Yes the drinks are strong but the food is always cold. Each and every time I go here the food comes out cold, it doesn’t matter if I am with a small group or a big group, just alwasy cold when it gets to us. That being said I think it has to do with something in the kitchen because the waiters are always good. The waiters work hard and are fast moving so I am unsure why the food never good.

Great Tacos! Great service! Horrible music! Worth the stop regardless of the bad music… The street tacos were amazing and VERY reasonably priced I might add…

TERRIBLE. Service was the worst I’d had in a long damn time. Used to frequent here. Always ordered the piggy size nachos and queso to share with hubs. They had large chunks of fajita meat and so many nachos that we had a hard time finishing. Went here tonight which was the first time in a long time and it sucked. Was seated by the door when it was 39 degrees outside and the place was ½ full. Waiter forgot the queso we ordered and when we finally got the nachos they were stone cold and not piggy size. Mgr stepped in to help us. We finally got queso, but by that time(45 min after being seated) we didn’t want it. Received the nachos over an hour after being seated(again they were only ½ full) and they were ok, but not the big chunks of meat they used to serve. They were tiny, cubed pieces of some kind of meat. Mgr comped the meal, which is the only reason I didn’t give 1 star. Asked about the price of a margarita and waiter said it was $ 11! When questioned, it was suddenly $ 9. WTF? This place sucks. No way would I return. Will hit Burritos Locos next time for sure! ½ price and way better service!

The food is great. The service is GREAT. They made a specialty margarita with jalapeños for me and it was AMAZING. Wasn’t my first choice looking from the outside in, but I’d eat here again FORSURE! And get the Brisket Tacos. Because they’re delicious.

The food is really good. Had the brisket tacos and they were very delicious. The brisket was very«homey» tasting like mama would make. Chips and salsa are good too. Margaritas are way to strong for my blood. The only downside is that they close at 9 pm during the week which is lame. We stayed till 9 and it seemed like the waitstaff was giving us dirty looks for staying late. But whatever. I would come here again for takeout.

Used to be my favorite spot in Grapevine. We would meet there before games and even celebrated a few birthdays there. I thought their food was good but I loved their margaritas and salsa. Well the past two occasions they served a margarita that taste like something I could blend in a blender at the house. It’s way to frothy and the big beautiful topper of Grand Gala well I suppose that disappeared too. There salsa recipe has way more of a bite and not as flavorful. Makes me sad. To get my Rita fix we have been going to Gloria’s or Fish City in Southlake.

BEST brisket tacos ever, darn strong margaritas. A little grunge feeling and little crowded, but definitely a good place to get buzzed with friends. 4 stars because the staff was a little sullen, but still good waiting on our table.

Favorite margarita spot of all times! This place had never left me disappointed. Great place for catching up with friends over drinks or for a dinner date night.

Not the best, I had a steak burrito, the steak was tasty but not enough of it. The burrito skin was over large and mostly filled with bland rice. My wife had enchiladas and they were bland as well. My son had the brisket tacos and he said they were just okay– he is 13 and has a strong pallet. Service– we were seated quickly but the waitress had no personality and did not even greet us or saw goodbye when we left. She had time to chat with the guy up front but not to be friendly with her tables. She was the same way with the two tables around us. Not a great experience and the prices were high compared to other Mexican restaurants close by with much better food.

Good was good, but nothing to write home about. Their margaritas however are fantastic! I would come back for drinks and and apps.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Called for a reservation of 18. They told me I would have to give the restaurant $ 50 to hold the table and if one person didn’t show they’d have to keep it. Otherwise I would have to spend the $ 50 at the restaurant. I didn’t understand this bull** until I got there. We showed up «unannounced» and were seated within 10 minutes. The place is super small and super divey. Margaritas were fantastic, couldn’t even finish the second. Food was great as well. Waitress was a mess and a half. She didn’t have any help, she screwed up orders, looked unhappy the whole time, didn’t check on us(we had to ask her for everything), as well ignored us blatantly a few times. I think I had a bad experience that was abnormal for this place due to the happy crowd they had on a Wednesday night. Will return if in the area.

Tex-Mex was the first thing I got when I landed in Texas. I was tired from the flight and slightly traumatized by trying to figure out how to get out of the airport with the nightmare of construction that is happening there, so the giant margarita that was put in front of my face was very, very welcome. The food was good. I had tacos because I love tacos. They were good and went well with the solid margaritas I had. The margs here are probably the best part, though. Strong but not overpowering, and the complimentary warm chips and salsa make a good accompaniment.

