I’ve been visiting weekly for a while now and the food is very good. The bacon breakfast sandwich is the best around. I took a variety of traditional muffins in to my staff and they have been clamoring for them since. On Fri and Sat get the sausage/cheese muffins that are amazing. The service is very kind. Why wait until West, TX? The fruit kolaches are delicious. Also, this is a quiet and homey alternative to Starbucks when you need to meet someone in the morning.

People are always friendly and the offerings are delicious. Today I had a baked apple fritter, my wife had a texas muffin, and my daughter a chocolate muffin. Same family that owns Bartleys bbq next door and they are always warm and inviting. This wasn’t our first visit and won’t be our last. Keep up the good work!

This place, and the people are as real as they come. It’s walking distance from our house, so we go as often as we can! Family came in from out of town, and insisted we go every morning for a week. Their cinnamon rolls are addicting. The best you’ll ever have! My favorite is called a «Texas Muffin.» A roll with ham, jalapenos, and cheddar cheese. My husband stalks the«Apple sticks.» A portable apple pie dessert. Certainly a best kept secret in Grapevine… for now at least. :D

Yum! This is the place to go for kolaches and sweets! It almost reminds me of the infamous West, Texas Czech Stop variety. Anyone familiar with this bakery knows what I’m talking about! The bakery is fairly small, and many of their items sell out quickly, so get there early for a full selection. The owner also told me she will put anything aside for you if you just call ahead! *See my photo of the business card’s name and hours. For some reason, both Unilocal and Google have had conflicting information on this location in the past.

I had picked up a Groupon for this place so I went by over the weekend. Given that it was after noon I opted to get a selection of cookies including oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and snicker doodles. The oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip were freaking awesome! The snicker doodle I didn’t really care for but that’s just my taste buds talking rather than the cookie itself. I’ll most definitely be back for more when I’m in the area.

Don’t miss this bakery when you are the area! The best kolaches we have had in so long, and the owner, Miss Ronda, is such a pleasure to talk with! This bakery is located in a strip shopping center, and just has the word«Bakery» as the largest part of its’ sign. We had cheese, peach, and apricot kolaches, an apple fritter, and a huge cinnamon roll, that were all wonderfully delicious! The prices are so reasonable, and they take special orders(a dozen apricot kolaches? yes, Please!!). If you aren’t familiar with kolaches, this is one of the best places to get to know them, along with the wonderful owners, this is one of many great reasons to stop by HCC, when you are in the area!

Awesome backery with lots of great pastries. Owners were very friendly. We loved the peacon pies, cookies, sausage bread rolls, and cream cheese brownies. If you want to experience old fashioned backery goods, this is the pleace.

I absolutely love this bakery! The fruit kolaches are outstanding; think Czech Stop in West, TX! A definite not-to-be-missed item, and they usually have a spectacular variety including apple, cherry, strawberry, apricot, and cream cheese. The sausage rolls are mouth wateringly delicious, especially the spicy ones. I also was able to obtain an apple fritter muffin… OMG… it was incredible! I will definitely keep coming back here for more scrumptious goodness!

I can only assume that I went on an off day. When I walked in, there wasn’t much to choose from. Granted it was late morning but I’m not dinging them for low inventory. I figured I’d buy based on what they had rather than what I thought I might want anyway. It also didn’t smell yummy like a bakery, but rather like something was burning. Like I said, it must have been an off day, based on all the other reviews. I bought two Cream Cheese Brownies that the staff person said were fresh out of the oven(she cut them out of the pan for me), and two Pecan Sandies out of the display case. Anyway, long story short, the brownies were just OK. They were big, but just not as chocolate-y as I would have liked and seemed a bit gummy. The sandies were also very big but had an odd taste, like they were stale. Couldn’t have been, though… Right? Anyway, I was surprised that I was charged something in the range of $ 4.20 — $ 4.50 for all four items(I don’t remember the exact total) and that included any tax. Based on the size of the items, I was expecting to pay more. Based on the taste, I’m glad I didn’t.

My office takes turns bringing breakfast every Friday and this week was my week. I’m not a morning person in any way, shape, or form, so making something myself was out of the question, and I’ve become really bored of the bagels I’ve been bringing in(not to mention the bagel place I’d been going to had the worst service in the history of the world, but that’s another review entirely!) I searched Unilocal to find a bakery close to home that would be open when I headed out for work, and 5-star rated Hometown fit the bill, so I decided to give it a try. Walking into this place is like walking into bakery heaven. It smells INCREDIBLE. I ordered a pan of cinnamon rolls(6 rolls) and 4 sausage rolls. The owner was amazingly friendly, cheerful, and sweet(even at 7am, which is a feat for morning-haters like me!) She gave me a punch card to use to earn a discount, and a coupon to use on my next visit, too! I’ll definitely be getting some good use out of both, because I know I’ll be back — A LOT. By the time I got into my car, I was drunk off the smell of the cinnamon rolls. I can’t even explain it. It’s not that normal, overly-cinnamon smell of the store-bought rolls, but something else entirely. Halfway down the road, I couldn’t help myself anymore and had to sneak one of the sausage rolls. The bread was soft, still warm from the oven. The sausage was delicious — wonderful quality and flavor to die for. I feel a little silly writing so passionately about a sausage roll, but seriously, they are THAT good. The cinnamon rolls don’t taste like your average, store-bought rolls. I can’t really put my finger on exactly what makes them so different, but they are just incredible. They are soft and decadent and just absolute perfection. If you’re looking for THE most amazing, home-baked, fresh, make-you-happy-for-the-rest-of-the-day bakery, Hometown is it!

I bought a groupon and went by early in the am to pick up some treats for the people at work. The owner was so nice and helpful. Everyone at work loved the cinnamon rolls and kolaches. Big hit!

This place is seriously phenomenal! The sausage rolls are by far the best I’ve ever had and do I say *gasp* better than anything I have ever had at the Czech Stop. Yes they are that good! The cinnamon bun is a must try and their cookies are huge. Don’t miss out on this gem of a bakery!

Do NOT go if you are on a diet! The cinnamon rolls are to die for! HUGE, super fresh, soft and simply delicious. Your will power will melt into one of their soft, sweet, decadant, buttery rolls. You’ll be lucky to make it out the door without licking your fingers from not being able to wait to taste it. The people are so nice! Tiny, little place that is hard to find on the corner of NW Hwy & Dooley next to Bartleys BBQ. Definately worth visiting! Go early and get them while they are still warm.

I love this little, family-run bakery. Their cinnamon roll is amazing ! Hometown’s cinnamon roll was like a cinnamon bomb from heaven, with a soft and pleasant dough; I was not a fan of cinnamon buns beforehand, apparently other bakeries don’t know how to make them. Their cookies have also made it onto my list of favorites, they’re not too sweet, they have the perfect crispy/chewy ratio that a quality«home-made» baked cookie should have, the amount of cookie ingredients(pecans, walnuts, chocolate chips, raisins) bakes into the cookie are of a generous amount, and they’re HUGE. My favorite would have to be their walnut-raisin oat cookies, but I’m also fond of their pecan chocolate chip. My better half likes their cinnamon sugar cookies(they have a very strong pop of cinnamon!). Make sure you get there early, if memory serves they open at 6 but close at noon during the winter, and they are closed on Sundays.

Best breakfast sausage rolls in the DfW! They also have Texas sized cinnamon rolls and tons of delicious cookies. Definitely the best little bakery.
