No excuse for not having ANY craft beer whatsoever. So much good beer available and all they have is the usual crap.

We’ve eaten here on many Tue for the half price burgers. We haven’t had a bad one yet. Surprisingly I even like their fries, I don’t usually eat fries. I’ve also had the salmon salad and thought that was good too.

There’s a still a place you can eat and drink for 20 bucks?! Good chicken nachos… Huge so please share. Service was so-so, but over all a good little hole in the wall.

I have been here many times and had most of the food on the menu and the quality is way above the standard sports bar type food. The Queso is awesome and definitely should try that! The staff overall is great and if there is any issue with anything they are accomodating and will resolve it. I never went here when it was the Mexican place, but do think the long high top table in the center does need to be lowered for the comfort of the patrons. I love it here and hope they continue with the great food and service!

My husband and i like this place a lot. In summary, good food with reasonable price, with nice customer service and music! The food is much better than the typical bar food and they have great deals for happy hour :)

I was drawn to Press Box Grill by the promise of Franconia Dunkel and was disappointed to find out they no longer have it on tap. You know how it is when you have a specific craving, and think you’re about to sate it, and then find out you have to pick something else? It was tough call, but the cheap drink prices for their happy hour(which was from opening to 7pm, with just about everything below $ 4) made the pain a little easier to bear. In between drinking a 1554 and enjoying my book, I noticed a couple of things. The first is that this is a nice place, but was very empty. I arrived about 3pm and left about 5pm, just as business seemed to be picking up. The bartender was also very nice and accommodating, even checking the ingredients in their broccoli and cheese soup to see if it was vegetarian for me(it wasn’t). The prices on their food were a little steep, but the cheap drinks made up for it. The music ratio was about five terrible 80s rock songs to every one decent song from the late 70s, and all just a little too loud but not so loud that I couldn’t get my read on. A friendly fellow patron was talking to the bartender(and maybe owner?) about the Maple Crown Royal he had talked them in to carrying. He let me have a sip of his(I know, I know, cooties. What was I thinking?) and it was DELICIOUS. I hadn’t heard of it before, but definitely ordered myself a glass on the rocks. I also munched on a baked potato, which was good, but for the price, I’m not sure. $ 7 for something that would cost pennies on the dollar to make at home is a little rough. I noticed they did have a veggie burger and a portabella mushroom and swiss cheese burger, so vegetarians will be able to eat here, but be prepared to drop at least $ 10 for a burger. Also, as mentioned in the other reviews, the bar was a little ridiculously tall. I didn’t notice until I tried to eat and my elbows were at my ears when I was cutting my potatoes. But they do have a live sized Elvis inside. And that fixes just about anything,

wonderful, neighborhood bar. friendly staff. It didn’t bother me that I was practically the only person in the joint. Ordered a lamb burger. Very rich in flavor. Ordered it med/rare. It came med/well. I didn’t have thet heart to send it back. Next time I tell the cook 5 min on one-side and 2 on the other. The fries were crispy and wonderful. Would have love to had a Amstel which they didn’t have on tap but ordered Dos XX instead. I’ll give them a try again

Do we like it here? I guess we do because we go a lot. I particularly like the $ 1.00 margaritas even though they are small, but what do you expect for a buck? We went the other night and the drink special was sangria which they didn’t have but did let me get another drink for the same price which was probably better than the sangria. The mayo on the table was expired and I didn’t notice until after I had mayo’d my bun so when I told the server, he brought us a non expired bottle of mayo and a new bun. Nice patio and good service. I hope they stay in business longer than all their predecessors.

This place is walking distance from my brothers house, so while I was in Texas this weekend, we had lunch here. Typical sports bar… lots of TV’s. Pretty impressive bar food! Outdoor patio, bar for Sunday football games… I had a turkey sandwich that was really good(toasted bread. came with a salad or soup) They have great cheese dip too! Waiter was nice, but the place was dead on a Sunday.

