I love Cotton Patch. Food is fresh and as another reviewer wrote, the salmon is perfectly cooked every time. I would call this a family style restaurant with lots of food choices. Staff is very kind and I’m always greeted with a smile. In fact, I’m going there tonight.

After sending email to the Corp Office complain about my last visit. Was emailed Mr Mota the Gen Mgr. he apologized and wanted me to return where they would Make Sure all would be good. I turned down his offer and he said he would send a Gift card to use at any Cotton Patch. I said that’s not the reason why I complained and if wanted to send one. It’s up to him. 2 weeks later. Nothing. So. My. Wife talked me to go back to the same CP. so I emailed Mr Mota to advise I would be in on Friday. Food was ok and the service really wasn’t that good. That was Friday and even Mr Mota didn’t acknowledge my email or wanted to know when I would be there. So. I am guessing he doesn’t really care and to be honest I will never go back to that restaurant again. Poor show on CP part.

I like Cotton Patch in general, it has a good variety of foods and surprisingly the queso is excellent! Today I tried the baked potato soup. I was skeptical because I love my food steaming hot and was scared it would come out luke warm. It came out hot and was so good! Probably one of the best potato soups I’ve ever had! The staff here is a younger crowd. Our waitress was nice, but the staff as a whole just lacked enthusiasm. I could see the cook eating in the back while he cooked and could hear sly remarks the staff made to each back and forth as they walked around to their tables. I would definitely come back due to the quality of food being really good.

Food was ok, but they messed up our order and brought U.S. beef instead of chicken. My silverware was dirty as well. It was inexpensive, but you get what you pay for!

There are a lot of healthy-ish options. You can get fresh steamed veggies, and your protein whether that be some grilled chicken, salmon or tilapia. It’s homestyle cooking and a place I’d probably bring my mama too. Nothing fancy, but sometimes you just want to keep it simple. So this would be your place to go. It’s tucked inside of a shopping center, fairly easy access right off the highway, and plenty of parking.

Chicken fried nation night at the Patch. Should have been packed but it wasn’t. Only about 1⁄3 full at 625PM. Sat down and ordered dinner with my family at 635. I realized after about 10 minutes why no one was there. It must have been 85 degrees in the restaurant. I started watching the servers and I could see in to the kitchen from my table. Everybody was sweating. Servers, hostess, kitchen staff. How appetizing I began to wonder would my food be when everybody who touched sweated on it. By 7PM I was sweating like crazy in the place and I was just sitting there. I watched the kitchen screw up order after order. People came in after us, ate their sweaty dinner, and left. At 725 after much discussion with the family we decided we to go somewhere that doesn’t serve sweat on your food. Did I mention we still hadn’t received our food after 50 minutes. I’m just wondering if there is some kind of OSHA violation for work conditions or if the Tarrant County Health Department should be notified. I will probably do both tomorrow. Maybe the corporate office should get off their asses, go out to restaurants and see what the rest of us experience or maybe they should invest in new equipment.

A nice addition to downtown Grapevine. I had salmon which was prepared perfectly and served hot. Great service. I will visit this and would recommend this restaurant.

Service was good but the food was horrible. Had the fish and chips — it was overcooked and the fish tasted and smelled rancid. I suspect the oil is old. Don’t bother — pass this place and go elsewhere — I wish I had.

I went back and forth on giving CPC Grapevine two or three stars. So, think of this as a 2.5. Basically, I’ve never had an issue with their food. I’ve always enjoyed what I’ve eaten there and have never had any issues the few times I’ve dined in the restaurant. However, take out has been a completely different story. We’ve gotten take out from this location probably no less than ten times. The last six times, there has always been something incorrect with our order. We’ve called, complained, they’ve comped us desserts and yet they still continue to have the same problem Wrong dressing for salad. Wrong sides with entrees. Forgetting the bread, sauce, gravy, whatever. Honestly, after three wrong orders, I was done, but my husband insisted on going back, so we did. Now, I think he’s finally reached his limit as well. So the food, yes when you get the correct thing, is good. But if you order take out, make sure you check your bag thoroughly before you leave the store(open the containers) and make sure everything is correct. Good luck.

Great spot. We walked in on a saturday night and were sat right away. They have $ 5 margaritas and the rolls that was served were great. We ordered a couple of Sirloins which were cooked to order. We tried the bacon cheese fries which were good but a little salty. If I ever return to Dallas I will visit this place again.

