Poor service and table always have a greasy film on them. Good hamburgers. I just got tired of the poor service.

Peace Burgers is super yummy! One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The only thing is, the atmosphere is one of those that you have to be in the mood for. It’s a bar like setup where it’s dark, there’s music blaring, TV’s blasting sports, and it’s always really crowded. It’s hard to hear the people you are with, but that can also be fun if it’s what you are looking for. Not too great for families with small children. I went while I was very pregnant, and my husband had to go bargain with people at the bar to trade me a chair with a back.(The only table available one of those tall bar tables with the stools.) But we went before and got to sit at a lower table/booth that had surf boards on them, and that was pretty cool. We haven’t been back in a while since we had our daughter, because there’s no space for high chairs or anything and it’s too noisy.(At least, around dinner time. I’m not sure about off times or during lunch. It’s possible that they have small children come in to eat.) But from what I can tell, that’s not what the place is about. The place is more about adult fun and great bar food.

Our first experience was when we popped in for a late lunch on NY Eve. Cool vibe to place. I like all the stickers, posters and t-shirts hanging up and plastered all over the place. The set up of tables and types of tables lets you know you are in more of a «bar» type place than the name would suggest. My initial impression caused me to Ask a fellow leaving if the food was good. He replied it is «the best burger in Grapevine.» Good enough for me! And he was right! Had the Cowboy burger. Wasn’t too sure about the egg on it but got it anyway and was glad I did.

Another big disappointment for Peace burger. Food came out cold after a long wait. Wait staff new and probably doing the best they could. Kitchen staff bringing out food as I guess waitstaff couldn’t keep up. Beer was cold. About ready to find a new favorite place with hot burgers and homemade onion rings. Any suggestions?

My friends and I used to like this place, but I’m never going back. Drove out of my way to visit today and told the waitress exactly what I wanted as soon as she came to take my drink order: Carne Asada Fries. 40 minutes go by and none of the staff bother to even check on me or the address fact my food order hadn’t come out yet. I try to make eye contact and wave one of them down, but NONE of the waitresses, including the one who took my order, even glanced in my direction. It was almost as if they were going out of their way to avoid me. I walked out, still not having ever received my small, simple order. Their food is good, but it’s not make-me-late-for-my-movie-good. Seriously, I have dozens of friends who work in food service and my wife is a chef, so I know that even if they had to thaw frozen steak it still shouldn’t have taken that long for a single basket of fries and if it really did, then the wait staff should have had the decency to let me know. Save yourself a little money and A LOT of time and eat somewhere else.

Sadly I have to update this review with a not so nice experience. We stopped by Peace Burger and was pleasantly surprised to see it almost empty. A total of 18 customers for the majority of time of our stay. There were at least 4 servers. Why it took more than 5 minutes to be recognized and asked what we wanted to drink was a puzzle for me. We ordered a burger and some wings along with a 50⁄50 basket. While waiting we observed the servers on their phones, eating, drinking and really not paying attention. I had a view to the kitchen and I watched our order sit at the pass until the manager picked it up and brought it out to the server who in turn brought it to us. We were hungry so we dove it. The wings are some of the meatiest wings around, that was great, they dumped all of the extra sauce in the basket to you had to fish out the wings. I can live with that because of the taste. My wife’s burger was less than expected, dry and just tasting a little different. Now, this may seem minor but the onion rings were like rubber. Everyone has an off day in the kitchen but the lack of management on the service was very frustrating. In all fairness they did take off the fries/onion rings but I hate to have that happen. Here is the the kicker, my wife states as we were wrapping up, «I won’t be in a hurry to come back here». It is sad because we have told many people about this place and I am not looking to return.

If you are looking for an amazing burger, this is not the place. There are so many better options locally(but for a true burger experience head to Twisted Root in Roanoake, or HopDoddys in Dallas). Food is blah, greasy and nothing I would care to repeat. If you are looking for a dark«dive» to toss back a bucket of beers and watch a game… Then head here.

Best dive bar around. Amazing food(surf & turf taco for you meat eaters) or the Hippie Burger for veggies! Free nuts and cheap beer with a great atmosphere. My favorite bar in DFW!

I’ve been looking for«my place» ever since I moved here to the DFW area. Something casual and chill, where you can throw a couple back and talk to people who aren’t uptight and stuffy(sorry Southlake! but you kind of are). I’ve spent the better part of my adulthood hanging out in beach bars, and the lifestyle that goes with it. Not really anxious about changing that, but I couldn’t seem to find the spot that reminded me of what we had back home. Peace Burger totally fits the bill. Not only is the food fantastic(think bar food but really, really good), there are plenty of beers and people who are drinking them. The Bob Marley tapestry on the wall made me feel even more at home(if you know what I mean). I will be spending lots and lots of time here. Oh, and the burger, service, and drinks were fantastic. Go if you want to be laid back, watch some sports, and talk to some cool folks.

Really cool place to come and get lunch. The atmosphere is awesome; license plates l over the walls, bar and beer signs and a bunch of cool stuff. Decent burger and beer selection, but great taste. I had the Cowboy Burger which was really good but could have used a sauce on it to put it over the top.

I’d read some good reviews about this place on Unilocal,so thought we would try it out today when we were looking for somewhere new to go in Grapevine. When I walked in, I would have turned around and walked right back out if I had not seen those reviews. The place looks like one of those seedy bars you would find along the boardwalk in Venice Beach or down in the yuckier part of South Padre Island. For the most part, the food was excellent. I really liked the Cowboy Burger(I would have loved it if the fried egg still had a runny yolk), my children enjoyed their meals(fish tacos and chicken nuggets), and my husband loved the mushroom burger. We all shared a basket of onion rings, which were nothing to write home about. Our waitress was not very good, but we could see that the other waitress was good to her customers. Again, the burgers were good, but we would never make a special trip to go back. There are just too many good burger places in the area.