I really didn’t like this place at all. At first it seemed great! I love sport bars and watching sports while I eat. It took us several minutes to be seated and soon was greeted by our waiter. First let me say that he’s one of the worse waiter I’ve ever had, he forgot to get my drink order and he seemed busy with other stuff. When my family and friends tried asking him questions he would start wobbling back and forth like there was something better to do at the time. I know it must be stressful to be a waiter sometimes but at least he could of made it appear like he interested. I didn’t see much on the menu that I wanted so I just picked a Philly cheese steak, my fall back because I normally love them. But when I got it it just tasted very bland. The beef was tough and chewy and it just tasted dry. I think I took about 5 bites before I gave up on it. So overall my experience here was pretty bad. The sports were good but I could have went somewhere else for the sports. Hopefully it was just a one time thing, maybe ill come back after I get home from college.

Had drinks and light snacks with some co-workers here a week or so ago. It’s a nice place to have a drink. Most of the tables bar height with chairs to match, but they’re some of the most comfortable(and heavy duty) bar chairs I’ve seen, so that’s a very good thing. My Modelo Especial draft beer was cold and tasty, though each of my two was served in a different kind of glass. Variety, I guess. Fried pickles were the only food I tried, and they were crisp and delicious without being greasy. They also have a decent sized outdoor seating area if that’s how you roll.

So this is a half review… we ordered our food for pickup and ate at home. So I can only comment on the food… which was awesome! We ordered the nacho appetizer, which was pretty good. It is covered with chili and then all the normal toppings for nachos. I am not a fan of chili nachos, but overall it tasted fine; maybe a little greasy from the chili. I ordered the buffalo salad for my main course and it did not disappoint. The blue cheese crumbles were abundant and the chicken had a descent buffalo flavor. My daughter had the fried shrimp and french fries; they too were very good. The best part of the meal was the burger my husband ordered. He ordered the blue cheese bacon burger which was awesome! I highly recommend the burgers there. We will definitely be returning!

You can get a beer alot of places in Grapevine, but the service is often lacking. I’ve been here twice and sat at the bar both times. Fernando(I think) is a great bartender because he brings what I want WHEN I want it, not 10 minutes after he gets around to it. I’ve eaten here once and the Pesto Chicken Sandwich was really amazing and thoroughly cooked(I really should review the place in Richardson that made me quite sick the other day). I have grown tired of the service(or lack thereof) at the other restaurants/bars in Grapevine, so I will be back often for the food and the service.

After seeing an online review and since it was close to my house, I wanted to try it out for myself. I’ve been there about 3 times and I think it’s quickly becoming my new favorite spot to watch a game or go grab a quick bite. I still haven’t tried the jalapeño pork chop but from what everyone keeps saying about it, it’s definitely on my list. Really liked the queso, fries, good burger and their blackened chickened sandwich was also tasty. They also have a good selection of beers and Dos XX on their regular happy hour price is unheard of. Most restaurants and bars will only offer domestics on HH, so $ 2 for a dos XX is definitely a reason to drop in; however, the reason that I decided to give this place 5 stars is because of the staff. There are so many places to go and grab good food but the staff can make all the difference and everytime that i’ve been there, i’ve been made to feel at home… it’s becoming my version of Cheers! The bartender Fernando is very friendly and attentive, so definitely drop by and let him serve you. I was their for the superbowl and although it was busy and everyone was running around, I never had to wait on a drink as he was on top of his game. So definitely stop by for a cheap beer, some good food and some great service.

My wife and I tried this on a Friday night as looking at the website they have a variety of beers. Beer prices were VERY reasonable. We ordered chips and salsa, the salsa was very good, tasted freshly made. I ordered the Cheese steak sandwich, very good. We will go back to sit on the patio! Tom stopped by to welcome us and visited with us for a while. Enjoyed the visit.

I’m trying to keep an open mind towards this place because they have only been open two weeks. With that said, these folks need to realize that the bar is set pretty high when competing with burger-serving-sports-bars in the Grapevine area and they are no where near meeting the bar, much less exceeding it. First and foremost the service was simply terrible. We watched one couple come in after us, order their food after us and finish their meal before we were able to place our food order. That might not have been so bad if the beers were flowing but we kept having to waive our server over to order additional beers after we finished the first one. We started off with an order of Buffalo Wings. They were very apparently straight out of the freezer and into the fryer. Definitely won’t be ordering them again. The sauce was okay but the breading was kind of soggy and the meat chewy. My husband and I both ordered a burger. They were good. Not Bottlecaps good, or Peace Burger good or Whataburger good but they were an okay burger. The fries were your average fries. The onion rings looked better. We will give Press Box Grill another try because as I said, they have only been open two weeks and maybe they just haven’t hit their stride yet. Also, we like to see businesses succeed in Grapevine. With that said, competition is tough in Grapevine and they better get their business in line pretty quick or once again this location will find itself empty. Perhaps they should consider getting some staff members from their Dallas location(which I hear very good things about) over to the Grapevine location to help them the staff up to par. Of course, that won’t address the poor quality Buffalo Wings or so/so fries but a top-notch staff can go along way when you add big screen TVs and a wide variety of beers.

