If you don’t mind the smell of cigarette smoke it’s an ok sports bar. We sat in dining area to avoid smoke and there were only 6 people total in the restaurant. The queso dip was a good choice for a starter. Chicken fried steak was decent. I think our service would’ve been better if we sat in the bar. They seem to get more attention there. I had to chase down the waitress for our bill.

They went out of their way to accommodate a large group, which was excellent. The food was great, and service was awesome. I had a great time here. They have drink specials daily, and the drinks are not weak. The only downside is they do allow smoking in the bar so even if you’re in the restaurant you still leave smelling like smoke.

I love this place. I’ve only been here for brunch time and it’s never packed. Their avocado sandwhich is delicious. My boyfriend had the blue cheese burger and said it was good as well. I have yet to try any drinks from here but they have a pretty good selection of them.

I respect their right to allow smoking but it stinks in here. They will have to respect my right to go elsewhere. The food and service were both good. I just don’t like to smell cigarette smoke.

I like the burgers. Good selection of beers. However the smoking is nasty. I woukd make this a regular spot however I can’t stand smoking in bar area. To bad I really like the food and the patio.

Much better experience on second time here. The Frito Pie burger was delicious, fries were NOT soggy this go-round, and the service was excellent. Glad I gave this place a second chance!

Flips is just your regular sports bar, they serve the same bar food and drinks as any other bars in the area but the reason why I liked flips more is their customer service. I went during happy hour with my coworkers and our waiter was very attentive and got our drinks and food in a timely manner and constantly checked up on us. I know a lot of people think good customer service is expected when you go to a restaurant or a bar but honestly you don’t really see it anymore so kudos to you flips! also their happy hour drink prices are hard to beat.

BLANDBLANDBLAND! both the burger my husband had and the fish I had were terrible. The coleslaw that came with it had apples in it. I told the bartender I was allergic to the apples she asked if I would rather have something else so I got the fires. Only to be charged extra for them on my bill we took it out of her tip. The service was ok the food was terrible. Won’t be back here

Juicy delicious fresh ground burgers. Ordered medium rare burgers. Tried the Texan, mushroom and blue cheese and we were blown away at the quality of the meat and freshness of the toppings. Thus is the best burger out there. Onion rings and house chips great. Fresh cut fries were a bit soggy and oily though. They need to be cooked in hotter oil.

I have been here 3 times now. They always have good food and ok service. The patio is amazing. The menu has soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and other entrees. This time I ordered the chicken tenders with sweet potato fries. They were hot, crispy, juicy and plump. Probably some of the best chicken strips I’ve had. The sweet potato fries were crisp and delicious. My hubby ordered the French dip which I have also had. It’s juicy and so good. Overall, this place has great food and an amazing patio. They have a good alcohol selection along with food. The service is good but it could be bumped up a notch. I will keep coming back :-)

Racist Racist Racist door people. Came in from out of town and had a drink in my hand from Gaylord that I was throwing away and guy grabs it out my hand and refuses me admittance. I hate Texas and here’s why this would never happen in DC.

Not hopping at 11:35 Saturday morning. They still have the patio chairs stacked on the tables as if they don’t expect lunchers to enjoy the outdoors today, which happens to be gorgeous and not steamy hot yet. Ordered a $ 2.50 mimosa(weekend brunch special — they have TONS of drink specials today! Some aren’t spectacular but quite a few sound pretty good… I might come back later and sample to get feel for quality and value). Mimosa came out fully mixed, no separate pouring of the champagne & juice for me :/ Also ordered the BLT from their brunch menu section for $ 7 with the fruit option instead of hash browns. Surprisingly, the sandwich is huge for a brunch portion. I requested the egg over hard, and they nailed it(yes, this version includes a fried egg). Bacon actually not bad(not a bacon fan these days) — had some meat on it, if that’s possible, little fat and wasn’t fried into a glass shard. Bread was nicely toasted but underbelly sides were a tad on the soft/soggy side and not as well toasted(at first I thought it was soft from steam condensation as it hit the plate. not so). If ordered again, I’d request a zippy spicy mustard to give it a little punch and make it a tad healthier. Ha! It’s a BLT. Baconnn. Fruit bowl was good size and as I’d expect. Just the usual — red grapes, oranges, cantaloupe, honeydew. A blueberry would’ve been nice since those things are dirt cheap right now. Decent stuff for about $ 12. Update– fresh flowers in huge cease in ladies room :)

The option to sit in or out and still watch a game is inviting. The food is excellent and the drinks are inexpensive. You will not find better staff. Be aware that you can smoke in the bar area inside or out.

Smoke fills the air! I’m amazed that restaurants still allow smoking in their dining room! From the moment you walk in this place, all you smell is smoke! I walked in and immediately left. If you feel like smelling like an ash tray, then this is the place for you. The supposed ‘non-smoking’ section still reads of smoke, stay away if you value clean smelling clothes and a pleasant dining experience.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago with about 20 coworkers. We sat on the patio and had a great time. I wish I could say that our waitress was great. She seemed to be annoyed that we took up about five tables. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and chips and salsa. The margarita was very good and the chips and salsa were delicious. The chips are unlimited but if you want more salsa you have to pay $ 3.50. The cost for the chips and salsa is $ 3.50 so your basically paying for another order of chips and salsa. I would probably go again for happy hour with friends or coworkers but I hope we don’t get the same waitress.

In town on business, looking for a place to grab some lunch. Found this place to try for some burgers. Started off with some fried pickles, Cajun style! They were very good, I like how they sliced the pickles so it’s not a whole wedge of hot pickle you’re eating, but more like chips, I recommend maybe slicing them slightly thicker, they were a little too thin, so you almost didn’t taste any pickle, mainly just the good batter. On to the burger, I got the 50/50, I’m sucker for any burger with a fried egg, it’s a favorite of mine. Ordered it medium, came out very juicy and awesome flavor. I couln’t finish it all, I left here trying to eat too much because it was all really good. And you can never go wrong with the fresh cut fries. Service here was awesome, and everyone was very friendly. Would love to come back if I have the time while I’m here in town.

I love me some Flips. However, this location is not nearly as cool as the Fort Worth one. This particular location is much smaller and does not have the huge TVs everywhere. The service doesn’t seem to be as good and just the overall ambiance is not the same. When you enter this location, you are immediately hit with the strong odor of cigarette smoke. Even though their smoking area is glassed off, the smoke seeps through the gaps in the glass and is very obvious upon entering this place. The Fort Worth location is smoke-free, so I prefer that aspect too. The food is pretty good though. I recommend the hummus for an appetizer and the grilled chicken sandwich. It’s really good… Especially with Swiss cheese and avocado slices :)

Stiiiiiiiinks like cigarettes. Or smells like a smoker’s haven — your choice. The actual smoking section is within a glass walled area, but even after having hung out in the non smoking section, it was apparent that my clothes reeked. They were out of many of their seasonal beers, much to my friend’s dismay but I think our upbeat server’s attitude made up for it. Decent place to share some laughs and have a few drinks while catching up with friends.