Ordered three simple dishes tonight and two out of the three entrees were incorrect. My order came out with fries instead of the side I ordered and my daughter received a creole dish instead of her grilled fish and shrimp. So, we informed one of the servers who said they would correct it. Our original server then came out and asked if everything was correct and we told her we were waiting on a corrected meal for my daughter. 15 minutes later, the server comes out again and asks us if we still want our daughter’s meal(not sure why since she still hadn’t eaten.) After our meal was finished, they finally brought out my daughter’s meal and it was all fried instead of what we originally ordered(grilled). No one offered much of an apology, discount or even a comment from the manager. The server did let us know that we were welcome to «stay as long as we like» and then asked if we wanted to-go cups. We have lived down the street from this restaurant for nine years and consistently seen this type of service. When our kids were younger, no one would wait on us and we could hear the servers arguing over who was going to have to serve our table. In short, this place should be avoided at all costs.

I decided to come here today for lunch to try something different. I use to go to the cotton patch in flower mound and never seemed to have much of a problem at that location, I figured what could go wrong they are all the same… wrong. Now granted today the temperature outside was 103 degree s I didn’t expect them to have the temperature turned down to 60, but as soon as you walked in it was hot and stuffy in the restaurant and I saw they had ALL the fans blowing full blast. Ok, get seated by the window and of course you can feel the heat just beating in off the glass Ughhhhhh. Here comes Scott the waiter, seemed friendly and upbeat, he also seemed hot, as in sweaty hot, ewwww.(Told ya it was stuffy) I ordered the patti melt but I wanted it on white bread, not rye. He comes back 2 minutes later and said«she said if we make your sandwich on white bread that it’s going to be a lot smaller than if we made it on rye bread.» Hmmmm, ooook? I said make it any ways, how bad could it be right? Needless to say when it came out it looked like a normal sized sandwich to me, so whoever«she» was who said it wasn’t going to look right needed to get her proportion s right :/I ended up with a side of cinnamon apples which where good but you didn’t get many :( So ya, to each their own for a Saturday at lunch time this location was NOTBUSY, just a few old timers getting their grub on mmmm not my cup of tea. Next…

Great food excellent prices. 9.99 Turkey and dressing on Sundays. The next best thing to Thanksgiving dinner. Great home cooked food. Very nice servers and pleasant atmosphere. The cornbread and rolls are really good. Great daily specials. A great value for your dollar!

Try the strawberry lemonade. Two down and more to go The food was pretty decent although, one could think it sat under a heat lamp too long or that it was reheated. I ordered a catfish platter that was kind of lack luster. The catfish seemed a bit dry, the hush puppy… literally hush puppy as in one. The mashed potatoes look as though they simply scooped it onto the bowl. I ordered steamed veggies to go with it, they forgot my vegg so I asked them to bring it back out. That was probably the only thing that came out pipping out. Overall it was alright.

I came here with a friend that came into town, and we just wanted to grab a quick lunch. Everything we got was very good. I know we both got the Club Sandwich w/fries that’s my go-to sandwich. Love it always.(but this was a few years ago). It looks like they don’t have it on the menu anymore they have a California Club, not the same at all… But it’s a restaurant that’s always a safe choice, with lots of options for anyone that you are with.

I liked Cotton Patch! The menu is huge and a little daunting. I sort of equate this place to a higher end Chilis or Applebees. Maybe closer to the lines of a Marie Calendars when they were still around. They serve complimentary fresh rolls and cornbread with honey butter when you first sit down. I ordered a salad and it was crisp, fresh and just the right portion. There a lot of comfort foods(meatloaf, pot roast, chicken fried steak, etc.) so it’s easy to go way off the diet when you come here. We skipped desert but I hear the bread pudding is popular and good. Our server was very cool and offered his help in finding the right menu item to order.

Recently we ate here after a vacation away enjoying food all over the South. Coming home to Cotton Patch was a disappointment compared to what we’d been eating. I ordered one of their heart healthy options — the seasoned tilapia with steamed veggies and rice. The fish was so salty(not the thing to help your heart) that to me it was barely edible although a bit of it helped to flavor the steamed vegetables which were remarkably bland-tasting by themselves. Rice was OK. My dining campanion’s meatloaf was not his favorite — he said that the tomato sauce tasted ‘sharp’. He couldn’t begin to polish off the mound of broccoli that came with his dinner. Dinner rolls were dry and flavorless also. The restaurant is homey and the menu is large, mainly filled with comfort food type options. I would rather eat at home.