This location of the Press Box Grill is the new venue in the location formerly occupied by the Los Cabos restaurant. The Press Box Grill has a primary location in downtown Dallas, and Mrs. B and I had a nice lunch at the newly opened Grapevine location. First and foremost, the redecoration to a sports bar is complete with big televisions! I suppose if you wanted to avoid sports on TV, you could have a seat in the back of the interior or outside on the patio. We sat at one of the large tables in the dining room, and the Elvis statue was posed behind us. We both selected variations of a hamburger, which were pretty good. They are served open-face on a kaiser bun, and all the extras were nice and tasty. Upgrading from french fries to onion rings or sweet potato fries is a $ 2 upsell, but I can verify that the thick onion rings are worth it. The patty was juicy and flavorful cooked medium-well. The thing that I was not quite so excited about was the pricing. The reason that Mrs. B and I both went with burgers is because everything seemed really high. In fact, we saw them delivering a club sandwich to another table that looked really good, but I didn’t know if I could do $ 9 for a club sandwich. We also checked out the beer prices, even though we weren’t drinking that day, and they seemed to be on the high side of average as well. The service was also somewhat distant but friendly. Our server took a phone call while delivering our check, which seemed to lack a little courtesy, but it was a late lunch, and a beer vendor was there, so there likely was business to be done, so I can give some leeway. Go for the large TV, and go for the beer during happy hour. Go for a pretty good burger and don’t be afraid to upgrade to the onion rings. Sit on the patio when the weather gets nice.

I hate to do this, because I really wanted to love it. We went on a Monday night, because we have a weird schedule. But seeing as its supposed to be a ‘bar’ atmosphere, and they are open late… we gave it a go. Only 2 tables were occupied when we arrived, and I immediately got a weird vibe from the display plate of food at the entrance. We were seated at the bar table, which was made entirely too tall. A 6 foot guy shouldn’t have a table come to his shoulders when he sits down… being 5’2, I felt like I needed a booster seat! The waiter appeared to be the only person working, and took 10 min to even greet us and take our drink order. After we ordered our drinks, my group made the decision to tab out and go to pluckers where there is a better atmosphere, better service, and the tables don’t make you feel like a 4 year old. I am not sure if I will give it another try… maybe in a few months.

My first visit here was on their Grand Opening night, which coincidentally was the same night as the UFC fights. I was a bit nervous during the drive over there, because I have tried to go to sports bar/grill places before to try and watch fights, and I might as well be watching them from a sardine can. I was pleasantly surprised to get both a good seat at the bar, and a good view as well! I ordered a soda and a burger, which came out pretty quick. I was impressed, because they were obviously very busy this night. The bartender was attentive, and checked on me frequently. The burger was tasty, and came cooked exactly as I asked for it. I ended up nearly cleaning out my entire plate. The remainder of the night, I sipped on my soda and watched the fights comfortably. I have to say, I was very happy with my experience here. If I am out in this part of town again, I will be back.

Press Box Grill is the restaurant formerly known as Los Cabos. It’s tucked away in a little strip center in Grapevine, but I think the restaurant will do well. The food was tasty. We started with the chips and queso, I had the turkey burger and my husband had the Chicken Fried Steak(and he is an expert in Chicken Fried Steak) both of us were impressed. My fries were a bit salty, but nothing that a cold beer couldn’t wash down. My only concern was the slow service. They seemed really understaffed, but that’s understandable since they are so new. They have their grand opening this weekend, so hopefully more locals will have a good experience. Grapevine needed a new laid back sports bar and I think the Press Box will deliver. Oh, and one more bonus for the restaurant… they respond if you tweet them! Pretty cool ;) Enjoy!
