I have been here a number of times. The food is good, some creative appetizers. Excellent variety of craft beers, Martinis and wine. Nice atmosphere and have outdoor area too. Not exactly the place to go if you are looking for draft beers, burgers and TV’s.

Selections are decent. Prices are a little high for the quality of the food. The food is presented well, however the quality is hit or miss depending on the day. It can also get very loud on the weekends.

The Porkchop seasoned with herbs and garlic was very tasty. The broccolini was perfectly grilled and the pasta with marinara sauce tasted very fresh. My husband had the Red wine glazed filet and it was tender and tasty. A little over cooked for medium rare however. The Yukon Gold mashed potatoes were excellent. Most importantly, the server, Amy, was exceptionally attentive to food restrictions and accommodations that could be made in a creative way.

Amazing wine, martinis and meat and cheese plates. The atmosphere is excellent as well. Would definitely recommend for a nice happy hour!

The restaurant actually deserves a 3.5. The food is slightly above average, and it’s obvious that the alcohol selection is the main attraction here. The ambiance is nice, the décor is tasteful, and the food came out relatively quickly. The clientele here is interesting; it’s a hang out place for 20 – 40 somethings. That says something about just how tasteful the interior is. The service isn’t spectacular, rather, it is just sufficient. They are, however, quick to correct any mistakes, and their eagerness to improve is greatly appreciated. The food is not bad, but it’s a little bland. The prosciutto was nothing special. In fact, it was little more than glorified ham. No smoked or salt-treated flavor whatsoever. A tad disappointing in all honesty. Other than that, everything was fine.

Nestled in Downtown Grayslake is a lovely wine/martini bar. I’ve been here several times. The food is good. Always has a different special. It is a little persnickety sometimes for me, depending on the clientele that are there on any particular night. They have a beautiful deck in the back to eat or just to enjoy a cocktail.

I love this place. Great food and wine. Will definitely be going back again. Also our waiter was great. Can’t wait to sit outside on the deck.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve been here multiple times and every time has been a good experience. I love the Ditzy Blonde martinis which is made with Champagne. Their calamari appetizer is yummy so I recommend to get that! There is indoor and outdoor seating so it’s a great place in the summertime. They have fantastic martinis, wine and food. It’s a little gem in Grayslake

I usually love this restaurant, because it has good drink deals and pretty decent food. However, when I recently visited, I absolutely abhorred the service. The hostess was very rude and was too busy talking to a friend about how she’s become«a really great dancer”(…like k) to attend to the people waiting to put their name in. Then, someone in my party ordered the shrimp salad and received what smelled like if Flint, Michigan had a seafood market. Horrid. We asked for a replacement and they did bring us a new meal. However, they did not apologized and acted like they were being gracious by not charging us for the shrimp but still charging us for the replacement meal. Like, I’m pretty sure in some cultures you can stick someone’s face in the food the same way you stick a dog’s nose in its own pee if they serve you actual rotten food. This is why small businesses get run out by Applebee’s. Do more.

This place is an old haunt of mine when I lived in the area. They have great local and domestic drafts on tap as well as a great wine selection and make amazing martinis. Basically an all around great place to grab a beverage to we your whistle with friends. Personally I loved to sit on the porch with my pals and enjoy. Not a bad place to get a snack while relaxing as well. Not really recommended for food food kind of fill ups-hit up some of the other fantastic places in the area, just being honest.

For being in a small town this restaurant has a very city feel with American fare, classic drinks such as Martinis, cosmos, and all sorts of fine wines. The food was amazing. I personally had the southwest burger subbed with turkey and it was delicious. Everything was customizable they even had a dish to please my vegan sister. A polento dish cut up to look like steak. I ordered fried onion rings on my juicy burger with a pretzel bun, pepper jack cheese & jalapeño bits in my burger. The wait for the food was long but everything was made to order & so fresh. The only less than stellar plate was my husbands Cesar salad it was very small for what you would expect to pay for a full sized salad nonetheless everything was delicious. My vegetarian friend had a wrap with sweet potato fries so yummy. And the best part is they accommodate large parties. 12 of us, Wednesday night, reserved an hour in advance and they all fit us in without delay. This place really goes above & beyond. They have also made recent remodeling it looks beautiful they opened up a wall. Come here for a city feel in the suburbs…

