect. I tasted the bearnaise sauce on the steak and it seemed salty and reminded me of canned Franco-American brown gravy(from childhood). I’d certainly try it again. I think the fish dishes may be the way to go, the waiter/bus boy said the fish is always fresh on ice, never frozen.

The setting is beautiful — the outdoor seating looks down on the river. The food is adequate. My husband had the salmon sandwich which he said was quite good. I had the French dip. It was mediocre and the au jus was very salty. The service was extremely poor. We had to find someone to seat us after poking our heads in the kitchen. The waitress who delivered our meal never once checked up on us. We were not even asked how the food was. No one even bothered to visit the table to refill the iced tea. It’s hard to believe a restaurant can survive in this day and age with such atrocious customer service. In the end we hunted the waitress down for our tab. Wow! I’m actually writing this as we wait. Too bad!

This place was recommended by a local. We’re not locals. Regardless, spot on dinner by the Rogue River. The tenderloin app, edge salad and pork chop(I seldom order pork chops) were all great. Julie was top notch. We will come back.

Best restaurant along the Rouge river with a beautiful outdoor patio to watch the river and enjoy a glass of wine and halibut entrée. Service was excellent and had great atmosphere. Will definitely return next time in town. Don’t miss this gem just off the main thoroughfare.

Excellent patio for a Mother’s Day weekend lunch. Take advantage of this gem on the beautiful Rogue River. The Chicken Pesto on a panini is delicious.

They’re really lucky the food is amazing. It so sad that the customer service was horrid. We didn’t get a single«how are you?» or even a smile. We were one of the first seated of the evening and one of the last to get our ordered taken and we never even got a drink order taken. We sat for 12 min while the restaurant was empty before someone even came to us. No one came to check on us to see how the food was or even ask if we wanted dessert. Extremely frustrating. As far as the rest of the restaurant goes… Gorgeous outside eating area. The was live music and pretty hanging lights throughout the patio. Lots of ivy growing on the fencing and faces the rogue river.