The atmosphere was not exactly what I expected. There was swag all over the walls and ceiling. It might have been excessive for Texas, but I think it would be perfect if it was in San Diego or Miami opening up to a beach. The place had more of a skater vibe rather than a «peace» vibe. Even though it wasn’t what I expected, the food was still good. The fries were damn good. I was impressed. My Cuban sandwich, though, was lacking. I prefer thick ham and harder bread. The bread on the Cuban(Havana) was no good. I don’t recommend it. I’ll return on occasion, but it’s not great.

It breaks my heart to tell you that the era of Peace Burger is over. After spending the last couple of years coming here way more than is appropriate, we finally had to throw in the towel. They still get a three star rating, cause the food is still good and they’ve still got good drink specials and beer choices. But the glory days are gone, and here’s why. First of all, the prices slowly started creeping up. What used to be a $ 20 tab for us is now closer to $ 40. Then, they started making changes to the interior. It was small things at first — the floor was changed, the free peanuts disappeared. Then bigger changes happened. A new bar, they took down memorabilia, and worst of all, they replaced all the tables with teeny, tiny tables. Now you are cramped and don’t even have space on your table to enjoy. The overall feel is something between a dance club and a sports bar. It’s weird. Finally, the atmosphere. They abandoned the badass, homemade playlists for satellite radio stations playing shitty hip hop remixes. It is no longer possible to sit and read in here. Why they are looking for a club atmosphere at 3pm is beyond me. The biggest impact to the atmosphere was the loss of staff. Servers, busboys, and bartenders that had basically become extended family(seriously, we spent WAY too much time here) disappeared. The good news is that the original owners just opened up Lucy’s Lot in Grapevine, with lots of the old staff and definitely the old feel of Peace Burger. So long old Peace Burger, you’re gone but not forgotten!

We were in the area for several days at a convention and wanted to eat at local restaurants. We saw Peace Burger on Unilocal and decided to try it out. We were skeptical when we got to the parking lot because it looked dark in the windows but decided to suck it up and walk in. Thank goodness we did! The restaurant was packed but we were shown to a table by a nice fellow who could tell we were confused. They have lots of food options. We selected a burger each(sissy for the husband and samaba ‘shroom for me) and a side of tater tots to split. My husband also had a captain and coke to drink. All of that and we still walked out of there for $ 22 with tip. Such a steal for delicious food and a fun atmosphere. The waitress was attentive despite the full crowd and there were lots of TV’s for your sport-watching pleasure. I highly recommend this place.

Best kept secret — excellent spot to grab a cheap yet DELICIOUS bite to eat, hang with friends and down some tasty happy hour specials. Each day of the week has a designated special and they’re purdy darn tasty after a long day. Not sure why some of the reviews question seasoning or taste, I mean seriously, it’s a packed burger for under $ 6. very reasonably priced menu for what you get and I think whatever secret seasoning they[re adding to the beef is exceptionally tasty — but then I’m not one to salt my food, pepper yes. So far I’ve had the Cowboy and the Peace Burger wrapped in lettuce, no bun, and my taste buds found both to be delightful. Chili fries are quite tasty too! Onion rings are nice and thick, not too much batter. Have yet to try any of their specialty dogs, tacos, fish, or other items. Pretty much straight beef for this gal. Décor is whimsical, stickers all over the place, funny signs, items hanging from the ceiling, relaxed friendly staff, people of all ages, form here and abroad, all around interesting place that serves great food at an unbelievable prices. Have been up for dinner both times after a workout and fit right in :) Nothing fancy, just your friendly t-shirt neighborhood hole in the wall. There are TVs in the corners and above the bar, not too big or fancy but you can watch your games. It’s also a bit small, so close quarters, limited bar seating, mostly table and chairs. Not too loud. Easy to have a conversation on a Friday eve.

I was in the area getting my car serviced and decided to grab a bite for lunch since I’m rarely over in Grapevine. I scrolled through my Unilocal app and spotted Peace Burger close by. I remembered a lot of positive reviews from my Unilocal friends, so I decided to try it out! It’s located in a strip mall right off of 114, so it might be a little difficult to find. Once you enter, you eyes are bombarded with so many things on the walls! TVs, lights, T-shirts on the ceiling, bumper stickers, and I think I remember a surfboard on the ceiling too. There are several high tables with stools in the middle of the restaurant, and there’s a bar near the back of the premises. There are plenty of big HDTVs as well as a lot of signs promoting game night specials, so I can imagine this spot being a great place to watch sports. I sat down on one of the stools and grabbed a menu. I ordered a Hippie burger along with tater tots and queso. The burger is a black bean burger topped with guacamole, some type of spicy chipotle sauce, jalapenos, and lettuce, tomato and onions. It was very good! The jalapenos and the sauce gave it a nice kick! The poppy seed bun added a lot as well! Nicely toasted and tasted great! The patty itself was good, nothing spectacular, but very good nevertheless! The tots were good too(it’s pretty hard to mess up tots). If you ask for the queso, you will get plenty of it! The tots were covered in cheese… so good and so bad for you! Definitely use the chipotle ketchup that they have on the table! I recommend it… the specialty ketchup adds so much more flavor than the regular kind. I’m real happy that I chose to stop by Peace Burger. I got there during their down time, so I bet it gets pretty loud and packed during their peak hours or during a big game. The only negative thing that I saw about this spot was that apparently the owner or someone there is a big Boston Red Sux fan. I’ll let that slide though, and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area!