Been in many times over the years and much prefer sitting at the bar than at a table. The folks behind the bar are knowledgeable and friendly and remember you. Brought my son in for his 21st birthday one weekend, then a few weekends later, we were back and the bartender asked where the son was — that is a memory since we are far from regulars here. They always have a nice craft beer selection and I have never had a dish that I would not recommend. I love that they always have a rotating cheese selection. The only thing I have not liked about The Vine is the couple of times I have been there with a large group(10+ people) for dinner. Reservations were made ahead of time and both times, our group was set at a table in the hall way, near the bathroom.

So I walk into the place and asked if I could just go to the bar for a drink. They said«yes». The wife and I walk in and, just as we get to the bar, a couple gets up and leaves. We sit down happy and ready to have a few. The bartender asks us to get up and leave because another two guys had been waiting for a seat somewhere by the back wall. They never said you needed a reservation at the bar otherwise we wouldn’t have come in. I’ve never been kicked out of a seat at a bar before.

2 stars because the food wasn’t too bad. However, the service was the WORST I’ve experienced in a long time. Not only this time… The previous time too! I usually give a place a couple/few chances and this being the 2nd time was just the same as the first. VERYVERYVERYSLOW service when it wasn’t busy both times. The food as I said wasn’t bad– but no way will I go back for a 3rd time.

After hearing such good things from friends and family, I was eager to check out The Vine. Located in adorable downtown Grayslake, it’s a quaint, charming little spot. We came on a Thursday night and they had $ 5 Appletinis. They have quite a long list of special martinis, so check those out for sure! Our waiter was great. He was very kind and pleasant. The menu has great selections of various items including cheese and charcuterie boards to start with. I decided to order their turkey burger and it was full of flavor with a delicious pretzel bun. They also offer some delicious wines. The atmosphere was very cozy, especially with some couches by the fireplace. I hear they have a great patio in the back for warmer months. I will be back for sure!

Can I curse on Unilocal? We came here after our daughters cheered at the high school and had to stay for the varsity game… it was packed but we got a seat against the wall and had a glass or two of wine while waiting for our table. Once we got seated our service was fantastic… we both ordered turkey burgers, not expecting much from the food, I can honestly say I have never had a better burger let alone turkey burger in MYLIFE, we live 45 minutes away and I would drive that every weekend to have that burger again. Fantastic job folks.

The Vine is an upscale bar with friendly service in a warm, comfortable environment. I’ve been here countless times over the years, and I always leave happy. When you walk in, the main room is very inviting. As you scan the room, you’ll notice lots of exposed brick and wood, an attractive bar, and towards the back is a fire place with a couple of couches. I’ve probably had just about everything on the menu, and it’s all good. The Filet Medallions with raspberry sauce is a must for any new visitor. They have a great beer selection. They also have a wide variety of very tasty martinis, but they never seem to fill the martini glass quite as high as other restaurants do. Service is always friendly and attentive. In the summer the deck offers a great atmosphere, especially when they have live music. Overall, a wonderful place to go for a romantic date night, or for a fun night with a group.

The service at The Vine was beyond horrible. Our waitress was slow, unprofessional and lazy. We did not receive refills until having to ask several times. The food was decent, but nothing I’d come back for. We ate outside and there was no propane for the outdoor heaters. After we mentioned this to our waitress she stated«Oh yeah, that sucks. The owner could care less». I would only come back for martinis if in the neighborhood.

This is one of our favorite local places now(especially since they’ve finished the back patio!) The food is great! We’ve tried several things, and the only thing my husband didn’t like was the southwestern wrap(at least I think that’s what it’s called). I love the cobb salad and the nachos are pretty great. Lots of beer to choose from and an extensive martini list– our favorite is the jalepeno one. Good date night place!

Love the open brick and charming feel, like a high-end cabin for dinner and drinks. Went for happy hour with some girlfriends, my first time, but they are regulars and gave some suggestions on Martinis. Three. Pages. Of. Martinis. Enough said! I tried two and they were excellent. The menu looks great, I wanted to try 5 things, but that night tempura artichoke. Very yummy, fried, but light. Can’t wait to go back for dinner and more Martinis.