Thirteen members of our motorcycle group went here tonight and we will not be going back! The evening started just fine when we got there and our table was set up and waiting for us, but that’s when things started going downhill. Our server took our drink orders, brought the drinks out, and then disappeared for a while. After about thirty minutes the manager and another guy were busing the tables next to us and we told him we would like to order our food. He told us to hang on a minute and he would get our server. He continued to bus the tables, and then eventually left to find our server. Our server returned and took our orders, and things were still going okay… until the food came out. The food didn’t all come out at once, a few plates came out, then about 5 — 10 minutes later some more came out, and then eventually all of the rest of them but one came out. One of our friends plate didn’t come out, and we finally got our server’s attention to let him know, and then went off to the kitchen to get the final plate. That wasn’t the biggest problem. Out of thirteen orders, nine of them were either lukewarm or outright cold. My wife told our server her’s was cold and he took the plate back to the kitchen. She had chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. A few minutes later he brought her back the same plate of food, with the fork in the exact position it was when he took it. The plate was slightly warmer, but the food was still cold. She got his attention again, and again he took the plate back to the kitchen. This time he returned with a fresh plate, and while the enchiladas were warm, the rice and beans were still cold. One of our friends tried sending her plate back, but also got it back with the plate slightly warmer, but the food was still cold. The manager knew about the problems, but never came to talk to us, and the server never offered any apologies or offered to make it right. One of our group had been a regular at the restaurant for a number of years, so he went and asked the manger to go outside so he could talk to him. He chewed the manager out and told him about the problems, that he was a regular, and that he would never be coming back. The manager told him that he didn’t know what the problem was because the food was hot when it left the kitchen. He told our friend that he would give us a discount, but it never showed up on any of our tickets, so we paid full price for bad service and worse food. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want good food or good service, go next door to Taco Bell, you’ll probably get better food and service for a lot less money.

Sadly, I think I must have come in on a really high point for my 5-star review earlier. The chips this time were a little stale, so this suggests to me quality is a bit inconsistent? I also deviated from my norm and tried the ragin’ cajun shrimp tacos, but I didn’t really taste the cajun flavors and was sorely disappointed. While the taco alone would probably dock this down to a 3-star establishment for me, I still have dreams about the steak fajitas and the margs, so I’ll update this place to 4 stars.

We were here for business for a while and it was pretty close to our hotel. We came here several times and the food and service were pretty good. The margaritas were good too. Although we could not find the woman in the blue shirt, much to the chagrin of one of my coworkers, it did appear to be immensely popular. Overall, good food at a good price.

I can’t believe I’ve let this three star review sit here without an update for so long. Two words changed my mind about Baja — SUPER. BRUNCH. Holy fuck. Super Brunch is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. If I had children, I’d ask Super Brunch to be their godparent. Screw that, I would name my firstborn Super Brunch in honor of how super and brunchy Baja’s Super Brunch is. First, you get a plate of the best fucking fruit salad EVER. No overdoses of melon here — expect strawberries, watermelon, grapes, actually delicious fruits instead of shitty filler. Start enjoying your mimosas immediately, because they are loving and generous with the refills on the bottomless mimosas. Next, get your insanely delicious main course. I’m all about the migas, but my husband has had basically every other option which he inevitably declares to be the best thing ever. Passersby have asked us what we are eating and gone on to order the same thing because the food is amazing. Keep drinking your mimosas, cause they are still coming. Finish strong with a delicious sopapilla covered in honey, sugar, and cinnamon and two big heaps of whipped cream. Will you feel like a fatty? Yes. Will it have been worth every calorie? Absolutely. Don’t be surprised if you see a weird news item in the future about me getting married to Super Brunch, because you can’t fight true love. Side note — the hours on Saturday and Sunday are earlier than advertised. I’m pretty sure they open at 9am now for the brunch, but call ahead and make sure.

It’s been over two years since my last review of Baja’s, and I’m pretty sure I still haven’t found a better margarita or Charro bean soup. These two items are definitely 100% amazing, A+++, cannot be beat. I’d be thrilled to try better(is it possible?), so let me know where your favorite margarita and charro beans are on the westisde of DFW. Just message me, for real. Baja’s is consistently enjoyable. It’s not fancy and it’s not the most authentic Mexican cuisine, but it’s damn fine Tex-Mex in a comfortable, casual atmosphere with strong drinks, happy fast service, cute T shirts, and great prices. I’m not very adventurous with my orders here and I usually stick to tortilla soup(it’s a huge serving with tons of lovely avocado), nachos, charro beans, and lettuce wrap tacos(yum). They really do have an awesomely comprehensive menu, including a great brunch… Make sure to try out brunch on on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 – 3, y’all(every dish is only $ 8.99). As far as margaritas go, I can’t tell you much unless it’s about the Original, frozen. It’s big and strong and refreshing. Nothing goes better with chips and salsa than this fine and icy marg! Go for lunch where everything is between $ 7-$ 10, or for dinner for a bit more variety. Gotta love the laid back vibe, the crazy wall décor and photos, their welcoming bar, and their always-satisfactory food. Go go go.

We were stuffed already, but decided to come here for a «snack» anyway. Our order consisted of: Issas Queo: taco meat, quacamole, pico de gallo — pretty good! Brisket quesadillas — my friend loves this! Mad Mex plate: brisket enchilada, brisket taco, pork tamale with side of cilantro rice and Mexican corn — I like how they offered other sides besides the typical orange rice and refried beans. I read other reviews and saw other pictures for this place… everything looks good. I will need to come back and try other items on the menu! Pretty legit Mexican food. Decent prices. «You know it’s authentic when the staff are all Hispanic!»
